Been here on SSI for about 2 1/2 years and have seen this restaurant from the outside when I have been in The Retreat Plaza shopping and decided today to give it a try. Went for lunch with my wife and found Megan our server to be very nice & helpful with menu items. My wife had the Grouper Finger Basket w/fries. The fish was cooked nicely and the shoe string fries were tasty. Comes with both tartar & cocktail sauces. I had the Gyro w/Brussel sprouts including the Thai sauce & honey sauce for dipping the sprouts on Megan's recommendation . She also recommended the pasta salad which I will try next time. Megan was spot on with dipping the sprouts in both sauces! The Gyro I had was with lamb, tomato, lettuce & tzatziki sauce. The meat was hot & veggies w/sauce were cold and was fantastic! From the ambience standpoint there weren't a lot of folks at lunch time other than those playing cards or mahjong which was about 10 people. But, there is a large bar that is fully stocked, ample high top tables for eating or drinking etc. & quite a few pool tables & video game room. My only knock is no draft beer & they serve Pepsi products. Other than those 2 items, I will come back & try dinner time as I believe the vibe will have more energy. The karaoke booth was so fun! My wife and I were just talking about the food and how good it was. We don't have any pictures but between the 7 of us we all ordered a variety of their appetizers and everyone of them was delish! Great service from that staff too! There is a bunch of pool tables, a dance floor, a bar area. This place is probrably hopping on some night but when we went it was pretty slow. Hidden gem I'd say. read more

Food was decent, drinks were good, Mike behind the bar was cool, waitress wasn't very friendly though may have felt bad. Biggest issue was not getting a receipt and trying for 2 weeks to call and email to get it and no one being available for the 32 calls and no one responding to the email, and NOW I have to pay for the food out of my check instead of turning in a receipt which should have been a simple fix. Bubba's Fish Shack had better food, drinks and ambiance AND sent me the receipt while on the phone. Won't be back in any of my travels through there. read more

I have to hand it to Ziggys. It's a fun bar with good drinks- their food is actually quite good! We got the wings and the loaded fries... and I would absolutely get them again. The wings were perfectly crispy, had a lot of sauce! The drinks were strong for under $5! read more

We ordered delivery from Ziggy's so I can't speak to the ambiance or location but I can tell you the food was amazing. For delivery my expectations weren't high, but it was amazing. Highly recommend. read more

Wow! 5 or more. Chef's Salad was good, we also ordered Buffalo wings and Son enjoyed his yummy smashburger. Thanks Ryan for great customer service. It was a very quiet Monday night, I can't wait to stop by on a Saturday night for music and dancing. Overall great experience. read more

We decided to walk in.. we had no idea what Ziggy's was! It is huge, a bar restaurant and dance floor!! Multipurpose place!! Crystal the bar tender who took care of us was awesome ! She gave us great recommendations and every bite was scrumptious! Looks on outside are deceiving because you don't really know what it is unless you are local. Crystal thank you for your southern hospitality and kindness. You were very attentive and did it all with a smile! This will be a great place to unwind!! We will be back! read more

Good little bar with plenty of dance floor space and a dozen pool tables. Bartender was friendly and the music was nice and loud. Fun place to cool off, just not very busy if that's what you're looking for. read more

The food is amazing. I have tried the gobbler, the club and the chicken fingers. And the grilled cheese with bacon and tomato which I hate to admit was better than my mom made. I would recommend to all. You won't be disappointed. read more

They overcharge your card! be careful going here, it is also dirty. Also drinks are overpriced.

I came to Ziggys's for Tuesday night trivia. It was so fun! It was also taco Tuesday, so I ordered a few Carne Asada tacos with some chips and salsa. I also ordered my favorite drink, a lemon drop martini. First of all, I am usually displeased with lemon drop martini's in most places. However, this was one of the best lemon drops I ever had! Then, the tacos came out. I wasn't expecting a lot because they were so inexpensive, but they were amazing! The chips are clearly made in the house, and they were hot and delicious! Upon reflection, I'm not sure if I should leave a thank you note or a written letter of apology. Ziggy's was a great experience. If you are on St. Simon's island, go here for a good time. Think Johnny's Hideaway goes coastal. I can see everyone having a good time and it definitely being a judgement-free-zone. Ahh, the trouble you can get into outside of a WinnDixe Parking lot. Welcome to the uniqueness of Georgia and the rest of the South. We went on Memorial Day weekend and it was happening. Everyone was there, young and old. This place has potential with a nice dance space but the dj is absolutely the worst. Take a hint, you suck.

All I can say is ... interesting. It's really my first time in Georgia, so I'm not familiar with the culture. This place was closed for a friend's welcome dinner for her wedding. The food was actually provided by southern soul bbq, so I should really comment about the food on their profile. So after 9pm, they opened the doors to the public and this place immediately starting popping. There were waves of people coming in and tons of cougars. I'm not joking ... they're not the typical young crowd you'd see at a lounge or bar. The chicks would be on the dance floor and the guys would sit at the tables drinking and occasionally dance. I think coming from a city, it was very weird to me. The DJ was hilarious, he wore a hawaiian shirt and just played music off iTunes. I was in town for a couple weeks and my friend and I decided to visit this bar. This place is f*cking awesome lol. When I walked in, I thought they were going to look at my friend and I different because we weren't from the area, but I was wrong. Everyone was nice. Music was good and the drinks were cheap too. There were all types of people there from 21 year olds to cougars! It was really interesting lol. However, there was a fight between 2 surfer dudes and their staff responded pretty quick and was able to de-escalate everything pretty fast. All in all, if your in the area, you should go and see for yourself. read more

We had a great time despite the fact that there was NO ONE there. The bar tender was super nice and she let us pick the music. The decor is really cool, palm trees, front porches. After reading the previous reviews we were looking forward to watching the jungle cats in action but sadly they were nowhere to be seen. read more

We went here for NYE last year. First time going and will definitely be back. Lots of good dance music. Prices were good on drinks. Clean bathrooms. Pool tables. Close to motel. At midnight, they dropped glitter and confetti on everyone on the dance floor. So much fun! I'm thinking Ziggy's will be our new NYE place to be. We unfortunately live an hour away so its not easy to come here often but it definitely is a fun place to be. read more

-I have been twice over the last five years and enjoyed each time. It is a shame that several previous reviews cast a demeaning view on the clientele of over 50's women - categorizing all as cougars! Maybe they just wanna have fun and believe me honey! we KNOW we aren't in our 20's anymore THANK GOD!...
