Pizza Birria
Melanie L.

Awesome hidden Mexican spot! Menu has a great variety to choose from and staff was friendly. We ordered the Birria pizza; it was delicious! Came out fast and can easily be shared. The jalapeños sauces at the table are super good too. Horchata was kind of good. Ambiance is super casual.

This place was so good! They offer mini quesadillas which are perfect, I got the Al pastor and it was delicious, I also got the barbacoa and Al pastor tacos which were a 10/10, and the birria sandwich was amazing , a little bit greasy but so worth it. They have 3 different sauces, my favorite by far was sweet and tasted like pineapples I put it on everything. I also had the loaded fries with chicken and I would honestly skip these, they're crinkle cut and taste like the ones that come frozen in a bag and the chicken was not anything to rave about. Service was okay, the place is pretty small but very nicely decorated with the walls painted. They also sell a few Mexican candies which I bought a few of to try! I will definitely be coming here again for some authentic Mexican food.

Looking for a spot for some yummy tacos and on a Tuesday is even better. They have tacos for two dollars! Yes ! Two dollars and with some yummy carne asada. The horchata was a must so i definitely was a happy camper afterwards. The service was good and ambiance was a chill low key spot. I hope more people try it out because it's a Kendall hidden gem.

We're always looking for good taco spots, and this one was a great find! We see this place when we go to the gym so we finally tried it out and holy yum! We started off with the guac and chips, and the portion was pretty big. We shared it and still didn't finish it. The guac was sooo good, it's easy to mess to guac but this place definitely didn't. I tried the al pastor and asada tacos, both for the spot. We also got a side of esquites which were also so yummy! Next time I would try the elite to see and taste how they do it and it'll give me an excuse to come back! It's a cute little taco restaurant with about 4-5 tables and a bar like area that fits about 4 more people. Definitely recommend coming here! The service and staff are so great, friendly, accommodating and are very attentive!

Carne asada tacos. Salsa picante on the side

Love their carne asada tacos with picante on the side. Portion is filling and authentic Mexican ambiance when you walk in. One of my new tacos Tuesday spots. I like that they close late at 11pm. Service was quick and friendly.

Birria Combo

Yummmm the birria combo was delicious! I ordered food togo the staff was friendly and food came out quickly. Only negative is they charge customers a credit card fee. The owner needs to cover this its embarrassing to charge it to the customer. In this generation everyone pays with a card.

Amazing food, really good price. I ordered takeout for me and my girlfriend. Chips & Guac: excellent chips made in house and the guacamole itself had a ton of flavor Birria Combo: super flavorful and with the sauce it was next level 10/10 Tacos (Pollo, Chorizo, Barbacoa): all excellent, my gf hates chicken and loved it

Tacos de barbacoa . No cebolla. Extra cilantro.

...... Finally a place in kendall that serves authenic mexican street food . Nothing fancy (as mexican street food is simple yet very delicious) and the prices are fair. I ordered carry out and the food was ready in 5 minutes . The workers were friendly and the place was small, but comfortable. I will return and I do recommend.

Al Pastor Taco
Karol M.

An okay spot, but there are definitely better options around. The tacos al pastor and esquites were pretty good, and the service was friendly, which was a plus. But the burrito was a big letdown - it had way too much lettuce and barely any meat, which threw off the whole thing. Also, they were out of guac, which was surprising and a bit disappointing for a Mexican place. For the same price, you can find other places nearby with better quality and more consistent offerings. Not a bad experience, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Tacos and burritos did not disappoint. Service was good considering how busy they were.

Wow this may be my new favorite Mex place! Their tacos are so delicious, full of flavors and piping hot! I like how they have mini quesadilla, and also gladly do a half/half large quesadilla like many places do with pizza. Highly recommend their fresh juices, especially considering that the Jarritos are $3 and Mex Coke $4, the juices at $3.50 is a steal! Especially as it comes in a tajin-rimmed cup topped with a tamarind stick. The food alone is worth the stars, and the service warrants it even more. The girl taking the order is really nice, and she even apologized for her English. I'm been given many dirty looks for not being able to communicate in Spanish in Miami, so her gesture is really appreciated! We did apologize for our Spanish too, lol. The menu is rather small, and mostly "street food", but if you want a quick and truly great bite, I totally recommend this place.

Shredded chunky cheddar cheese on a Torta
Val T.

