We had a great experience at this location as we were returning home from our vacation. Our service from Isaiah J. was absolutely incredible, professional, friendly, and careful to ensure all food allergies were accommodated. Allie, the owner-operator-manager of the establishment also greeted us and gave us a layout of the food options and the sensitivities they could accommodate. My wife had the three taco meal deal (Two Picanha + One Ground Top Sirloin) which included yellow rice and beans, and an extremely tasty lemonade Fresca. All were tasty. I had the Mama Cuba sandwich (Popular) which was grilled-pressed and absolutely amazing taste. The overall environment was cool, relaxing, and welcoming with a nice bar area. Quite an unexpected treat on our road trip. read more

I ordered the nachos, plain and simple. After reading extensive reviews, I rolled the dice and wanted to see if their chips were gluten free (celiac-safe). They were! They serve chips and salsa at the table. I would wholeheartedly recommend the chips and nachos as gluten free. I didn't get sick! The chicken was cooked to perfection. Chips were made fresh and tasted great. Service was impeccable. The place was lively for a Saturday night, but after a short wait we had no problem getting a table. Would recommend if you want a solid taco joint in the Brunswick area. read more

This place was a true treat! First off it doesn't look like much from the outside. It was a former fast food restaurant converted into what it is today. I was staying next door at the hotel and thought I could go for a meal and some drinks before calling it a night. Decent amount of seating for a small restaurant. Both inside and outside seating. It was slow so the I sat at the bar to watch the Monday night game and talk with the bartender and team. To my surprise they offered a small menu and small list of in-house drinks. Little did I know that this was intentionally done. How often do you go to a restaurant and they sell the same thing as the restaurant down the street. Probably same vendor to be honest. Not I Am Nacho Mama! After looking over them menu I found that the prices weren't the greatest but everything sounded fantastic. Now I will say the prices are reasonable for what you get, both in food and quality! They gave me some chips and salsa. Nothing fancy but was very tomato pasted based. Chips looked home made. I ended up getting the half chicken and let me make this clear. This thing was fall off the bone, seasoned through and through with a delicious dipping sauce. I mean I completely devoured this plate savoring every last bite. Presentation was beautiful but I have no idea why that gave me a knife. It was not needed! The sides were good by themselves but I was informed to pour out the second sauce on top to enhance the flavor and boy did it. I paired this with a jalapeño margarita that was just the right heat with a smooth finish. At the end of it all I had the pleasure of talking with the head chef and this guy has true passion for what he put out. Don't let the name fool you. It may scream Mexican restaurant but this is very much a modern take on every day foods with Hispanic food culture and he nailed it. I will be telling all my colleagues and friends that come around this area to stop by if they want something new and something wholesome. read more

We stopped here on our travels up 95 through GA and this did not disappoint!! The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was amazing. I had the Mama Cuba sandwich with delicious, tender shredded pork and cabbage. It was a perfect serving of food. My husband wasn't very hungry, so he got the appetizer that had the sweet plantains with ground sirloin and a mock-pina colada. If this place was closer to home, it would be our favorite place. The outdoor seating provided such a relaxing atmosphere. If you're on 95, you will want to stop in for a visit! read more

This is a hard review to write. I always try to be honest. So here goes- Here is what we liked: * The atmosphere was freaking fabulous. We sat outside and had a good time on the patio while a storm rolled in. Became a bit of a storm and moved to the bar. * we had a bunch of drinks and the bartender took absolute care in the creation of the cocktails. * Sat at the bar with the Mrs Owner and everyone felt like family. *While outside the Mr Owner came out to check on us during the storm and again while we sat at the bar. *The empanadas were delicious. *The chicken on the nachos were flavorful. *Check out the grill on the patio- look like an old truck. What could of been better- *The margaritas- let's be honest a good margarita can make or break a visit and this was just ok. However the other drinks were amazing. *Chips and salsa- they have a weird cut to their chips, like a strip. And the salsa not good. A sweet tomato sauce at best-maybe best with pasta? *The Corn elote was a sad reminder of corn and just not good. *While the chicken on the nachos was flavorful, it was cold. Overall our party of 4 had an amazing time and would totally go back. However the food was just average. read more

