THE BEST coco mojito ive ever had
Sabrina B.

WOW. Just WOW. 5 star service such a sweet and welcoming young lady named Claudia who provided kind and excellent service ... even walking in rather late night we were welcomed ! - The food was SCRUMPTIOUS, truly divine seasoning, preparation and presentation.. the meat was just perfect and such great quality ... you can even tell the free salsa is handmade and FRESH ! That kind of attention to detail really is so elevating - The ambiance was chill, the energy was both laid back and live ! I truly enjoyed the uplifting music and the intimacy of the space ! - All I can say is we can't wait to be back!

Don Chepe's to be honest the food at this location was a little disappointing. I tried the chicken burrito and it's was full of rice, dry and the other ingredients inside were hard to find because it was so packed with rice. However the flavors were not bad tasting. My wife order a Mexican chicken soup and it was more of a dip than a soup. The portion size was excellent, but it definitely is something I dont recommend unless you eating it with some chips. It's was also full of small chucks of cheese which really was unenjoyable for her. Overall the experience was not all bad. The decor is very nice. The painting on the walls are very cool. Restaurant is large enough for a group event and birthday. Staff are very nice. Food was served fast. The bar is very nice for a drink.

Came for cinco de mayo and wanted to spend time with the family with good live music and good drink specials. U would think. I honestly liked the place but the music was very loud. But understandable it was an event. Aside of that 2 buckets , 1 margarotaaa , 1 normal margarita and 1 limonade. Literally that's it. 148 dollars... I mean... was it really worth it ? I don't think so.

Chimichanga
Alex B.

I have seen this restaurant passing by and always wanted to try it. Today was the day. When I sat down, our waitress took our drink orders and brought the warm chips and salsa. Chips were kinda stale. Our table ordered a chicken chimichanga, beef burrito, kids chicken nuggets and half a rack of ribs. In addition, we ordered three horchatas and two passion fruit margaritas. The horchatas tasted okay. Tasted similar to watered oats, which is not how horchata is made. So, for $6/glass, I prefer to do my own authentic horchata. Overall, the dishes were fine, but nothing memorable. I really wanted to like this place.

Highly recommend! Best Mexican place in Kendall! Food is always delicious and comes out so fast. Staff is always so friendly and helpful. Taco Tuesday is available! (Birria Tacos are 2 for 1, etc.). Every plate I've tried has always been pleasing. Great burritos, tacos, elote, and Birria! Chips and salsa are always fresh. They also have a nice bar. The ambiance is very fun and the restaurant itself is decorated in a very unique way. Music is always playing and theme overall is fun. Try this place! You won't regret it.

Tacos de churrasco al carbón

Don Chepe's in west kendall is awesome! i had the tacos de churrasco al carbón, and they were amazing. the steak was grilled perfectly and so flavorful. Their very refreshing lemonade is made in house. They have a variety of dishes and the restaurant has a fully stocked bar with a cozy vibe, and the staff is super friendly. if you love mexican food, you have to check this place out. highly recommend!

Passion fruit margorota

Wanted to find something close to home and with outdoor seating since I had dogs in tow. First time here and was immediately greeted and seated. Given menus and few minutes to look it over. My Wife and I both ordered Margorotas which has double the tequila and was delicious. Started off with two appetizers guacamole and chips and queso. Both delicious as well. For the main mixta fajitas with corn tortillas, and it had so much food I had leftovers the next day for lunch and dinner. My Wife had barria tacos and it had so much meat she had left overs as well. The service excellent and friendly. We would definitely come back here again. Its a hidden gem in west kendall.

Delicious! The chimichanga was crispy and perfectly filled inside, the birria tacos were flavorful! And not pictured were the carne asada nachos, soo yummy!

We were there last night, Friday. The place have a great ambiance, live music with a singer with an excellent voice and variety songs. The best part is that he create a relation with the audience that is unique. The food es good, the drinks too (my michelada was on point!) with a tequila shot moment at 9 pm that was a great plus. Unexpected and creative!! We love it! Perfect place for friends, couples or family gatherings. Very good service, that makes us return again!!

Passion fruit juice + Lemonade juice

I've been here several times and the food is delicious. Today we went for something fast and the service was good. I ordered the carne asada and it was very flavorful but I tried my husband's dish which was the churrasco but it didn't have much flavor and the strips were cut long and got stuck in my throat...probably would cut them more to avoid that again. Regardless, the place is great and the chips and dip are also so good!

Fish Tacos

Don Chepes' Mexican Restaurant in West Kendall looks great as you enter. The decor is colorful and welcoming. The restaurant looks clean and we were greeted as soon as we arrived. We were given chips and salsa as soon as we were seated, they were okay. We had to wait a long time to get our drinks. We ordered fish tacos and they were not very flavorful. The guacamole we ordered on the side was pretty good. The food was very pricey for the size and quality.

We went here between January 27 & February 6/2026. La Potranca has five Florida locations, but this cantina does not feel like a chain. Authentic sabor Mexicano with an excellent friendly staff. Family friendly & handi-able accesible from the parking lot. This location gets full by 7pm but there is extended service & seating in the common covered courtyard. Plenty of parking in this strip mall location. Service is excellent, fast, & great choices of tacos & drinks. You can choose from 14 different meats/cuts for your tacos, including birria & al pastor. Bow to the taco! Also gringas, vampiros, & burritos. They have bowls (they're BIG) & brunch. p.s. try the churros with 3 dipping sauces. Drinks are extra special here. The clamato & beer cocktail is very unique. Served in a Tajin rimmed large mug, with lime & a tamarind wrapped straw. Excellante! Also a variety of margaritas served in whimsical glasses & their three house cervazas (beers) on draft. La Potranca pays homage to iconic singer & actor Vincente Fernandez "King of Ranchera". Check out the interesting connection with the staff or online. The staff here is excellent. Very helpful when navigating the menu. Very friendly. True professionals. Special shout out to Mauricio & Ralphael - you hombres make this place truly special. Mucho Gracias. We give La Potranca our highest recommendation. The hardest part about dining here was deciding what I wanted to order. I could have ordered the entire menu it looked so good! Helpful tip... check out the menu and know what you're going to order before you get in line. Otherwise you're going to be pressured to order at the front of the line. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! The real star of the show for me was this unassuming looking House Club Sandwich that was to die for. Seriously ... it was so good. I ordered mine without the ham, and it was divine! I wish i lived closer. I'm already dreaming of coming back. My son ordered some kind of short rib/beef burrito and it disappeared so quickly I didn't even get to snap a photo. This is a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend it. One thing I can say is that it's on the pricey side. $113 lunch for 2 added up super fast but it was well worth it. I'll be dreaming of that sandwich til my next visit!

I ordered the mahi mahi tacos, and while they tasted ok, the portion size felt pretty small for the price. Overall, it came across as a bit overpriced for what you get. The service style is more casual and self-directed. You order and pay at the register, get a number, and then find your own seat while they bring the food out to you. Water is self-serve, and once you're done with your meal, you just head out. There's minimal interaction with staff, which might appeal to people who prefer a more low-key, independent dining experience or want a place to sit and work without being interrupted. That said, the service did not feel very friendly or welcoming. And personally, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Having stayed till closing of two music week events the prior to evenings, this was in my mind a great recovery meal. Despite the name, this restaurant is not just Mexican, but actually fusion with Uruguayan cuisine. The main courses focused on that area, and the tacos had a lot of exotica such as ear and tongue.
