Boy how times have changed. A couple of years ago this place could not fail. Service is the main issue with this place. Surprisingly on Sunday's for brunch this place goes from 2 stars to 3-4. I don't get with the difference is but we came on a Friday and it was just a mediocre experience at best. The happy hour menu from 3-9 is pretty legit. My wife and I both ordered the fajitas and they were pretty tasty. This location is in need of a facelift bad. Outdated decor and old furniture that is torn or needs replacing. Victor is such a polite, nice and down to earth guy to talk to and provides such great service. Francisco is such a fun person. Not only will he provide good service but will make you wanna talk to him more just cuz he's that exiting. Not only that, the staff is is friendly and will do anything to meet your needs. Omg thank god we finally have a good Mexican restaurant near us n the 12. Food was delicious. Ate here almost a year ago and swore to never come back.! New owners now and Service was spot on... We came in as a party of nine for Father's Day after having extremely long wait times at other places in the area. We were able to get seated right away. Service was good for a busy Sunday. Most of our party decided to order off the menu rather than get the buffet. I had the Don Perico Salad, which was significantly bigger than in was expecting. All the portions were large and could easily make a second meal. The bottomless chips and salsa was also a nice touch. I was also happy tonsee social distancing measures in place, however, the party next to ours added on to it near the end giving us less than 6ft of distance. Our dining experience was disappointing. We came (3 adults and a 4 year old) and were seated in the bar area closest to the restroom, rather than the quieter side where other people were seated more peacfully. We were given only 2 menus to share. My mom ordered the Avacado Tostada and they asked her what dressing she wanted. My mom relayed that the tostada did not come w/ dressing and trying to help our server out I said she (my mom) doesn't want the Avacado Salad, she wants the Tostada and even pointed out the items on their seperate pages to reiterate the correct item she wanted. The server said they were they same thing and she brought the salad although they clearly are two seperate items on the menu with differentiating ingredients. I had to ask for a booster seat and my dads taco came burnt. Don't waste your time here if you want good mexican food. Food wasn't great. When we came in I asked an employee how long the buffet went on for to decide if we should order off the menu and he said until we were done eating. We just ordered through grub hub, the exact order we had 2 weeks ago. 1 fajita suprema and 1 ground beef enchiladas. We got the full order of fajitas including rice and beans but the enchiladas were only 1 and came with nothing (no rice or beans) so I called them and he said it was an ala carte order but it wasnt. Came in on a Saturday afternoon about 330ish. Wasn't very busy which is how I like it. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by the bartender who was nice with the small talk. We came in here after noon for Sunday Brunch Buffet. Price was about $13.99 plus tax. If mimosa or champagne was incl., it was not offered. Place was busy. People watching the game. Much props because so many Mexican restaurants are not giving out chips and salsa. They have coffee, horchata, and 2 other drinks for self serve. I told the server on buffet line that coffee was not hot at all. Manager heard me and said he make me a fresh pot and would take it to my table. He did bring me hot coffee and replaced the coffee carafes on the buffet table. Awesome! They have a few great salsas to choose from, which is fabulous. Sometimes you want a hot chile. You can make your own tacos (homemade tortillas) with toppings, omelet bar, waffles, beans, rice, posole, menudo, chile relleno, chile verde, enchiladas, chicken fajitas, bkfst sausage, fresh fruit, salad, desserts, and even chicken salad (Mexican style). My husband decides if he will return depending on the quality of the menudo. He thought it had just ok taste. He tried beef tacos and did not care for the beef. He did like the fruit salad mixed with yogurt and the chorizo with egg. I really liked my tacos, waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, and that there was sour cream and pico de gallo mixed with avocado. I will not go back to this place... we had problems the second we sat down. I came with my family, we have a 2 year old daughter and out comes the chips and salsa. Came here just the other day and was rather pleased with both the service and food. It was a Friday evening and our group of 14 was trying to find a decent happy hour. After a few failed attempts at other local places to find or reserve a table, we settled on this location. We called ahead to see if they would be able to accommodate us, sure enough. They said they would even set aside a table in the bar area for our group. Sweet! When we arrived we honestly expected the place to be dead. I mean, why else would a restaurant go out of their way to set up a place just for Happy Hour goers? Instead, we were pleasantly surprised to find a wide variety of people. Lots of families, large groups, and plenty of the after-work Happy Hour crowd. It wasn't 10 seconds before we were seated that our drink orders were taken and plenty of chips and salsa on the table. In fact, we never had to ask for extra. My chip bowl was always full and Margarita's flowing. All their appetizers were half off through 9pm. That's a pretty amazing Happy Hour if you ask me. Even their flavored margaritas were on special. It's pretty hard to find a decent mango margarita that is less than $7, I think this one was $3 or $4? We ended up ordering several of their half-off appetizers. Everything was good. Not blow your mind awesome, but solid nonetheless. I had their chicken flauta platter. Chicken was flavored nicely and went