Saturday afternoon- group of 5. Place was busy but found a table no issue. Here is what we liked: * The appetizers were good. Had the loaded blue cheese fries. Loved the sauce. * Wings were solid good. * Service was nice, like genuinely nice. *The pickle chips had a perfect crisp to them * decent selection of beers and cocktails What could of been better: * The fries could have been crisp. Waited an hour for a table then host said they couldn't find our name. Finally they got us a table and we waited one hour and 30 minutes for food. Longest time I have ever waited for bar food or any food. Not worth it at all!!!!! read more

This was a last minute find for us. It was a trivia night. We didn not participate but the crowd was fun and the host were great. Service was good. And the food was solid. I would say it's a place worth stopping at. The onion rings were fabulous. The goat cheese balls were solid if you like goat cheese. The pork chop sandwich was a great pick as well. read more

We were staying in the downtown historic Brunswick area and I was looking for a place to watch Monday Night Football. Tipsy McSway's is open until 10 PM and the kitchen stops taking orders at 9 PM. After looking over the menu, I decided to try the Brunswick stack sandwich. I had hoped to try the tomato bisque soup as my side, but unfortunately, they only serve chili, not soup, on Mondays. So instead, I ordered the fried potato salad as my side, and it was surprisingly delicious. It comes with small diced potatoes in a warm savory mustard sauce. When I originally asked the bartender what he recommended, he mentioned the Brunswick stack sandwich as well as the smash burgers. While the sandwich was good, I would probably try one of the burgers next time. Nevertheless, I would definitely get the fried potato salad again. The next time I'm in the area, I would definitely consider returning to Tipsy McSway's and I would recommend it to others as well. Cheers read more

Ordered the Green Goddess sandwich with a side of onion rings and split it with my husband. It was very good! Loved the garlic aioli. The onion rings were good but would've been better if they were hot. There was live music and the place was very busy. Our server was great! read more

Ordered fried fish and chips, substituting chips for onion rings. Fish was overcooked and dry with massive amounts of breading. Onion rings around our table were all served cold. Additional $7 for a thimble of cold slaw. Not happy.​ read more

The food was very good and reasonably priced. They had live music, which is always a plus. Service was rushed and felt fake-friendly. You have to pass the kitchen and janitorial supplies to get to the bathroom which is unpleasant. Parking was easy to find on the street but you will need to walk a couple blocks, especially when crowded. In the future I'd prefer to do takeout for the good food and skip the dine-in. The dining room is small, tables were uncomfortable and everyone was looking at everyone else, which was weird. There is no focal place to rest your gaze. The stage is very undefined and unasthetic, and the bar is boring. The purple and green lights everywhere were not relaxing, such that I felt like I was in a haunted house! The cutesy cartoons and tongue-in-cheek "humor" on the menu is super lame. After dealing with sick narcissists in my life (who use innuendo in place of healthy communication because it's part of their manipulation), double-meaning of any kind is just toxic, not clever. And the wannabe-sexy cartoons are Epstein-creepy! Food made with love, decent band, but ambiance, service, and menu lore were awkward and not worth revisiting. read more

We were here last year, and when we said that to Eric, the bartender, he said "I'm surprised you came back" . He was our server then as well - and a good one! Wayne enjoyed the cocktail of the day - which was celebrating either the end or the start of prohibition - we lost history points but the drink was yummy. The Dog - wow - you can't really believe that it is "just" a hot dog - full of stuff and yummy. Onion rings were light, crispy, and the sauce was great. I had a lunch special - a tomato bisque that was yummy, hot and had a great garlicky after-taste - perfect with the half BLT. We know we will be back as later in the spring we will be staying in the area, rather than just driving through. Great vibe at the bar! read more

This is a great place to eat and or drink. We had snacks and beers after hiking coastally earlier. We were hungry and the food was very good. The onion rings and chicken fingers had a perfect fry. They made their own hot sauces, and they were delicious. Service was on point and friendly. We sat at the bar, and the lunch chef actually sat next to us and heard my complaints on the fry job. We also had the pretzel bites first which took the edge off. We almost got a burger, they looked really good too. This is a nice local spot, where most anyone would feel welcome and leave full and happy. read more

So - IESS headed to a retirement party at a brew pub in old town Brunswick GA. Of course the the place didn't open til 4pm and I was there at 3pm. So, down the street was Tipay McSway's. Cute little joint in this artsy district of Brunswick. Let me start off with if I was just having drinks this would be a 5 star review. Eric (Erik) was an outstanding bartender and genuinely nice to everyone that came in. He remembered everyone's name, and was very timely on refills. I decided to get a bite to eat, since I hadn't eaten all day. The menu was diverse and had many southern comfort offerings with a twist. I ordered the grilled cheese and soup. The soup which was advertised as a garlic tomato basil and it was tasty but had a tad too much garlic for my tastebuds (and I like garlic!). The grilled cheese, although tasty as I believe the bread was soaked in butter had a very skimpy slice (Maybe a slice and a half) of American cheese. The bread was full and hearty, I would recommend cheese (2-3 slices), tomato, and bacon on that bread. Overall, a friendly place to stop for a afternoon outing. On a side note, looks like they have live music a couple of nights each week... very nice. read more

