Stopped by for a coffee & quick breakfast after a girls who walk Baltimore event! Sandwiches were good & the spiced latte was okay! Service could have been a bit friendlier ... but it was a decent cafe! I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Recently visited Dooby's for breakfast on a trip to Baltimore after it was recommended as a great brunch spot! On a weekday, I was surprised to find the place practically empty at 10 am. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to you when it's ready. The service at the counter was not great. I didn't feel very welcome, but the food came out quickly at least. The vibes inside were super cute, and the breakfast menu is an eclectic collection of Korean fusion dishes. I got the cheese and potato burrito with a side of kimchi potato salad. The burrito was delicious and generously packed with ingredients. I also loved the kimchi potato salad, even though it was kind of a weird breakfast side choice. I would definitely love to come back and try more of their breakfast offerings!

At one point during the pandemic, I was ordering their pies and cookies way too much. I haven't been a Dooby's in a really long time. Because it's owned by Korean restauranteur, Phil Han, the menu has a lot of Korean fusion items. My friend and I went for brunch recently, and I was actually really disappointed that I didn't get a brunch item. I decided to get a bahnmi, and it just was not very good. The Matcha was also overly milky. I didn't even taste the Matcha at all, and the pork belly on the bahnmi was not rendered correctly. The staff is super kind and helpful but the food just wasn't very good. My favorite was probably the kimchi potato salad because who doesn't love a potato salad? It is a large area and I was shocked to see so many people working here on a Saturday so I do love that this place exist exists. I'm very disappointed because I used to love Dooby's and will definitely be coming back to give it another try. I also feel like the vibes have shifted. I feel like it used to feel more unique but now it just kind of feels like a general coffee shop with nothing unique.

Upon my recent visit to Baltimore, Dooby's was walking distance from my hotel so I found myself here for both breakfast and lunch during my stay. For my first visit, I opted for one of their bowls. I love that you can customize it with your base, proteins and sauces. I opted for a blend of greens and brown rice with the spicy garlic chicken. It was packed with veggies and flavor and I loved it. The next day I popped in for coffee and a homestyle breakfast. Also solid. I enjoyed visiting Dooby's and I think its a great spot to grab a bite and pop open your laptop (on the counter seats).

This was a nice stop on the way home from Artscape. Parking can be difficult, but if you look far enough you should be able to find something. The cafe is cute and counter service only, but they bring your food to you when it's ready. Although there was a long line at the counter, it went very quickly and the food was brought out very quickly. I ordered a banh mi with spicy garlic chicken with a side of hash and a s'mores cookie. While the chicken was very juicy and all the makings of a good banh mi were there, the ratios were a little off. The meat flavor was overwhelming (get your money's worth I guess?) and I wish there were more pickled vegetables. All in all it was pretty good and certainly filling. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and were really yummy. The s'mores cookie was thin and chewy. I would come back and try the banh mi again, perhaps with tofu next time.

A great option for working, coffee, and breakfast in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood. I was staying nearby at Hotel Ulysses and posted up at Dooby's for two hours to get some work done. The staff here is super friendly and the order at the counter take a number vibe really suited my needs. My almond milk chai was serviceable and I felt the pepper jam on the bacon egg and cheese was a little heavy handed, but overall I enjoyed everything. Fast wifi and working is only allowed in the front part of the cafe, which I think is great. Would recommend!

Dooby's was close to our hotel so we stopped in for breakfast. It's a nice open space with a good amount of seating. I saw several people there working or studying so seems a good spot for that. You can order at the counter. The staff were all nice. We chose to share a steak, egg, and cheese sandwich. You can choose how you'd like your egg cooked so we of course opted for a nice runny egg! The sandwich was large and very tasty. I noticed they also serve ramen, buildable rice bowls, and sandwiches in addition to their breakfast options. They also had some yummy looking sweets in a case. Overall, we both liked the food and ambience here and I will return!

I think this was the best pumpkin spice latte I've had in a LONG time. So smooth and delicious. The korean noodle bowl was amazing, and the pork belly was made to perfection! Everything came at a timely manner and the staff was super friendly. The place is super cozy and cute as well.

I love the coffee here but from time to time I'll get the matcha latte which is delicious! The servers are always very friendly and the orders come out quickly. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and you'll always find folks chatting, working, or just generally hanging around inside I haven't yet tried the full good menu but it's on my list to try.

Great spot for a quick bite and warm beverage on a cold Sunday morning in Baltimore. Looks like they have a variety of other really good menu items available as well. Have only tried breakfast. Service is super quick and the space has a great vibe. The peach and blueberry crumb cake is a 10/10.

