Celebrated a birthday dinner here with my wife on a Friday night. The place was packed! I ordered the half roasted chicken which came with potatoes and green beans. It was delicious! I also tried a bite of my wife's shrimp fettuccine; it was just okay for me, though she really enjoyed it. For dessert, we shared the Limoncello Blueberry Cheesecake which was a great finish to the meal. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive throughout. The only drawback was the wait as it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. Overall, a nice experience despite the delay.

Great place for date night! Drinks are delicious and food is awesome! I had the filet! And we had the Brussel sprouts for an appetizer. They are the best Brussels in town! Waiter was attentive and gave great recommendations.

Food is always excellent and consistent. Chef Tom has curated a wonderful menu and space.

The food is always 10/10 at town hall! Came here to celebrate my sister's birthday and had to wait awhile before someone came to take order, but the waitress was super knowledgeable and so helpful. The space is nice but a bit loud, felt like we had to talk really loud just to hear each other. The drinks are amazing (we got red wine, lemon drop martini and ghost flowers) and food was delicious (got the steak, mushroom, Brussels sprouts and octopus). The truffle flavor for the mushroom was so rich and goes so well with everything else. Overall a good experience and will definitely go back again.

Another home run at Town Hall in San Marco! We stopped in again and everything was perfect from start to finish. I had the Sapphire Spritz -- dangerously delicious -- and my husband ordered a Negroni. We shared the cured & aged board with prosciutto and brie, which was incredible. For our mains, I ordered the grilled cheese (so, so good!) and my husband had the half roasted chicken. Every dish was amazing, the service was awesome, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Town Hall never disappoints. We'll definitely be back!

Well we got pushed this way! It turns out to be a great find. We called ahead, and the only seating was outside, because it was mother's day. It was a little humid outside and a lot of people passing by, cars rolling right on us, that's what I didn't like. Customers service was great; we got seated right away. The waitress came over shortly. We got our drink orders. We got the crispy Brussel sprouts. If you think you don't like Brussel sprouts, you need to go check these out. The best I've ever had, it had balsamic and blue cheese on it, It also was supposed to have crispy bacon, but we opted to omit that! The crab cakes were good, and if you're not real hungry, this is a good option, but with the Brussel sprouts I was good. We thought the omelet with a salad was odd! We should have gotten potatoes. They make most of the items from scratch. I would go back for a bowl of Brussel sprouts (that I won't be sharing) and try the mac n cheese.

Kristin who served us and multi-tasked around the room...was fantastic! I don't know how she did it! I didn't realize happy hour prices are only at bar..now we know. An app Kristin recommended was the humus and it was great! Humus made with carrots with lots of seasoning and nuts, etc sprinkled on top then the perfectly toasted pieces of bread-I'd order that in a heart beat! Drinks were full and flavorful. Hubby order smaller steak and really loved it. I order the octopus app and I'm not sure on that one; it was soft (not like calamari) and had some arugula seasoned with it...just not so sure on it.

We went to Town Hall for a birthday dinner. We started with the Brussels sprouts and loaded fries for the kids. They were both delicious. Definitely the best Brussels sprouts I've ever had. For the meal we had scallops, steak, lamb, salmon, and the pasta. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. We had an early reservation (5pm). Our server was amazing and extremely attentive. Awesome experience and highly recommend!

We had a fantastic date night at Town Hall in Jacksonville, and it's easily one of the more fun spots we've been to in the San Marco area. The atmosphere is great--classy but not stuffy--and there are different ways to experience the space. The front section has a lively bar, wine bar, and high-top seating, while the back dining room offers a more formal setting for a relaxed meal. The food? Outstanding. The scallops were creatively prepared, and the seared salmon was absolutely perfect--flaky, flavorful, and served with sautéed spinach that complemented it really well. Service was also a highlight. Marty took great care of us--efficient, friendly, and with just the right level of casual professionalism that made the experience even better. Pricing felt reasonable for the quality, at around $50 per person, which made it a solid value for a special night out. Reservations were easy to make through OpenTable, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. Definitely recommend checking out the photos before you go--the space is beautiful!

We dined in for brunch on a reservation and were seated promptly. We had a corner booth that was a bit snug with nearby tables close by. The restaurant was a little on the warm side but it is very hot outside. We each got a different entree so a good spread. The biscuits and gravy were good. Generously portioned though the sauce was on the thin side. The classic breakfast and fried chicken sandwich were excellent with crispy bacon and fried chicken. The pimento grits were creamy and delicious. The mushroom fontina omelette, French toast and breakfast bowl were all good but nothing stand out about them. The server was kind and attentive. Overall we had a good experience and would return.

Crispy Brussels Sprouts - large portion, tasty with blue cheese but really rich
    Heather N.

Our server was knowledgeable and attentive but I couldn't help but feel we were consistently being up-sold. The inside is beautiful, menu is upscale, and prices reflect that. The menu does appear to change and this round just wasn't my jam. The only thing I loved all around was the burrata. The crispy Brussels were really tasty but also rich. The octopus was good but had a briny fishy taste I'm not used to and had far too many sun dried tomatoes. The salmon was good but the couscous was on a bed of romesco that seemed tomatoey and it overpowered the flavors. The scallops also good but again, the flavor combo didn't hit for me.

