Didn't have a good experience at this spot the customer service is lacking and my chicken had Entirely too many feathers on it. This place has got to do better at this location.

I love Don Pollo! I seem to live really close to one every time I move Their Peruvian chicken is just sooo tasty and you can smell just how good it tastes from the moment you step through the door. The staff greeted me when I walked in and took my order right away. I didn't have to wait long for my order. I ordered their Half chicken with two sides. My two sides were Chaufa rice and plantains! While the sides were really good, The star of the show, without a doubt, is their Peruvian chicken. Marinated to perfection with a blend of Peruvian spices and slow-roasted to achieve that golden, crispy skin while keeping the meat juicy and flavorful. Portion sizes are generous! I ate this meal for dinner and then lunch the next day! This location also has parking right out front and you can sit inside to eat if you want. They have small tables that are minimally decorated. Overall, will be back here again!

I was in the area with a friend and wanted to grab something to eat. They brought me here and mentioned it was Peruvian, so that piqued my interest. The first thing I did was look on Yelp for their rating - I was so relieved to see that it was 4 stars out of 5 (made me feel more comfortable in ordering). As we entered the business, the first thing you see (right in front of you) is a case with lots of drinks (juices, sodas and water). To the right of that is the counter where the cashier will take your order and behind them is the kitchen. On this visit I ordered a meal - 1/4 Dark Chicken with 2 sides. They also offer bigger portions of the chicken, Soup & Salad and Specialty Dishes. For my 2 sides I got Plantains and Rice. The Rice is normally served with Beans, but I opted out from having the beans. The chicken was cooked perfectly as I remember enjoying the pieces as I ate; The rice was was cooked great (shelly) and the plantains were plentiful and made right. Other sides I would love to try is their Yuca, Potato Salad or Mashed Potatoes, French Fries, Mac & Cheese and Corn Pico (they have other sides in addition to what I listed). The price I paid total, for 1/4 chicken, 2 sides and a drink, was very affordable and they gave a good enough portion of the items as well. I would love to come back and try more stuff, maybe even one of their desserts (their menu shows 4 with Tres Leches being one of them). There are several tables and chairs available to sit on and eat at, but you can do carry-out too. They do have 2 restrooms in the back (one for female, the other for male - only for one person each). The biz is located in the same plaza as Lotte Plaza Grocery, but at the other end, near the CVS.

Don Pollo surpassed my expectations! It was very busy when we arrived, but there is a lot of parking in a lot in front. The 1/4 chicken dark meat was very flavorful, and the rice & beans and steamed veggies were good sides. I will definitely go back here for Peruvian chicken compared to other places in the area!

A great lunch spot with lots of options. The dining area is a bit small for larger groups but the food was flavorful and the portions were huge.

The chicken is done nicely with a great spice blend. Enjoy the roasted vegetables side and the black beans. Ample seating and pretty fast service. I come here now a couple times each month. My only complaint is that they don't have WiFi

The lomo saltado was well executed. The beef was tender, the fries were crispy, and the classic mix of soy sauce, onions, and tomatoes gave it that authentic Peruvian flavor. The portion size was generous and satisfying. The chupe de langostinos stood out. It was rich, creamy, and packed with shrimp, which is important because many places skimp on seafood in this dish. It had a deep, comforting flavor and felt very traditional. The place itself is small and casual but welcoming, and the service was friendly. Overall, it's a good spot in Rockville if you're looking for authentic Peruvian flavors. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes.

Nice set-up but they are still awaiting their liquor license (as of Jan. 2026), so they only serve non-alcoholic juices, sodas and water (for now) and hot teas on the weekends. The servers are very sweet and really know the food and menu. However, I did observe they are either a bit inexperienced, or the place is still getting things in order-- as they carry the food out without trays. I observed one server carrying a soup very close to the rim with bare hands. Now, for the food. An excellent array of varied dishes from different regions of Peruvian cuisine. My husband and I have tried our fair share of Peruvian food both in Peru and across various U.S. states. It's our go-to-food. The food here had its highs and lows. The Good & The Bad: Grilled octopus was delicious with a generous portion of everything served on sizzling skillet. Chorros à la chalaca (fresh mussels) served with pico. Both had a lovely presentation and savory flavors. Lomo saltado (sautéed beef tenderloin pieces) with fettuccine à la Huancaina served over a bed of fettuccine in a spicy cheese sauce (IYKYK). The Huancaina sauce was on point as was the sauce for the lomo--The (lomo) beef however was not. Beef was overcooked and tough to chew. And being a Peruvian spot the Classic Ceviche was a work of art but the flavor and the spice-level was lacking. Finally, I asked for a side of sauce and was charged for 2 oz. of sauce. They also tacked on a service charge fee for a table of two. Overall, the ambiance was nice and friendly but the food coming out of the kitchen did not warrant a $130 bill. Honestly, the prices are comparable for this kind of food. But I would expect better product and less hidden fees. I hope this small business will keep improving I'd love to give it another chance once they work out the kinks-- but judge for yourself!

Very nice ambience, decorated in European style. Service was top-notch, very nice waiter and hostess. They made sure to hold our table for us. They gave us a complimentary ceviche wonton which was delicious. I thought the pan-fried cod entree was delicious, especially the sauce. The fried part was a bit heavy though so I wish there was a side of vegetables rather than the crispy potato. The yuca and calamari with the aji amarillo was an excellent appetizer - I'd recommend. Also be sure to try the purple corn drink (chicha morado?) - it didn't taste like corn at all and was delicious and unique! Lime and apple taste to it.

Service was top notch, very attentive and friendly. The server encouraged us to try a highly popular Peruvian juice drink called chicha morada. It was quite unique & refreshing. I would consider this place fine dining for the quality, decor & service. The only complain was the high price tag, with tips and taxes, you are looking at $50 per person without desserts & alcoholic drinks. It's a bit pricey for lunch but if money is no object for you, I would definitely recommend this place.

It helped to get us through the shut-down lock-downs of the pandemic! I had the veggie burrito and flan. Both were absolutely delicious! I really enjoy the food but of course, it's the art that drew me in the most in the first place -- even when first seeing it online years ago, I found the look of the logo to be very visually appealing. As well, this is much of what I so liked during my first dine-in experience. The only thing I didn't like was that it was rather loud. Well, it also happened to be very cold but it was very cold out that night and I was stuck wearing warm-weather clothes from the warmth earlier in the day, so ... it was a bit uncomfortable but also, I was having to consider someone else's comfort who found it to be much louder & colder ('freezing,' in fact!), than I did. The metal chairs are rather hard. There are booths with soft cushions, too -- so you have your choice. The coolest thing is if you're a fire-lover, sometimes they cook with what appears to be a flash-frying method and the flames are really big and bright -- so cool to see! If you eat with your eyes, there are many visual treats to be had here! If you just eat with your mouth, there are plenty of tasty treats! It's an all-around, all-over taste and other-senses sensation! (Filling, too -- I believe you will not leave here hungry!) Overall, I highly recommend it!