Our overall experience was excellent. My wife and I stopped at I Am Nacho Mama after reading the good reviews on Yelp. We were greeted warmly by staff and seated right away. We both ordered Mama Cuba sandwiches, the restaurant's take on a Cuban sandwich. It was spiced perfectly. The chips and salsa were excellent; the chips cooked in tallow. Yum. The service was great, too, and the owner even went table to table to check on us and chat a bit. We'll definitely be back. read more

Reluctantly visited this restaurant only because there were not many options. We left absolutely satisfied and vowing to return. We all ordered a variety of tacos (steak, marinated chicken, and lechón) for lunch which were mouth watering delicious and made with fresh ingredients. I would love to visit for dinner when they fire up their outdoor grills. Service was very prompt and friendly and I liked that she gave us the background of the establishment and recommendations on our lunch options. Stopped at an exit while traveling North on 95 near Brunswick, GA. There were all kinds of national chains but a local place stood out as a must visit "I'm Nacho Mama". While my wife had doubts, we stopped anyway. Inside and out, a fun place with outdoor seating and indoor bar. Service was excellent and the food terrific. The menu was extensive and we got street tacos stuffed with so many goodies the corn shell could hardly hold everything. My wife got the trio of empanadas filled with shrimp, beef and chicken. The rum soaked flan sounded great but I had to get it to go. Overall a terrific experience and I would definitely return and recommend! read more

We stumbled along Nacho Mama while I was driving, I saw the sign and told the wife let's stop and grab some goodies for the kiddos. So happy we did the establishment is family owned everyone is very friendly. The service was top tier and they were packed for a Friday night and the chief was legit and very attentive. The door was delish I had the holy trinity and let me tell you it was delish! I paired it with the empanada red cream sauce and sheeesh I did a lil dance. The wife and daughter had the chicken nachos and they both were in a food coma afterwards. The vibe of the place is lovely walk into the store with a scripture on the mirror daily which is a breath of fresh hair for me. The shrimp empanadas was great, however they didn't have many shrimp inside, but the flaky crust was delish! read more

The interior was charming and had Bible verses all around. The quesadillas had high-quality cheese with a great cheese pull. The pico de gallo, rice, and beans in my bowl were incredibly flavorful and rich--honestly, the best I've ever had. The guacamole and salsa were also excellent, fresh and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and attentive. I really love the use of beef tallow, not seed oils! The family owned restaurant seem to really care about its customers and their health. We returned for supper and I had the taco trio. Shrimp, pork and chicken. It was a flavor explosion!!! I loved the pork...i could taste all the different flavors in the taco. Next time I'm getting 3 of the pork. No flavor overpowered another but perfectly blended. The chicken was the same but by the time I got to the chicken. I was full & had to get a box. The owner is a bbq master and cooks all the meat himself outdoors on the grill. I'm telling you, if you want to taste flavor in your food, this is your stop!!!! Stopped by "I am Nacho Mama" for a quick lunch. Ambiance is of a typical Mexican restaurant. Not too many people inside for lunch at 12pm on a Thursday so we were seated rather quickly. Overall the service was slow and they got a few things we ordered wrong. Our server seemed completely out of it just flustered and discombobulated too expensive for the very small portions. Appetizers were terrible. The salsa taste like pizza sauce. The cheese is very watered down and only good if you put the house hot sauce in it. The final appetizer was called griddled queso and we believed it to be a done up version of the queso and come to find out it was 3 slabs of grilled cheese. Will not be returning to this establishment and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This restaurant deserves a "10!!!!" I was traveling through and looked up this place, boy was I glad. The staff was amazing, polite friendly to everyone and willing to explain the food options. the owner himself came to the table and gave us his recommendations. (If you like Kansas City and Texas you are going to LOVE this place ) My friend had the steak, again cooked to perfection and just the season was crazy good. What a quaint little restaurant! My husband and I recently enjoyed an amazing lunch on the venue's charming outdoor patio. The sun was shining directly on our table! I have never had a better dining experience in my life. @i.am.nacho.mama is the real deal. Amazing food, incredible service, perfect vibe, I went in because they have grass-fed beef tallow fried chips! Which is enough to make me happy. But I have now found my new favorite restaurant. Almost every restaurant I go to, I think, "I could have made better this at home." I know that's arrogant, but it's mostly true. The reason for eating out is more about not putting the effort into cooking and cleaning at home. This meal may have started with that motivation, but it ended with absolute rave reviews from my entire family. And we are still talking about it this morning. We rarely leave reviews, but this one is getting on every platform. And I don't care how lame and cringe that sentence sounds. If you are ever in the Golden Iles area, this is a MUST GO. read more