Service was good. They really like to refill your water. Ambiance is like eating in a wealthy families kitchen. Lighting is cool I enjoyed the style. The food was good but felt like each dish was missing something ingredient wise. Overall good night heavy price.

We tried Town Hall for Sunday Brunch this past weekend. Amazing experience!! Home runs all around. Skip church, either disregard your original plans, or invite your family, but you must try this place. It may be THE best brunch in the area. Our waitress was fantastic. Polite, great service, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu and all that was on it. It was our first time and she had excellent recommendations. The interior has great wood and brick accents and combines them both to create a casual but classy atmosphere. We ordered three appetizers and split them between us. The Bananas Foster Bread pudding came out first. It was as our waitress called it "adult sweet" and it was perfect. Warm, soft moist, hearty, just the perfect amount of sweetness to it. We next tried the loaded truffle fries and crispy Brussels sprouts. Genius use of balsamic with both. The fries were the right amount of crispy, great cheesy taste. Excellent. The Brussels were cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside but retaining the delicious taste. Great use of cheese on this one as well. So glad we tried Town Hall, I highly suggest you do the same and we'll be back to try their other meals as well.

She made sure to check up on us, answered all of our questions, and refilled our drinks often. It was super clean there too! We were started off with some fresh, warm bread and a balsamic/olive oil dipping sauce. The bread was perfectly crispy and went so well with the dipping sauce. We were served cold bread before at restaurant so I'm glad we had warm bread! We decided on the following appetizer and entrees: Fried meat ravioli - 8/10: it came out piping hot and it was so delicious! Fried to a nice, golden brown and covered in panko crumbs, it didn't feel heavy at all. It came with a fresh marinara sauce and had parmesan cheese sprinkled on top of the fried ravioli. Each bite was cheesy, crispy, tasty, meaty, and we devoured it quickly! Carbonara Alla Roma - 8.5/10: I thought the portion would be small since I seen photos online but it was actually a great portion. I had enough to take home and eat as leftovers! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the alfredo sauce was balanced and decadent. I could taste the pecorino romano, and cracked black pepper. The pancetta was smoky and added a nice umami flavor to the pasta. I didn't rate it higher because it was slightly missing a little bit of of that BAM factor! but it was pretty delicious! The Sofi - chicken - 9/10: Oh my gosh! My best friend got this and I wished I would have too! It was sooooooooooooooooooo good! It had prosciutto di parma, mushrooms, asparagus, shallots, cooked in wine and tossed in a rose cream sauce. The pasta was also cooked perfectly and that sauce was to die for! Each bite was like tasting the finest flavors and spices of Italy. I could not believe how tasty this was! If you come here, you HAVE to try this dish! Tiramisu - 9.5/10: One of the best tiramisus we've had in Jacksonville. It was the perfect amount of espresso and cream. They had dollops of chocolate sauce on the side and helped elevated the flavor of the tiramisu. It also wasn't super sweet which we appreciate. We don't really like overly sweet desserts and this one hits the mark on everything. Overall, service, food, and atmosphere was great! We would definitely come back to try other menu items! Thank you for such a great first experience, Sofi's!

