This was our best dinner experience on island. And our favorite of our entire stay. The food and service were both outstanding. The ambiance was just okay, but the meal itself was so impressive, that it outweighed any negatives -- like the view of guests swimming in the pool. Not only was the meal excellent, but the menu was also unlike any of the other restaurants we'd been to here. The menu, although not large, was creative and had a lot of items not seen on island. And each item ordered was also presented beautifully on the plate. So, taste plus visual appearance. You could tell that the kitchen and the chefs cared about our enjoyment. We started by sharing the romaine hearts salad. The lettuce wedge was topped with fried capers, feta cheese, and a creamy garlic dressing. The dish was halved in the kitchen for us. For our entree, I had the roasted striped bass. The perfectly cooked fish was atop a bed of potato and artichoke puree. There was a layer of olive tapenade that added a salty briny flavor. And an artichoke heart with some micro greens topped it all. It was just delicious. My husband had the diver scallops for his entree. Three large scallops -- expertly golden seared on the outside -- were served with fingerling potatoes, black garlic, bacon, and a peanut "chutney". He said they were the best scallops he's ever had (and is now hesitant to order them anywhere else as he is afraid that he'd be disappointed). He couldn't stop raving about his meal. For dessert, we shared an apple "tart". This was thin layers of pastry with apples, seasoned with cardamom, pecans, and caramel. The dessert was good, but not as good as our main entrees were. We'd both highly recommend this restaurant. It seems more appropriate for adult diners than children -- although there were a few families there. And we'd certainly return if ever in the area again.

Striped bass with artichoke potato puree

Food was great! I had striped bass which was perfect!! Hubby had special hangar steak but was overcooked... MR requested, came out MW but was tasty with the accoutrements. Fig and goat cheese flatbread phenomenal! Blue crab deviled eggs good but presentation lacking... filling should have been whipped and piped in with pouch. Black and tan was a tan and black!!! Service was great! Thanks Lazlo!!!

We decided to eat lunch here because it was rated number one on tripadvisor and yelp. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was great. However, the food was not great. I had the wedge salad with chicken. The chicken was hard and dry, and the salad lacked enough dressing. My husband had the chicken blt, and he also said his chicken was hard and dry. My mother in law had the shrimp and grits and said it was very good. If we return, we will have to try things other than chicken.

Golden Isles Benedict, Truffle Fries, Cheese Grits

The Sunday brunch was amazing. I got the Golden Isles Benedict, truffle fries, and cheese grits and they were all so amazing. My server was so sweet and attentive. The atmosphere was gorgeous and the view of the pool was so peaceful. I recommend this restaurant for brunch 100%

Surprisingly delicious! Arrived expecting another overpriced mediocre meal from the another hotel restaurant. The food was great! I was drawn in by a previous review for the bourbon peach pie, but found out they switch the menu often. At the time of my review, it turns out they only serve brunch and dinner until April. I had the shrimp and grits which comes with andouille sausage, simply delicious! I also had the Georgia peach cobbler, which was amazing. The staff was very polite, helpful, and accommodating. The restaurant had a great layout with seating inside and out, as well as a large seating area of couches for sitting with friends for a before or after dinner cocktail. I recommend everyone stop by and try this place.

    Blue crab deviled eggs

Best dinner on the Island last night. Sat outside on the covered porch, server was excellent. Started with the meatball app & the blue crab deviled egg app- both delicious. Dirty martini was perfect w/ blue cheese stuffed olives. Had the Romain salad- amazing, boys had the chowder special/ it was rich and creamy. Entrees were the Red fish & sea bass/ fish cooked perfectly. Dessert was their version of a banana foster- we devoured. Will def be back.

The food was good, but the restaurant was way too noisy. It ruined our experience. The service was thoughtful but extremely slow.

First, I want to recognize our waitress, who was friendly, attentive, and did her best to take care of our table throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. I ordered the blackened shrimp, and several of the shrimp appeared undercooked. Additionally, the veins had not been removed, which was disappointing, especially at a restaurant in such a popular tourist destination. I also ordered an entrée salad. When it arrived, it was the exact same size as my friend's side salad, making it difficult to justify the entrée price. Later, when our waitress checked on us, I asked for additional dressing, but she returned and informed me that the kitchen had already closed at 8:30 p.m. and could not provide any more. Two members of our party ordered smash burgers. The burgers arrived without the lettuce, tomato, and onion listed on the menu and without any condiments. After they asked about the missing toppings, the restaurant brought them out, but the "lettuce" looked more like wilted spinach and was not fresh. While the service was very good, the food quality, preparation, and attention to detail left a lot to be desired. Based on this visit, we would return for the service, but not for the food.

