Surprisingly well done tacos, nice staff, little slow…read more Came here on a whim, looking for a new breakfast place to try. This one's a bit further than I normally trek, but decided to try them anyways. Got here early and the place was quiet. The plaza is relatively new and this was the only non-chain I could find there. Wandering in, had the front end lady greet me. Debated on the French toast, but decided to buck the trend and try their tacos. Also ordered a latte, which took a few minutes to make. Coffee is lavazaa which is okay coffee. Coffee wasn't too strong but it also lacked any flavor beyond milk. The tacos did take about 15 minutes to make, and I appreciate the attention but it did takes while to come out. The tacos were actually pretty good! The delay was because they did a heavy burned cheese layer on the tortilla. The avocado creama, creamy eggs, spicy homemade chorizo, and pickled onion lead to a very well balanced and well seasoned bite. Plus they were huge in size but every bite offered a similar experience. If I had to be a stickler, there was a lot of potatoes on each taco. Filler is fine, but I did notice the amount. As a taco, it's a very solid contender to one of the better tacos I've had in ct. the quality is there, the quantity is plentiful, and the price is right. If I only got the tacos, and I was warned that it would be a few minutes to make sure they came out right, then it would be a five-star taco. Because the coffee is okay and there was a bit of a wait, I did dock a star because of it. It's a great place for a local breakfast and lunch spot. So long as you go in knowing that it might take a little bit to get your order then the wait is worth it. The vibe is chill, the food is good to great, and the staff are very nice.

I go all the time, and every visit hits the same way: comforting, consistent, and full of that small‑town charm you can't fake. The breakfast tacos are my personal obsession packed, flavorful, and somehow both hearty and fresh at the same time. And the chicken cutlet? Perfectly crispy, perfectly seasoned, and the kind of thing you think about later in the day like a little food daydream. The staff keeps things moving with kindness and ease, and the whole place has that "everyone knows your name" vibe without trying too hard. It's the kind of spot where you settle in, sip your coffee, and feel like you're part of the town heartbeat. If you want a place that serves comfort, community, and seriously good food, Mojo's is it.

Upon entering, we were greeted, seated, and given coffee almost immediately (they have very nice cups with their logo them). Breakfast covers all the basics, and as you might expect from their name, they have a fairly large selection of pancakes and french toasts. The pancakes are quite large, and the flavored ones are often (but not always) based on the toppings. We were surprised not to see a breakfast combo on the menu, so we asked our waitress. She indicated that there was indeed a combo, their "Hungry Man/Woman" plate, which featured 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon one sausage patty, home fries and a choice of 1 pancake (Hungry Man) or piece of French Toast (Hungry Woman). Our Hungry Man orders came out very quickly, but even so our coffee cups were refilled twice before that! This was good, if somewhat basic, fare, though I'm sure the specialty pancakes, omelets, benedicts and french toasts have some interesting flavors. Besides refills, we were cheerfully checked on frequently. Locals know the value here, as there were numerous obvious regulars having breakfast and coffee at the counter.

Has been a while since I've been here, and wanted to make sure they were still good. The server I got was a little new, so she didn't have a good cadence to ordering or assisting. but with a little coaching from myself and her senior I was able to get proper seating and get my order placed. The order wasn't translated correctly to the kitchen though, and I ended up getting items that were cooked correctly but literally placed on the plate with wanton abandon. Feeling coy, I decided to take it in my own hands and properly plate my own breakfast. I cut the bread on a diagonal, layer the pieces, drizzle some syrup, and take some pics. Same with the pancake, smear some peanut butter and crumble the bacon (they didn't have banana, so I couldn't do a full elvis pancake) The bread is still really good! The cinnamon swirl bread was soaked well and had a great cinnamon flavor. the cook of the french toast was just right, and it was custardy and flavorful. The pancake was a little lackluster, the peanut butter was cheap and unroasted, so it didn't have a strong peanut butter flavor. the bacon was crispy and salty, which helped a bit. but the peanut butter needed a good roast before being ground up. The order was also a little pricy for what you get, coming up to about 25 bucks for a pancake and two french toast. The add-ons made this breakfast a little too expensive for the quality. Presentation aside, the food was good overall. There was some issues in ordering and with the quality that I got, but the bread's still good and the food's still pretty tasty. So a little bit of a downgrade, but still good overall. Worth a shot if you're in the area

So I was like, I guess I need to go. I tried to go. And GPS took me to Paul's Ranch House in Hartford. When I learned that wasn't the right one, I tried again. And GPS brought me to Ranch House in East Hartford. This is just to tell you, that if you want the OG that has been open since 1950, you need to go to the one in Windsor, which is conveniently located next to 91. The building and surrounding area, have likely seen better days. There is more trash outside than there should be. The inside is fine, but nobody was eating there. The hot dog I had was good. They didn't have many specialty dogs. I ordered the KMOR, which was just Ketchup, Mustatd, Onion and Relish. The dog was a grilled Bogner. Not cut. The bun was grilled. A good dog. It was clear that they have some loyal fans. 3.75 Stars overall, but the dog was a solid 4.

The service was spot on, the food came out super fast. The atmosphere is cozy and comforting. Definitely will be back. I highly suggest trying this nostalgic restaurant !!
