Just tried Mojo's for the first time. Despite being kind of hidden and not very visible from the exterior, the interior is bright and welcoming with a wall of windows. You can order at the bar from the very friendly servers who deliver your order to your table. We arrived around 11 when the breakfast menu changes to breakfast sandwiches or lunch. We had a tasty bacon-egg bun generous with bacon. Also ordered the breakfast tacos which held three delicious tacos with a variety of toppings on a base of cheese melted to the taco base. Loved it! It was enough for two people. The smoothie menu looked tempting for next time. The restaurant was very clean!!! Checked out the bathroom and it was on point. Mojo's is not a location you would just drive by. It is hidden deep behind the Amazon warehouse so thanks to YELP we knew it even existed. It looked like the regulars were often in uniform from nearby businesses who must be happy to have Mojo's so convenient to them. We will return! read more

Surprisingly well done tacos, nice staff, little slow Came here on a whim, looking for a new breakfast place to try. This one's a bit further than I normally trek, but decided to try them anyways. Got here early and the place was quiet. The plaza is relatively new and this was the only non-chain I could find there. Wandering in, had the front end lady greet me. Debated on the French toast, but decided to buck the trend and try their tacos. Also ordered a latte, which took a few minutes to make. Coffee is lavazaa which is okay coffee. Coffee wasn't too strong but it also lacked any flavor beyond milk. The tacos did take about 15 minutes to make, and I appreciate the attention but it did takes while to come out. The tacos were actually pretty good! The delay was because they did a heavy burned cheese layer on the tortilla. The avocado creama, creamy eggs, spicy homemade chorizo, and pickled onion lead to a very well balanced and well seasoned bite. Plus they were huge in size but every bite offered a similar experience. If I had to be a stickler, there was a lot of potatoes on each taco. Filler is fine, but I did notice the amount. As a taco, it's a very solid contender to one of the better tacos I've had in ct. the quality is there, the quantity is plentiful, and the price is right. If I only got the tacos, and I was warned that it would be a few minutes to make sure they came out right, then it would be a five-star taco. Because the coffee is okay and there was a bit of a wait, I did dock a star because of it. It's a great place for a local breakfast and lunch spot. So long as you go in knowing that it might take a little bit to get your order then the wait is worth it. The vibe is chill, the food is good to great, and the staff are very nice. read more

Recently stopped in w friend, Demanding Dan, for breakfast. Ample parking (although on the day we went, Windsor's version of Field of Dreams almost caused the HUGE parking lot behind the building to overflow). Anyway, bright, clean, airy place. We ordered at the counter. DD, who laughs in the face of cholesterol tests, opted for biscuits w sausage gravy. Since the CBH was housemade, I had it w two eggs over and rye toast. My CBH was delicious, w numerous chunks throughout. The owner / cook, Steve, does an excellent job preparing the food to order. My rye, incidentally, looked like it came through a panini press, and really hit the spot. Strawberry jam came in a little bowl, which was a nice touch. DD, who legend has it, once criticized Mother Teresa for being too ornate, raved about his food. All-in-all, we were both well satisfied. Great food, good service, fair prices. And kinda cool that every table has a different "themed" salt and pepper shaker set. If Steve is the brains behind the operation, Kaitlyn is the beauty. They work well together. DD rates 5 stars. "Got my mojo working, but it just won't work on you I wanna love you so bad till I don't know what to do" (Muddy Waters) The Day Hill Business Park has seen a ton of activity and is becoming quite a nice destination, with the amazing Dudleytown Brewery, the Day Hill Dome recreation complex, and plans for hotels and more. It's also become a nice place to stop and eat with a growing number of food court-type options. The great little Vietnamese restaurant Pho Van is there, the ever-dependable Blimpie is there, and now rising from the ashes of the failed Dunkin Donuts and Day Hill Coffee and Market is the three-month old and very impressive MOJO'S. It's gorgeous inside, so hat's off to their design team to completely transform what used to be a sad and forlorn space into a bright cheery and very inviting open dining room with eye catching colorful artwork