    Lomo Saltado

Ordered 2 lomo saltados, 2 inca kolas ... came up to $56 . They added peas to a traditional plate that has no peas ... flavor was good but the cut of meat they use wasn't the correct one as a lomo saltado is known for it's tender meat the one they use had nerves and you can see the color of the meat doesn't look like the traditional one . Overall flavor wasn't bad but it wasn't to what I've had at other Peruvian restaurants ... I would like to try their other plates but wouldn't recommend the one I've had for the price I paid

This is a tiny establishment that would generally not be ok my radar, but I drive by so often I figured why not. It's got quite a few tables, a lot of llama pictures, and a very cozy environment. It was bigger than I anticipated, but they had so much more options than chicken that most Peruvian places have. Our server was super nice and patient, even though she was the only one and there were a few tables to handle. I ordered papas de la huanciana, fried fish (I forgot what it was called), lomo sotaldo, and a tres leches. I *love* papa de la huanciana, but this is the only place that I've seen it on the menu so I was super excited. It tasted just like how I remembered it, when a friend made it for me years ago. The fried fish dish was so good! There are a few bones in it, but manageable. I didn't eat the lomo saltado, but it looked delicious. The tres leches is a must buy. I think this is one of the better ones I've had from all the places I've tried. Best part is, it was just the right amount of moisture in the cake, extra leche at the bottom, and every bite was perfect.

Came here after church with a group of friends. Really solid Lomo Saltado and selection of authentic Peruvian soups, desserts, and beverages. The owners, as the name suggest, tienen mucho orgullo en su cultura peruana y se nota. Living in Gaithersburg, we have no less than 15 different Peruvian restaurants within a 15 mile radius and it is nice to see when an owner really tries to connect their patrons with their culture through giving them an experience that is similar that you would have if you were there. When you go to "Mi Peru", you feel like you are transported to Peru.

My sister took me here to get me cultured to some Peruvian food and omg I was taken away by how delicious everything was. The people working here were welcoming and kind as well! We got the aji de gallina which is a rice dish with shredded chicken smothered in a creamy yummy sauce. The chicken was juicy and not dry at all! I tend to stay away from chicken dishes as they can either be a hit or miss and most the time it is a miss for me, but not here at Mi Peru!! It was definitely a hit that left a good impression on me. The pupusas were also delicious as we got the pork and cheese filling one. I like to add the cabbage on top to add a little bit of flavor to it, and of course they do have some house special sauces to add as an option! I will be back to try other items on the menu.

This restaurant is the best Peruvian food I have ever had in my life. They have consistently provided delicious offerings with friendly service. It is a woman owned establishment and a family restaurant. It has a cozy vibe with an abundance of outdoor seating. It has a relaxing vibe with beautiful live potted plants and decorations that pay tribute to the wonderful country of Peru.

We tried this restaurant for the first time few days ago. We went back for carry-out the next day. The restaurant itself is a little out dated. Service was good. We loved the pupusas but it's not good for leftovers. The ribs were flavorful but sauce a little on the sweet side. The flan and carrot cake were delicious.

I'm not an expert, but I feel like many other places around are better for peruvian food. We got the ceviche mixto, lomo saltado, aji de gallina, fried plantains and peruvian chicken. Nothing blew me away, but they were all good enough to order again if I were to come back. Well, other than the plantains... I'm not too sure if she understood what I wanted though (language barriers always killing me!) I wanted the fried/soft plantains. They boast about how some famous chef came up with the recipe for the roasted chicken, but it didn't live up to the hype. As for the lomo, it was decent. Fries were crispy, meat was good, but flavor was just so/so. Aji and ceviche were so/so Waitress was really nice. Food came out quick. Price for all that was about $80 (w/ tip). The chicken was $18 (about 1/3 more than other restaurants). Not sure how those other dishes compare. On a plus note, they had the arsenal game on replay! Go Gunners!

    Arroz Chaufa - so good!
    Siomara P.

I ordered the Arroz Chaufa and it was delicious! Service was ok. I am unfortunately unable to give this place five stars because of the confusing message on the menu - it says tip is included on parties greater than 6, but for whatever reason, it was already included on our party of 2. Our total came out to be quite different than expected, and had we not asked them, we would have not realized the tip (almost $7) was already included on the initial "total" I would recommend this place because the food is good, but I would suggest you to keep your eyes open for any unexpected charges.

Food is delicious and service was fantastic I have zero complaints what a great restaurant Mi Peru

The best Lomo Saltado and Aji de Gallina I've had. And great spicy and mild sauce.

Service was top notch, very attentive and friendly. The server encouraged us to try a highly popular Peruvian juice drink called chicha morada. It was quite unique & refreshing. I would consider this place fine dining for the quality, decor & service. The only complain was the high price tag, with tips and taxes, you are looking at $50 per person without desserts & alcoholic drinks. It's a bit pricey for lunch but if money is no object for you, I would definitely recommend this place.

Bonus points for the strawberries marinating in the cocktail because yes, I absolutely used my fork to scoop them out of the glass. No shame. The ceviche sampler was fresh, bright, and flavorful.