Because the restaurant is downtown there is plenty of free street parking spaces right outside the door. There is a bar, with bar seating, The other seating consisted of normal table with hard back chairs, and couches that ran down the side of the wall with tables, and hard back chairs on the other side. Overall, the service was adequate, not good, and certainly not great, but good enough not to stop us from enjoying our night out. I started with what was supposed to be a cup of Tomato Bisque but received and paid for a bowl. Somewhat my fault for not realizing that my serving and what I paid for was large and more expensive than the cup I ordered. With that said, I thought the flavor of the bisque served with, Garlic Buttered Crostini, and grated Smoked Gouda was outstanding. The temperature could have been a bit warmer, but again the flavor was sport on. The wife and I split a very large bowl of PEI Mussels. The Mussels were served in a white wine broth with Shallots, Garlic, Roasted Tomatoes, and Bacon. Honestly, I could and did finish the broth off as a soup. There were quite a few Mussels that did not open, but the bowl was so large, we wouldn't have eaten them anyway. The wife's main dish was the Pan Seared Sea Scallops, with peach and bacon risotto, and fresh Spinach. The dish was finished with an amazing Bourbon Peach Brown Butter Reduction. The scallops were large, the Risotto was great, but the brown butter reduction was the absolute star of the dish. For my main dish I had the Curried Lamb Lollipops, served over Cilantro Basmati Rice, and roasted Tomatoes with an excellent curry sauce. The chops were of good size and cooked to perfection. And please don't even get me started on the fired Garlic Butter Paratha which is some of the best bread I have ever had. My mistake was ordering a side of the Peach and Bacon Risotto similar to what was served with the scallop dish. Without the Bourbon Peach Brown Butter Reduction however, the risotto ate a little dry and had little to no peach flavor. I finished my meal with a bourbon , Mascarpone, bread pudding, which was amazing. The dish was loaded with bourbon which both my wife and I agreed was not completely cooked off. Great dish to finish an outstanding meal. Even with a few minor missteps, the overall flavor of the dishes were so good, I still must give it an overall 5.

My experience is that many places just don't deliver the quality expected and I'm often disappointed. I'll have to say, Woodside delivered! This place is clearly elevated, elegant, and the food is prepared with culinary skill. From the moment we stepped inside, I could tell the atmosphere was classy and quaint. We were greeted by our server Buddy and the bartender. My instincts were that this was going to be good. I was still cautious. Buddy seated us appropriately and brought us menus and filtered water. We both started with coffee and to my surprise Buddy brought a large urn of French press coffee, whole cream and sugar cubes, I absolutely love French Press coffee but rarely see it at a restaurant. I make it at home and it definitely adds to the enjoyment of a good cup of coffee. Definitely a step above here. We looked at the brunch menu and found it hard to decide as there were so many interesting selections that I wanted to try. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and I ordered the Croque Madame. As I deliberated, Buddy suggested that I'd stick with my first impression and that I would not be disappointed. I thought it was very classy the way he presented that and it makes sense that sometimes one should go with their first instinct, rather than wonder if they made the right choice later. Again, there were just so many things I wanted to try. When our meals came out, we were both pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste. This was not ordinary breakfast, but I had a good price point for what you get. It was really about the same cost as most breakfast places on the island, but such higher quality and sophistication. I can honestly say this was the best brunch experience I've had in many years and we've frequent a lot of places. The Croque was so tasty, complex and abundant and even the french fries were excellent. My wife's Benedict was also very special as it was rich, fresh, and absolutely clear it was prepared by a chef. The Latkas were a tasty complement. Overall, this was an outstanding experience and I just didn't want to leave. I can't wait to return for dinner to experience it. I believe the menu changes daily and I would definitely recommend Woodside as an elevated dining experience. I am happy to rate this a true 5.0 as it is the best food I've had in the Brunswick/SSI area over the past 6 months. Buddy was great and clearly understands service etiquette.