Stopped here one Friday evening hanging out downtown. This place gets really busy. They had a band playing and everyone seemed to know each other. We've been by Tipsy's several times but had not been able to stop and enjoy it. We DID TODAY!! Walked in and told to sit wherever made us happy, we chose right by front window on high top table. Waitress came over took drink order and we opted for nachos to start. We asked for only the half order because we were eye balling the lunch! We dove into menu and came up with the Tipsy burger and the smashed dog. Shortly after that our nachos came out. They were made with white queso and plenty of toppings and flavor on chicken. On the main.....the burger was HUGE AS WELL AS Smashed dog.. every bite was a party on our taste buds! Great job especially on smashed dog, on first site you aren't really sure where to start so our advice: DIG ON IN! Great service and food we ended with the brownie and that too was perfect! Always a fun spot for good food and drinks. Disco fries are my favorite. Friendly staff and quick service. It can get busy but they usually turn tables fast. It's not a big place but they can accommodate a big group. Check their facebook page for live music updates. read more

I've been frequenting this establishment for a long time , always had friendly staff and great service. But last nite , the food was way below acceptable. If the waitress sees as much food left on our table as we left there is a reason . The wings were extremely Dry, ( 5 dozen). Fries were extremely Greased , ( left the whole order on plate. ) it would be considerate if the waitress would ask if the food was ok! We spent a lot of $ on unacceptable food. Heck try the food yourself at times to confirm quality! Do hope this helps to improve the preparation of the food! read more

My husband and I liked the restaurant, we went for lunch and sat at the bar. The girl that was bartending was not friendly at all. She gave us the menus then we had to wait till she got through texting on her phone before she realized we were ready to order. It was like we were a bother to her. Eventually one of the waitresses brought out our food, it probably would have been good if it had of been hot. We ordered the sandwich special of the day with onion rings. The waitress that brought the food was very nice and cheerful, I wish we had sat at a table. We will not be back. read more

When their burgers are cooked properly, they are delicious. However, three times in a row my medium-rare burger was well-done, and I mean *well* done, once with a thick crust of charcoal. I tried switching to something else, and got fried goat cheese and chicken wings. The goat cheese was so very salty, I couldn't eat it. The wings were way, way overcooked. There's literally nothing here that I will order again. Too bad, because if they just didn't cook the life out of the food, it would be great. read more

Tonight we stopped in with my father and step mother and it was a pretty neat place. Fun decor and the waiter Zack was very helpful with answering questions and the place didn't seem too busy which was nice! So we got our food right away! My parents split a side salad with ranch which they both enjoyed, yummy croutons I had to try one after my father mentioned that they taste like stuffing! My step mom ordered their home-made falafel burger with home-made potato chips and she said it was very filling and gave me a good head nod that it was good! My father ordered their Tipsy Burger with home-made potato chips and he said it was the best burger he ever had, judging by the looks of it, it was cooked perfectly medium rare! For my entree I ordered the comfort combo which is a texas toast grilled cheese sandwich that comes tomato bisque. The bread reminded me of garlic bread the way they has seasoned it and the tomato bisque was delicious! I would definitely recommend coming by and checking this place out for a nice bite to eat with family and friends! They have some coloring books and pages for the children! Another tip I believe on Wednesdays the waiter mentioned they have Trivia nights, for example the last theme was from Friends and they book out fast! read more

Went on the first Friday of the month and they close the street and have live music. Definitely a good vibe. Parking does suck at least when I went. There was about an hour wait but was worth it. Drinks look good, unfortunately it was a work lunch break. We found the place and menu on Yelp of course. We ordered the dog and a big burger. Fries are hand cut excellent fries. Was a little late getting there to pickup order, but they were waiting on us and had it ready. Server waited until I got there to pour drinks so they wouldn't be watered down. They actually had napkins and utensils in the bags as many places forget. The place has a cool vibe and I'm sure it livens up in the evening. It's in the historic part of downtown and has some outside seating and full bar...it would have to with a name like Tipsy's. Food was large portions and the burger was cooked medium as ordered and was quality beef. It was a big burger too. Fries were excellent hand cut fries and cooked perfectly. The dog my friend got was big and messy and excellent too. Many other interesting items on the menu to try. I think we found a go to place when working in that area. Great place! I had the melty roast beef sandwich and it was very flavorful and delicious. I normally peel away most of the bread, but it was buttery goodness! We had just arrived after a very rough sail from Fort Pierce, getting caught in a major thunderstorm in the middle of the night that tore sails, ripped parts off our boat, and made me question whether a MayDay call would be needed. We checked into the marina the next afternoon and came here for a very early dinner. The service was fantastic, the home made pretzel was buttery and crispy and the inside was melt in your mouth goodness. We both ordered burgers but I got the wedge salad. That is one big burger! The salad was delicious crisp and fresh! We ordered ice cream for dessert, and by the time we got back to our somewhat disabled boat, we fell asleep very happy. I highly recommend Tipsy's!