Like any good kid back then wanting to hear a particular song, I listened to my FM radio nonstop, waiting patiently to hear this crazy song called "Pac-Man Fever!" Sadly I don't ever recall actually hearing it on my favorite station. Hearing about new things is much easier now. Social media and the internet overwhelm me with what the algorithms think I want to see and learn about. And most of the time those crazy programs and their internet overlords are spot on! Take, for instance, a rather new restaurant in San Marco focusing on seafood. Shellfish and caviar to be specific. A few months ago all of my feeds were filled with information about a new place in town - Brine. Obviously, my wife and I, loving all things related with food, knew that we needed to try it. Well, today was that day. First, know that the parking lot is down a dead end street that looks spooky. Keep going. I didn't and ended up parking in the larger lot where La Napolera is located. The restaurant is tiny. Our server told us that the space was used to sell smoothies. Or perhaps it was a phone booth. Regardless it's intimate. And the food is fantastic! Colette our server was fantastic. Bubbly, helpful and definitely gave off the vibe that she was happy to be there, helping us enjoy our meal. She was great and I can't say enough good things about her. We opted to try the tasting menu. It's an option when you book online. We also chose to sit at the counter. An island of 4 seats that look at the other diners sitting at the tables inside. It's odd and Colette told us that the owners were planning on building an expanded space in the near future. The tasting menu is a seven course meal. If desired, you can choose to add a wine pairing. We got one wine pairing that we split - it was more than enough and the Brine folks were kind enough to put the wine into two glasses. As for the courses we had for our meal? Course 1 Champagne PEI oysters Each oyster included a different topping. There was butter. And chorizo. And caviar. Each was delicious and very different. A perfect way to start the meal. The champagne was also a great. Course 2 Riesling Yellow tail (hamachi) crudo with pineapple. The pineapple was prepared three ways. And while the wine was very dry and minerally (is that a word?) it worked PERFECTLY with the sweetness of the pineapple. To me this pairing worked the best. Course 3 Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand Tuna tartar with aioli on a fried panko crusted seaweed cracker. The tuna flavor was delicate and worked well on top of the seaweed cracker. Again, the wine worked very well with the flavors of the fish. Course 4 Chanin blanc Salad with iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, vinaigrette and butter and mashed potato and potato crisps. Lettuce and mashed potatoes? I don't know how. I don't know why. But it works. Really, really well. They're like mad scientists at Brine and they may be building a monster out of body parts. But darn it the potato/salad combo was fantastic! Course 5 Oaked Chardonnay Lobster cannelloni This was probably my favorite dish. The lobster filling was awesome and I literally wanted to fill a cup with the sauce and drink it through a straw. If you're not going to try the tasting menu I would highly recommend this for an entree. Course 6 Waygu shortrib and scallops and parsnips Ochetti langhe nebbiolo The scallops are sliced thin, which I liked a lot. The shortrib was good. I like parsnip, but I felt that its flavor overshadowed the flavors of the beef and the scallop. It's a tasty dish, but wasn't my favorite. Course 7 Cheesecake bread pudding with bourbon ice cream Chocolate pearls chocolate marscapone orange chocolate cake Solera 1847 Creme dulce Sherry Colette brought us two different desserts to try instead of each of us having the same. Both were fantastic. I think I liked the chocolate cake one more while my wife really enjoyed the cheesecake. The sherry was fine but didn't really add anything to the desserts. Course 8 (extra) Sugar cookie with vanilla ice cream and caviar. This was an extra treat that they brought. A cookie ice cream sandwich with caviar on it. Again, why does it work? I don't get it! But it was super tasty. We were both really full by this point but ate it all! Each course isn't a huge, but by the end we were stuffed. And splitting the wine was a good way let us drive home! The tasting menu is a great way to try Brine and the many of the flavor combinations they're putting together. It's not an inexpensive meal. But we knew that going in. The cost may turn some people off, but this was a fantastic meal with some wonderful staff. I don't play video games too much anymore. And I don't remember the Pac Man song. But I love food, and I know that if you do as well you'll love Brine!

And their happy hour is definitely the best time go. We normally go for the different Chef's tasting adventures which are coursed out meals with or without wine pairings... Just because it's fun to be surprised and try new things sometimes. They try to accommodate all allergies and you can always order things "on the side" if you're not sure about it which I love because I can be picky... sometimes ;) If I order off the menu, I normally order either their seasonal preparation of the scallops or the aged steak because the toppings and salts that come with their steak are amazing! And if you only order one thing on their menu... make sure it's the souffle! Their souffle is always cooked perfectly to order no matter what flavor they are serving and the creme anglaise that they always serve it with is so silky and completes it just perfectly. Overall, I would definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try and highly suggest it for your more intimate special occasions.

I called the restaurant a few weeks prior to our set date night, my husband's birthday, and spoke to Cricket on the phone about their chefs tasting menu. She was fabulous with explaining what we could expect and booked our reservation for us. When we arrived, from the moment we pulled up to valet, every single aspect of our dining experience was thought about and intentional. We grabbed a round of drinks at the bar (espresso martini is to die for) then headed to the dining room where Caroline was our server. She couldn't not have been more educated & welcoming during our time. I simply was over the moon with the food, service, cleanliness and ambiance of Matthew's. Absolutely will be dining here again!!

I stopped by during one of their vinyl events and instantly fell in love with the atmosphere. First things first... the Pink Pony Club cocktail WOW. It was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and dangerously easy to sip. Not too strong, not too sweet... just right. The kind of drink that makes you immediately consider ordering a second (or third ). At some point my stomach reminded me that it is requiring fuel, so I ordered one of their gourmet glizzys and went with the Chicago Glizzy. Let me tell you... absolutely amazing. Bold, delicious, and somehow both indulgent and elevated at the same time. The overall vibe is what truly makes this place special. The patio, glowing with soft lights, feels like the perfect place to unwind under the stars , while the indoor space gives off a cozy library-meets-speakeasy feel that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The crowd was warm and welcoming, the energy was positive, and the staff were friendly with excellent service from start to finish. Bonus highlight: I even met a new friend while I was there always a sign you've found a great spot . I'm already looking forward to my next visit so I can spend even more time soaking it all in. Highly recommend if you want good drinks, great food, and unforgettable vibes .

Really unique space in spring field area. Lots of couches around or you can sit at the bar. Also…read morehave a cute patio in the back! The menu is via QR code that takes you to their website and you can find wines, cocktails (with wine) and some beers. I tried the wine flight (Riesling, Cab Sav and an employees choice) which was delicious and a great way to try multiple options to find what you like. Also tried the frozen strawberry frozen marg which I unfortunately did not enjoy. It didn't have a lot of strawberry flavor, it tastes more like cherry medicine. Do want to mention that when it gets busy, it may be hard to find parking and the area is pretty sketchy (I didn't feel safe parking far and having to walk over. One time a homeless guy was yelling at me when I was walking on the sidewalk), so just be mindful and careful if you do park far and having to walk.
