I've been coming here for years, and it's one of those places that never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is lively, and you always know you're going to leave happy. I'm originally from Honduras, and one of our staple dishes... arguably THE staple dish... is the baleada. A fresh flour tortilla filled with refried beans, cheese, and crema, with the option to add extras like eggs, avocado, or different meats. I knew this had to be where Kyler experienced his very first baleada. To say it was a success would be an understatement. Kyler isn't the most adventurous eater, so getting his stamp of approval is a pretty big deal. He's officially a fan for life! We were there with my mom, and all three of us ordered some variation of a baleada along with pupusas to share. I also had to introduce Kyler to our version of horchata, which is different from the Mexican horchata he was used to. As an added bonus, we happened to visit during the World Cup, and the energy in the restaurant made the experience even more fun. Between the familiar flavors, sharing a piece of my culture with someone I love, and the consistently great food, this meal ended up being one of the highlights of our trip back to Maryland. If you've never had a baleada before, let La Casita be your introduction. You won't regret it.

Sadly, I visited this location on Friday, October 30th. We ordered the Fiesta meal (comes with 6 sides) and 3 chicken Empanadas. Once we drove off, I realized one of the sides (french fries) was missing. So, I went back inside and they refused to give me fresh fries; after many conversations they final gave them to me. Meanwhile, the manager (female) was just looking at me and offered no apology for omitting one of my sides (the fries) or the inconvenience. When I got home, I realized they gave me 3 cheese empanadas instead of chicken. I was so disappointed with the level of service, the overall order, and I will not be returning. I will take my future business some place else; an establishment that appreciates my business. The food wasn't good, $70.81 completely wasted with poor cutomer service. Terrible fried outside, & cold spots inside empanada! Yup that's all I ordered and i waited for a flash fried poorly seasoned hot pocket. I do not recommend this place for 3 reasons, high price for poor service, food, and customer service. However they got a lot of staff at 11:30am hanging at the cashier (3) re-filling already over stuffed napkin holder (1) at the grill(2). But when I asked about my empanada no one went to check in it until someone else saw me return standing around before showing me it in a plain white bag on the corner counter. read more