Came in 2-3 weeks ago and got the best bacon egg and cheese sandwich with pepper jelly. I got it how it came but thought my bacon could had been crispier. I try not to order bacon extra crispy bc sometimes at other places it comes out burnt. So I came back today and decided to to try out the extra crispy but my egg was undercooked with yolk coming out *yuck*. I was so sad bc I only could eat the other half with bacon and some cheese but none of the good pepper jelly. I tried to enjoy my carrot cream cheese muffin which I thought was going to taste like carrot cake but tasted like a a carrot muffin not sweet and not good. On my drive from Doobys to my job I did enjoy my cold brew even though u asked for it to be extra sweet it was not in fact I watched the guy make it and I don't believe he even looked at the instructions on extra sweet but the coffee itself was good and for 4 dollars I'm not too upset. Going forward I think I won't order online but will come in and order to make sure my food is prepared to my liking. Oh well try again another saturday. Edit: I called Doobys and told them I was displease with my sandwich and they refunded me even tho it takes 3-5 days

The food is 10/10! I've been going here for years. The person who took our order was nice. The only thing that could be fixed is the cleanliness of the tables in between customers.

I've recently started working in the area and they are supper close thus I decided to try them out…read more I was very excited when I saw it was Korean owned however their K-food section is only two items; Bulgogi Dupbap & the Bulgogi Sub. The rest of the menu is American stuff. I've as of now tried both of these and very content with the taste and filling of these two, the price is reasonable per the portion and yummyness($12.49) plus tax about $13.25. The only thing I would change a bit is making sure that the juice from the bulgogi doesn't soak the bread too much cuz then it's mushy. I like a crunchy texture to my subs, but the may be just my preference. Both the son and the mom are super nice, if you become a regular it's very nice to have people know what you want right away. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. I hope that they can incorporate more korean food to their menu, at least 2 more that have a different protein so we have a bit more variety. Though I understand why the options for kfood are limited given the area's population. Things to keep in mind: - When you order let them know if you want it to go or to eat there. Nobody can read minds, but they will do their best to ask you prior to packaging to confirm. - It can get busy so sometimes transaction may take longer because people are multitasking. - - - Don't rip out the receipt, you might be taking the wrong copy. Wait for the cashier to hand it to you or simply ask. -If you have questions about a product, ask them and don't assume. Yes. There is a big menu and pamphlets available and they provide brief item description but if that's not clear, just ask. They also have prepackaged salads, fruit and a few sweet treats, along with MissVickies chips, and bottle drinks. It's a cafe so the basics. Overall, really nice experience. Tots recommended :3

The service was on point, everyone was very nice, and the noise level was fine. Here is something I literally have never experienced anywhere else: My sister has a couple of food allergies and she gave the waitress a piece of paper where she listed out what she can and cannot have. A few minutes later, a lovely young woman (I think she said she was a manager) came out and discussed the list with my sister in detail, just to make sure the restaurant got it exactly right. My sister almost cried! As far as timing goes: They don't take reservations, but they have an efficient system -- when you arrive, they take down your name and phone number, tell you how long the wait will be, and then text you when it's your turn. They told us 40 minutes but it turned out to be only 20, so it's good we hadn't wandered too far away. Next time we're in Baltimore, we'll definitely be back.

Spousal Unit and I took the voracious pack o' GrandKiddies for breakfast after a Wicked-good night on the town in Bawlmer, hon. So we had to cart them all to Blue Moon! Blue Moon was featured on Guy Fieri's DDD show, making it (and it's second location, Blue Moon Too) insanely popular. As a result, it's always busy, and because of it's size, there is no space to wait inside until a table is ready. For a person with knee issues, that meant painfully climbing up and down the steps more than a few times (and did I mention is was windy and cold?). Once inside, it's a quirky place, with interesting art work everywhere - but the main draw is the food. Ah, the food... Blue Moon is well known for it's Sweet Baby Jesus (Hash browns topped with jumbo lump crab, seasoned with Old Bay, fresh diced tomatoes, melted cheddar cheese, 2 eggs and Hollandaise) and Captain Crunch French Toast (crushed Captain Crunch cereal encrusted French toast topped with fresh fruit and cream, served with syrup on the side). They also make a killer Biscuits and Sausage Gravy sized to feed an army, and a wide variety of pancakes, omelettes, and sandwiches. Our vultures overordered (did I say they were hungry?) but left not a scrap of food on their plates, a small wonder given that they are not adventurous eaters. Everything was beautifully cooked, promptly served, and delicious. Our server was a wisecracking joy - friendly, knowledgeable, and really efficient. She provided needed distractions as our GKs gnawed the table waiting for food to arrive. Way cool! Spousal Unit and I have eaten at Blue Moon Too in the past. It's comforting to experience the same joy at each location. Really, really recommend stopping in at eather (see what I did there?) location when you're in town.