on the walls, country style furniture and a big front window accented with lots of plants. Even my coffee cup and breakfast plate were gorgeous. I wasn't super hungry, so just ordered three scrambled eggs and a coffee for around $9. Now, had I been hungrier, I'd have had a tough time deciding on what to eat. Their breakfast menu includes a breakfast burrito, omelets, a BEC sandwich, Biscuits and Gravy, Corned Beef Hash, Avocado Toast, Breakfast Tacos, Overnight Oats, baked goods and the very intriguingly named El Tigre. Now, between you and me I definitely would have said "El Tigre, por favor" because (let's be real) how could I refuse this beauty of "scrambled eggs, pork carnitas, bacon, onions, poblanos, pepper jack cheese, avocado crema, cheese, green salsa, on a tortilla". Sounds like food for a few days at $12! By the way, gotta give a shout out to their music programmer. I loved the Motown heavy playlist - the Temps, James Brown, Smoky Robinson, and the Supremes. MOJO'S is open Monday through Saturday and serves breakfast until 11:00 when they transition to a lunch menu with burgers, cutlet sandwiches, tacos, steak and cheese sandwiches, falafels, salads, and soups. Lunches run from $10-$14. The service was fantastic, and I really enjoyed my visit. I worked in Windsor for 14 years, and lunch options were pretty limited, so it's great to see this new business on busy Day Hill Road. PRO TIP #1 Who's MOJO named for? Easy - an owner's dog! I recently heard about this spot opening and decided to check it out for breakfast. The space is open, bright and inviting. You feel extremely comfortable once you're inside and that's mainly because of the friendly and inviting staff. My partner and I perused the menu and I decided on breakfast tacos (with egg whites) and a latte. my partner opted for corn beef hash with eggs and a coffee. Both of us were thoroughly happy with our meals. I was especially pleased with my breakfast tacos. They were exceptional! The spot joins a growing trend of "Fast Casual" eatery that collects payment upfront like a fast food but it also suggests tips during payment like traditional restaurant. This is the style of restaurant that makes me uncomfortable because I felt guilty selecting no tip option when paying for food upfront, & that feeling kind of messes with my stomach. I'd rather eat at a traditional restaurant, sit down, order at my table & pay tips after service. I did end up leaving some cash tips because the cashier/waitresses lady was really nice. I wonder how much money the fast casual type of restaurants save, perhaps by hiring less people? otherwise why not just take order at the table & let the waitresses get more tips naturally, while avoid making customers feeling uncomfortable? Have gone back in twice now since my original review. I was lucky enough to talk to the owner as well! He's a really cool guy that's very easy to talk to. I tried the Strawberry Banana smoothie and it was delicious and well priced! Today they had cupcakes and i just couldn't resist trying one. I wish i had a photo because not only was it super tasty, but super cute too! I definitely recommend checking them out whether it's for a sit down occasion or just a quick stop for some baked goods! It was such a cute place with an assortment of paintings and photographs. The breakfast tacos were both our entrees and they were outstanding!! I've never had such fresh and delicious breakfast tacos when dining out. Mojo's went all out with theirs and a kind man who worked there brought us over two house made hot sauces which were phenomenal! Not to mention the avocado crema on top so creamy and inviting. We received a recommendation from friends who love the newly opened Mojo's restaurant in Windsor and after seeing their Instagram (@mojos_windsor) and Facebook pages showing all of their offerings, we knew we wanted to check this place out for ourselves! It is tucked away just off Day Hill Rd (use the address 1001 Day Hill Rd and you'll find it!) with plenty of free parking in the lot out front. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of table and counter seating options available as well as take out too! We ordered The El Tigre and Corned Beef Hash which comes topped with your choice of eggs and a side of your choice of toast. We also ordered a blueberry muffin for our little one which was big enough for all of us to share! They also offer a variety of beverages and coffees and everything is made fresh to order! The El Tigre was full of flavor and very filling and the corned beef hash was definitely one of the best we've ever had. In addition to the amazing food offerings, the staff were so friendly, welcoming and truly wonderful.
