Great food, great service and great drinks! Honestly, the damn creamed spinach was so good I'd take a bath in it. In my opinion, this is what some of the other hotel restaurants on Jekyll try to do but fall short.

From the minute we walked in we were greeted by the most friendly hostess. We made reservations on the Tavern side. We were given a cozy table with a nice view of the restaurant. Our server was Jordan. She was very friendly and very attentive!! She is great at her job. We ordered the Greek salad, hanger steak, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The salad was chilled, crisp and flavorful....just the way a salad should be served. Our steak was tender and so flavorful. The potatoes and vegetables were so delicious we googled them all down. Had the restaurant served bread pudding, we would have ordered desert. Also, throughout our meal other staff checked on us. They asked if we were enjoying our meal, would you like the lights dimmed a above us. The whole staff helps each other out, so your never waiting for food or for food to be cleared. It was a great experience!!! I highly recommend Jekyll and Tide die for great meal!!

Came in for the Shrimp Scampi, but unfortunately they ran out of shrimp. Ordered the hanger steak with green beans and smashed potatoes instead. The meal with delicious and our server was nice. Nice decor as well. Possibly the best restaurant on the island.

Not at all like the Bistro. Food was served cold, one meal was incorrect. Shrimp and Grits were lumpy and full of tomato soup.

Nice market with a good selection, but very pricey. Per many other reviews, my husband and I both had fried shrimp. It was excellent. He got the large platter and could barely eat it all. The regular platter was very plentiful. He got sweet potato fries as his side - excellent choice. I went wrong with my side - Mac n cheese. It was homemade and OK. To me it was like a very creamy and very cheesy Kraft with added pimentos. But to be honest , I make a killer southern mac n cheese and am pretty picky. So it is probably totally fine for most folks. We did have to wait quite a while for the food. We got there just 15 minutes before closing. There were a couple folks that had just ordered and were waiting. Then when I meandered through the whole store and came back twice to find it was still in process, I found out that someone had called in an huge order for 10-12 people just 15 minutes before closing. Amazing that people do things like that. Anyway, the staff was nice, patient, accommodating and doing the best they could. We weren't in a hurry. I just felt bad for them trying to get closed. Will definitely rely be back when we visit again.

I got on Yelp and saw some great reviews for a lot of restaurants in the area and the love shack did stand out to me. I walked around and looked at the cute shops and walked into a little market. Well, as it turns out that was the location of love shack barbecue! There was a very kind lady and a son or other family member in the back and she was so helpful in helping me select what to eat. I really just wanted some Brunswick stew and cornbread, but she advised if I got the shrimp platter that Brunswick stew came on the side and then I could have cornbread as well. I absolutely loved the Brunswick stew, it had all sorts of good vegetable vegetables in it, but was also very thick. The cornbread was so sweet and moist. The fried shrimp were solid, I couldn't finish them all just because they were very fried, but I enjoyed them. As I was waiting for my food to be prepared, (it only took about five minutes) I enjoyed walking around the little general store. It was everything from up stay up scale gift items to bakery to a grocery store where you could buy alcohol to a beach shop, it was a really great place. I took my meal to go and sat outside. The lady had advised not waiting too long or the shrimp would get soggy.

First, I want to recognize our waitress, who was friendly, attentive, and did her best to take care of our table throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. I ordered the blackened shrimp, and several of the shrimp appeared undercooked. Additionally, the veins had not been removed, which was disappointing, especially at a restaurant in such a popular tourist destination. I also ordered an entrée salad. When it arrived, it was the exact same size as my friend's side salad, making it difficult to justify the entrée price. Later, when our waitress checked on us, I asked for additional dressing, but she returned and informed me that the kitchen had already closed at 8:30 p.m. and could not provide any more. Two members of our party ordered smash burgers. The burgers arrived without the lettuce, tomato, and onion listed on the menu and without any condiments. After they asked about the missing toppings, the restaurant brought them out, but the "lettuce" looked more like wilted spinach and was not fresh. While the service was very good, the food quality, preparation, and attention to detail left a lot to be desired. Based on this visit, we would return for the service, but not for the food.

We sat on their patio space overlooking the dunes and palm trees and it's a nice setting. We had a good and polite waitress and I had a mai tai from the bar- strong! I got the fried shrimp with grits and Mac and cheese- everything was good but I would say across the board, an increase in salt would hurt nothing. A little bit pricey as most venues on Jekyll Island are- but we enjoyed our meal and especially the very nice setting.

The restaurant was spotless, beautifully decorated, and the background music created a relaxed vibe. I also loved that kids can draw on the paper tablecloths, and there are TVs at the bar if you're catching a game. It's a fantastic place for lunch, but it would also make a great date night spot. We ordered the blue crabs, shrimp, crawfish, and snow crab, and every single item was cooked to perfection.
