I finally got to check out their brick and mortar location! It is a cute, dimly lit cafe that has games, beer, wine, coffee, tea, and very cozy seats. I didn't count the tables, but maybe you can seat about 20, and there's a table in the middle that I saw a bunch of folks standing around. Connect Four and some other games were on there. It has been a long time since I last had them, and I was excited for my friend to try them. We each got an arepa, and we split tequenos and chicken empanadas... Yes, we were hungry lol. The chicken salad arepa I was as good as I remembered, and I got a glass of white wine that complimented it perfectly. It was my first time having their tequenos, and they were nice and cheesy. I'd take those over mozzarella sticks for real. There was only one woman working, and she was efficient in handling orders. I would come back just to hang out... Tried Arepateca for lunch and I'm already planning my next visit! I had the Porky Pine arepa and it was incredible, smoky pork with a little sweetness from the pineapple habanero sauce, and the pickled onions tied everything together perfectly. My only tiny note is I wish the cheese was melted just a bit more, but overall it was the perfect portion and absolutely delicious. Do NOT leave without trying the tres leches, it's amazing. I also took home frozen tequeños and made them for the Super Bowl... so good and now officially my go-to party snack. Service was excellent, super fast, and the girl at the counter was so sweet and really knew the menu. The ambiance is great too, they have coffee, wine, board games, and books, which makes it perfect for hanging out with friends. Definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

I've admittedly only had their arroz con leche but it was AMAZING and the best I've ever had.

For a random lunch, I decided to try something a bit different after a seeing an email stating that Arepateca's food truck was going to be in the area. With four main arepas, the menu is pretty straightforward. I thought the names of the arepas were quite cute and very original. Such arepas include Porky Pine, Sweet Domino O'mine, Crunch Reina, and Brisket Caribe. For my lunch, I was feeling porky so I went the Porky Pine arepa. I have to admit that I have not consumed too many arepas, but I thought my arepa was tasty. The Porky Pine was about $14, which I thought was fair - I'm not really sure how this price compares to other arepa spots in the area. The Porky Pine arepa was stuffed with pulled pork, cheddar cheese, pickled red onions and included a pineapple habanero sauce. I thought the combinations of flavors were pretty good. However, I probably would have preferred another type of cheese (e.g., queso blanco) over the addition of cheddar cheese. I dunno, the cheddar cheese seemed to take away from the Latin vibes of the arepa. Like I said earlier, I'm not an expert of arepas so maybe cheddar is an legitimate selection for an arepa. If I visit the food truck again, I'll more than likely opt for no cheddar if I were to try the Porky Pine arepa again. All in all, a pretty decent place to get a quick bite to eat. read more

I placed an order on DoorDash and went to pick it up, parking was easy to find. It was my first time trying Arepas, the authentic Venezuelan dish & it was alright, it was filling for one but I did not enjoy the crispy skin; it was very salty for my liking. I did like that they use gluten free bread and it was a good mixture of creamy & crunchiness. You can tell chimichurri sauce is authentic by its acidity, it pairs well with any kind of meat especially grilled. read more

Amazing!!! I'm a GF girl that loves to try new things and I was fortunate enough to try Arepateca for lunch via their food truck and it didn't disappoint! I tried the brisket and Sweet O'Domino w/o cheese and they were so good. The brisket was so juicy and flavorful and the tomatoes and chimichurri complement it so well. The Sweet O'Domino was delicious as well and the black beans were creamy, smokey and savory and complemented well with the sweet and crunch plantain! The arepas were also cooked perfectly! I also tried the lemon cane and was fortunate enough to be given a sample in advance of making my decision. It was so tasty! Really good arepas made in an interesting location, looked like a shared kitchen, coop food center. Takeout only, located behind a small retail strip, the door is colorfully marked with a few food logos. The kind owner came to the front door to greet us and offer if we needed help with the QR code for ordering. Our arepas (plus the free drink) were brought out to our car in 10 min. Ordered delivery and though their app didn't register it they made it for me right away so driver was only a little late. Tried the brisket and vegetarian black bean and both were absolutely amazing.
