At first this was hard to find. It sits on the second floor of the building. What a nice place. They provide indoor seating and a full bar. They also offer an outside covered patio seating. Then you can go to the rooftop with some decent views and nice seating. The staff was wonderful. Not sure they could be any better. What a great experience. Food was fabulous. Not sure you can get anything that would taste bad. The starters were great. The bread was delicious. The cauliflower was sweet and delicious. The meals were fantastic and the desert was amazing. We were delighted by the French cut mini lamb lollipops as a special appetizer, and the pork skewers and tomato pie were also great. We also didn't resist the sourdough made by "sourbroughs" and glad we didn't! These were some welcome updates to the starter menu. The dinner special snapper was excellent, and the steak tips were cooked perfectly over fettuccine. 1509 and the entire updated Kress building / hotel is a downtown Brunswick gem worth stopping by. My wife chose this restaurant because of the rooftop patio and outdoor dining area so we decided to go. We were seated outdoors on a small second level patio which overlooked some rooftops of a few warehouses and junk in the yard off the street. It was nice to be outdoors however the view was not remarkable. After our meal we walked through and saw another indoor/outdoor room and a rooftop patio where one can bring drinks. They were both actually pretty nice. I ordered the French Onion soup and the Steak (sirloin tip) Fettuccine and my wife ordered the Farm 99 Salad and the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. The onion soup was fine however nothing remarkable and the steak fettuccine was a nice portion with fresh homemade pasta. I thought the dish was just OK and note it had small chunks of parsnip in it, which I did not think was right for that dish. I probably will try something else the next time. The salad was fresh and basically potatoes beets, red onion, and feta cheese. It was just OK as well. The star of the meal was the Bacon wrapped pork tenderloin which was a nice portion and very tasty. It was cooked appropriately and presented on a bed of puréed potatoes and Brussels. I would order this again if we returned. We arrived during happy hour however, our server seemed uncertain of the time or day and the nature of happy hour when we asked but confirmed it was in effect. We reminded her when we received the bill so she adjusted for the drinks appropriately. A general note, we always appreciate when the staff tell us about happy hour when seated and bring us a menu....as opposed to having to work to draw the information out of them. We might give this place another chance however we'll see if we return after comparing to other restaurants. read more

Service was wonderful, unfortunately the food here was essentially inedible. The "catch of the day" tasted like years-frozen wahoo it was so fishy and overcooked. Two of us got it and couldn't eat it. Sister in laws chicken though was so disgusting that we are worried she will get food poisoning. My husband tried it and was horrified - it didn't even taste like chicken. Our other friends pork tenderloin was raw. One of our first stops here in The Wick was this restaurant, sitting on the rooftop in Downtown Brunswick. First off, the vibe in here is cool even down to the music selection. Reminded me of home back in Los Angeles. The bar is fully stocked and the menu has some unique eats. The staff was very friendly and ensured my wife and I were well taken care of the whole evening. I ordered the molasses brined pork chop... Phenomenal. There is also a nice sitting area above the outdoor dining area to smoke cigars. Overall, a sold choice for a nice meal out in The Wick. This place is amazing. They have indoor and outdoors seating. If you are a cigar smoker like myself they have a rooftop cigar area, that is amazing and you won't find anything like it in this area. We ate outside, early September, but it was quite comfortable. Definitely order the fried brussel sprouts. The food and service were slightly better than Reids, but I would recommend both restaurants. We had the best service and food. We actually are out of town and ate there two nights in a row the first night we had Lexi the second night. We had Kaitlyn the second night. Lexi was the bartender. The restaurant was packed and she did the most amazing job attending to us. We would definitely go back and would definitely recommend this restaurant to all of our friends. We love the atmosphere. I gave this place three stars because the bartender was amiable and recommended a beer he thought I would like. I forgot his name, but everyone knows him. I ordered a pork chop dinner, and my wife ordered some pasta. When I tell you the portion of her meal was very small for a $29 plate, my pork chop was okay, and she was unhappy about her pasta dinner. The waiter was not attentive because he had a big party outside, and he apologized every time he came back, so we did not get his entire attention. The balcony was very nice. Our reservation was for 7:30, and we waited a few extra minutes to be seated, but we got drinks at the bar and sat on the couches outside. We arrived 5 min before our reservation, stood waiting for our table for an hour, and had to endure a smart remark from the hostess at the front desk when we asked about the wait for our table. We were finally offered a table outside. Our waiter was very cordial, thankfully, and the food came out quickly. However, the food was salty and when we asked to have our leftovers boxed to take home, we were told that no take out trays were available. We spent $200 for a horrible experience overall. Had the Schroeder's Market bread service - Amazing ! Came out steaming hot and the garlic herb butter was to die for! Also, got the crispy pork belly. Seasoning was excellent and the pickled onions cut the fattiness of the pork so well. I made a little slider with the bread and the pork belly and it made everything everything even better! For entrees, we had the Tilefish (catch of the day) and the shrimp & grits. The tilefish was cooked perfectly; super crispy on the outside, but tender, juicy, and flaky. I've had a lot of shrimp & grits in my life, and these are the best I've ever had. Shrimp was cooked perfectly, grits were the perfect texture, and the bacon added the perfect smoky touch. Good things first: the location is great. easy to find, park, decor is beautiful inside and out, rooftop views are cool. The service is decent. A little slow but perhaps that is by design so that you stay and continue to order. Everyone was pleasant and friendly. The food is ok. Portions are on the small side. For example, the $12 Caesar salad was a small side salad, not entree sized. Seafood was hit and miss. Others at the table reported their steaks were very good. Lastly, the night we were there we had a reservation for 8. We were seated on the outside patio which was lovely but directly next to the live saxophonist. He was very talented but we essentially ate our meal in silence since it was so loud. Not sure why you would seat a party that large near the music but we didn't have other options when we arrived. We couldn't really celebrate the 55th anniversary guests of honor because we could only speak to the person immediately next to us. Might be great for a date night since a couple would have to lean in to hear each other but harder on a large group. Unfortunately It overshadowed the entire experience.