The best customer service I have ever received anywhere in my 32 years of life. It was cute inside, and there was a nice outdoor seating where they also cooked the food on a grill on a pateo with handing lights. The food was shockingly delicious. I ordered chicken, a basic food in my opinion, but it was seasoned perfectly and tender/juicy all the way through. The main reason I decided to leave a review on this place though is because I felt like family inside this restaurant. The owners, waiters, cooks, and other servers all greeted us, asked us how things were, and at appropriate times checked in with smiles on their faces and personal recommendations. The lady who claims to be "nacho mama" actually feels like she could be your mama. At first the price of the food seems high, but once you see the amount they serve and the quality it's well worth the purchase. Unlike other restaurants, the nachos with salsa is not unlimited so be aware that you will be charged for each basket you ask to be refilled. We ordered queso to dip the nachos in and the queso got hard quickly, but it still tasted great and you could scoop it out with a hard nacho. I will be back and I will be recommending this place to everyone. I hope they continue to receive the business they need to stay open because they deserve it! read more

First off this is a very pricey place. The looks from the outside and inside are very casual, nothing upscale rather the opposite. They have a drive thru window. Dinner for two and one appetizer with tip, NO cocktails, just one sweet tea was $80.00. The food was good not $80 good. For instance 4 pieces of tostones $8.00 the pieces were about 2 inches in diameter that's $2.00 per each. The shrimp, 8 med size shrimp, served with rice and collard greens 29.95. The meal was good but way overpriced. The staff is friendly. read more

There's a delicious, new , funky Latin-American vibed restaurant in town. Walking into the spot you'll feel and be welcomed by the staff. It's homey , colorful and inviting. They offer a lunch menu and a larger dinner menu that starts at 5. They were an established and beloved restaurant up in NY and have brought their cuisine and passion to Georgia. I was welcomed and kindly had the door opened for me. My server brought out some salsa and tallow fried chips (still warm - love that!). I ordered off the lunch menu and tried the Guacamole, Nacho Cheesy Rice Balls (like Arancini) and the Picanha (steak) bowl. The guac was fresh and well made. The rice balls were tasty and had a nice crunch. The Picanha bowl was the star of the show and had come fresh off the grill and was seared happiness. It is served over cilantro lime turmeric rice and beans. It is served "Mama's Way" which is topped with lettuce, pico de gallo, cilantro and cream. The aroma from that bowl was heavenly. I had to try a dessert and went with their flan rather than the churros. The flan was paired with a perfect rum! Last the restroom was very clean and tidy. It was a wonderful first experience and I will be back for more! Thank you Nacho Mama and family! read more

the food is great and service is great. Family owner and very nice. A little pricey. It's definitely worth a visit.

Who is giving this place any stars? The salsa was straight up sweet tomato sauce out of the can. The queso was some basic white cheese that had be the consistency (and looks) of sweetened condensed milk. The server recommenced the burrito. It was overloaded with yellow rice, wilted warm lettuce, and a few pieces of fatty meat. When we asked for hot sauce, we were given a thimble sized plastic cup of some mayonnaise style pink sauce. Needless to say, we made a terrible decision to eat here. read more
