Half chicken with fries and rice

In the cu-cu-cut! However, once you find this little hidden gem it is SO worth it! I was a little thrown off by the location but due to the amazing reviews I wanted to give it a try. Upon walking it, it seemed pretty busy with a bunch of people standing around waiting for their food. The woman who took my order was nice but nothing over the top. I decided to order the half chicken with fries and rice, 2 cheese pupusas and the flan. I knew this would be entirely too much to eat but I wanted to try a little of everything. The food was AMAZING!! So delicious, so fresh and seasoned really well. My favorite was the chicken or the flan and my least favorite was the pupusa. I literally only get the pupusa because all the reviews raved about it. It was good however it tasted very floury which makes sense since I believe she said it was flour and cheese. The flan was to die for! I never thought flan could be bad until I ordered it from this one restaurant and it was not edible. BUT THIS FLAN! Yass so good. The chicken was so hot and so juicy! I love their yellow sauce as well. It wasn't as thick in consistency as other pollo restaurants but it had its own special kick. Even the rice and fries were better than I expected! Well seasoned and delicious. I will MOST DEFINITELY be back!

I was driving by Pollo a la Vista, and noticed a lot of contractor trucks in the parking lot. That's always a good sign, so I stopped. They have a menu board with photos but no prices. I ordered a quarter chicken, two sides and a beverage, and my total came to $8.10. The chicken was perfectly cooked: crispy skin and very moist inside. The beans were fantastic. (That's saying something since my family loves beans.) The steak cut fries were--well--steak cut fries: nothing special. Everything was beautifully presented, and the service was fast and courteous. The restaurant was very clean. I visited the restroom, and that was clean, too. I accidentally flipped the entire cup of mayonnaise-based dipping sauce into my crotch. The server didn't laugh, and she quickly brought me a huge stack of napkins.

    Mixed pupusas!

The best Carne Asada, I have had in years. The last time I had Carne Asada this good, was from my exes mother, who was from El Salvador!

The setting tells you it won't be elegant, but the Carne Asada was really good. Nice to find out here.

The decor is super cute and even the coasters had the logo which i thought was a cute touch. I definitely recommend trying the mixta pupusa and the carne asada, both were delicious and full of flavor. This place is always a good choice!

I needed to have a fast way to order and then simply go for pick up - NOT stand around waiting for the pupusas to cook. The online system worked pretty well but the menu is not that well organized. The restaurant is way bigger than I expected. It was crowded even at 2 in the afternoon so that was a good indication. But I have to admit that the floors, counters and tables were pretty dirty. That surprised me. My order was delivered to me quickly by a very nice and friendly cashier and I went back to my office. The pupusas were fresh and still steaming hot from the oven. I went with the safe chicken & cheese pupusas. The flavor was delicious! There was a little more grease than I expected but I hear that is just part of the pupusa expeience! I would definitely go back and try some of the other flavors. Do I recommend La Casita to others? Yes I do!!!

Okay first things first, I'll say the food is AMAZING here!! Came with my boyfriend looking for…read moresome late night food and this was the only thing that wasn't fast food open late. It was JUMPIN' this night! It was a Saturday - they had a DJ, waitresses dressed in matching outfits, and it was packed in there. Disco lights went crazy. Somehow we were able to get a table and sat down to order food. We thought we could get good margaritas here but the only flavor they offered was lime unfortunately. Our food took a really long time to come out but when it did, omg it was worth the wait. It was hot and you could tell everything was fresh and quality. Side note: knowing Spanish will help a lot when coming here. It's a mainly Spanish speaking establishment. Luckily, I'm Latina so I could communicate with the waitress once I noticed her English wasn't strong. All in all, this is a good spot for good Mexican food and late night food. I just give it 4 stars for the lack of cocktails...they didn't have a lot of what showed on the menu (pina coladas, etc.) and for the long wait for food when most people were just drinking at the bar.

Last month my son and I were in Midlothian for a soccer tournament. Between games his cell phone…read morescreen broke and we found a little repair shop in Midlothian. While waiting to get it fixed we Found Antojitos, a little Mexican cantina in an older strip mall. It was early aftternoon, and there were several groups of men and families eating and drinking. I sensed that they had been there for awhIle, and intended to stay longer, as if this www how they usual spent their Saturday afternoons. Scanning the menu for something interesting my eyes caught the word Mondongo. Reading the menu details ( in Spanish only) I conFirmed that this was a rich tripe stew. I think my son had a steak and egg burrito. Our meals took a while to arrive. Maybe 20 mInutes. The Mondongo was served in a large bowl. The rich orange broth was brimming with large chunks of glistening honeycomb tripe. I Waac also thrilled to encounter chunks of cartilaginous knuckle bones, and a medley or recognizable and non recognizable fruits and vegetables. First, the broth. It was rich with Umami suggesting hours of boiling down pigs feet and knuckle bones. It had a tomato background, but also tasted of pumpkin, and even roasted pumpkinseeds. There was a hint of masa harina reminiscent of tamales. I couldn't identify the other flavors, maybe star anise or allspice. There were big chunks of yuccaa, and plantain slices skin and all. There was some green, maybe chayote. But the Honeycomb Tripe. The three times washed washed cow's stomach was soft and soothing. For the FIRST TIME EVER, I enjoyed a bowl of stomach without any odor or flavor of offal. I keep trying without success to replicate that recipe. Fortunately we have another soccer tournament in two weeks. I'll be back. Jim L