well with their homemade guacamole and salsa. Neither of which were all that spicy if you're worried about that kind of thing. I was rather impressed with the waitress that tended to us. She remembered everyone's drink orders and never once became agitated with our prolonged stay (we were there for close to 3 hours). I will go back because it is convenient, good, and clean. It's a place you can take your grandmother to and not worry about sketchy parking or bugs scurrying across the floor. I have to say though, those types of places usually have the best food. I have taken my family here before and they have always been happy with the food and service. Atmosphere is warm and inviting and definitely caters to families.There's other places in town that are better in food and service, but this one has the advantage of being convenient and well rounded in terms of food and service. The kids in my family have never had issue with the variety on the children's menu. It's standard fare to have tacos, quesadillas, and cheeseburgers. Heck, if you've been to certain parts of Mexico you know that this is standard at most of their restaurants. I went with a big group of friends to Don Perico's on Cinco de Mayo. The place was packed/busy and there was approximately ten of us seated at one table. It took about fifteen minutes for them to ask us if we wanted any drinks. Most of us ordered margaritas, as they have a variety of margarita flavors that include fruit punch, banana, strawberry, melon balls, mango (with or without chammy), and more. One of the waiters forgot my drink :( but he apologized and brought my drink as soon as he realized that I did not have one. Our food took approximately an hour and it was hard for us to wave down the waiters to request another drink. Good food and drinks, but the wait time was a little ridiculous. Walked in this place for a late lunch, knowing I was going to eat the buffet. It took a while before I was greeted, then I headed straight to the buffet. There was no one waiting to serve the food at the buffet, and I waited 5 minutes before the server showed up. She did not know what food was in some of the containers, and had no clue what a chile rellano was. I sat down to eat the food, which was mediocre at best, and was served my first drink after I was done with my plate of food. Horrible service to say the least! I noticed the manager did not help the staff in any way, and let the phone ring off the hook as he stood directly next to it! I was the one calling because I could not get any service! The kicker was when I noticed a dead cockroach sandwiched between my tortillas! I left and will not return! read more

My husband and I have been visiting this location for years. I enjoy the atmosphere and their adult beverages/sports in the bar--delightful! This is THE place for Taco Tuesday. $3 gets you a ticket good for three tacos (must purchase a drink). You then take the ticket up to a table that is set up where a nice lady makes them for you. They make the tortillas fresh right in front of you. They have a verde sauce and a hot red salsa, onions, cilantro and roasted jalapenos. So simple yet so delicious. The carne is cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The chicken is just okay. The service here is kind of slow but they get packed early on Taco Tuesday. The cook from the White Lane restaurant came over, but he must have gone back, because it just isn't the same and there isn't anything drawing me there. There are a couple outstanding staff, like Victor, but some others have been downright nasty. The bar is always too loud with music blasting and you can even hear it into the restaurant. But that just means you have to hold yourself back before you get your entrees. My cousin took my and my friend here during a visit this past weekend. We arrived around 6:30pm and were quickly seated. We got chips and drinks right off the bat. My cousin quickly asked for the chile verde and yes, it was AWESOME! Little strips of pork and sweet onions, yes, perfect! I wasn't too hungry so I ordered the shrimp ceviche and a chile verde tamale. My friend got 2 shrimp tacos and my cousin got the shrimp fajitas. Let me just say that they give you so much shrimp and their portions are much bigger than I expected. Coming from the Bay Area, food is more expensive and the portions are much smaller. I can assure you that the prices here are much cheaper and the food was much better. The service was fast and the refills on the chile verde just kept coming. We order to go menu (side of Mexica rice & asada burrito). The establishment looked clean, welcoming and full of Parrot statues which I found warm and artful. The decor looked hacienda style with a sense of privacy ambience. Very friendly staff and our order was ready within 10 minutes. Now the Mexican rice was delicious not mushy, tastefully and the right firmness. But the asada burrito was delicious! The burrito was topped with a mild salsa sauce and jack/cheddar cheese melted on top. We come from out of town and this was a quick pit stop but it will be a must from now on. So I've been here several times before and loved it. Today was very disappointing because we waited 20 minutes before having to go up and get our own menus and then it took about an hour and 15 minutes for our food to arrive and that was after I asked them to just give us a bill for the drinks because we didn't have the time to wait longer. Our waiter was nice and felt bad for us waiting so long and comped a couple of the drinks however when the food arrived we could tell it had been sitting for awhile and possibly thrown in the microwave. I cut my burrito open and all this water came pouring out. My daughter had a chicken quesadilla and the quesadilla was sitting in water so the whole thing was a soggy mess and the cheese inside was just clumps of soggy mess. None of us are more than 2 bites of the food. My friends quesadilla came out different then what he ordered and the whole experience has left us not wanting to go again.