So the food wasn't terrible but not great either. I was mostly surprised at them putting shredded cheddar cheese in a torta. I expected but this doesn't meld with the flavors if what a torta should be. The amount of actual meat was scarce, noticeably and unacceptably, in addition to lots of cartilage bites despite such little meat content. The bread was fresh and good and the red salsa on the table was nice. Service was also very quick I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. If you check this place out I suggest ordering something else.

Barbacoa Taco
Beatriz L.

It was taco tuesday and I came across this places from the social media platform. The ambience of this place feels like your little local cantina, the service was super quick and helpful when ordering. They offer $2 tacos on tuesday! We end up ordering 24 tacos between el pastor, carnita and the arrachera. My fav was the al pastor even though all were packed with favor. I had a take out and the food was still fresh, it wasn't soggy or dried everything was separated as requested. I will totally come back since it is super closed, plus who doesn't love a Tacos Tuesday offer!

Terrible attempt at making a taco. Disappointing. Where's my onions and pineapple?

i LOVEEEEEE don chepes. i always devour the salsa, the guac, and the flautas. i am a dip CRITIC,…read moreand i can confidently say their salsa and guac are really good. I will say it's a bit pricey for kinda being a small restaurant, but what isn't in miami nowadays??? i'm actually writing this review craving it again soooo i think im gonna go pick some up hehe

I went to Don Chepe's in Kendall for Cinco de Mayo and honestly, never again. The restaurant was…read morecompletely overwhelmed and clearly not equipped to handle the amount of people they were trying to pack in there. They had seating inside a tent, music blasting from inside the restaurant speakers, plus another speaker outside, plus a DJ on top of that. The entire place was chaotic and so loud that you could barely even have a conversation. What made it even more disappointing was that this was supposed to be a Cinco de Mayo celebration at a Mexican restaurant, yet the entire time the DJ outside was mainly playing Cuban music. It honestly did not match the atmosphere at all. I eventually even asked the DJ if he could please play some Mexican music because it was Cinco de Mayo. I'm Mexican myself, and overall I did not enjoy the food, the music, or the atmosphere. Our waitress was terrible from the start. Every time we tried to order or ask for something, she acted like we were bothering her. The service overall was just awful. By the time our food finally arrived, we honestly didn't even want it anymore. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were disappointing. The tortillas tasted undercooked, and the carne asada was tough and cold. Then came the worst part. My friend and I split the bill and noticed that a 20% gratuity had already been included. Somehow, the waitress still added another 20% tip on top of each of our bills when she charged our cards. When we questioned it, she acted confused and like she had no idea what happened. We asked to speak to a manager, and instead of calmly helping resolve the issue, he was loud and confrontational. Another friend in our group kept asking for a copy of her receipt, and the manager actually threatened to call the cops on her while refusing to provide it. At that point, it honestly made us question whether additional charges had also been added to her bill as well. Because everything was so disorganized, it took nearly another hour just to straighten out the bill situation. In the end, the waitress had to give me the extra tip amount back in cash. I understand restaurants get busy on Cinco de Mayo, but this went beyond "busy." It was chaotic, disorganized, unprofessional, and honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. Very disappointed.

Love coming here always, love the drinks and the people that work here…read more Food always comes out so fast and the vibes are always on point I had to come back and make sure I posted the Happy Hour for everyone to find and their menu

Tacos and Tattoos used to be a very small place in Sable Chase that was always crowded, but it was…read morefamily-owned, the food was great, and the environment was always friendly and kind. Since they've moved to this bigger location, they've done nothing but grow themselves into a restaurant that has tasteless food, charges WAY too much money or overcharges you, as I will show from my pictures. They seem to have lost all those family values and now just sell food that has very little flavor. What the southerners say is, "they got a little too big for their britches." Today, after a very long time of not going there, I thought to try again as I used to love having their crunchy little hard shelled tacos. Since today is $2 taco day, what better day to go, right? As you can see, from the first image, these are being sold as their $2 tacos. I can assure you these are not even close to being actual or normal sized tacos. They're more like little chips. They got the smallest little flower tortilla they could find, put a little bit of meat on there and some toppings, and that's what they're calling their "tacos." They didn't even have any flavor to them. Then I asked for a little bit of their salsa, which I used to love getting their salsa and chips for free. The girl charged me $1.50 for this teensy little thing of salsa and didn't disclose that to me. I get the bill that I think is going to be $6.00, and when I questioned her because it was over $8.00, only then did she disclose the $1.50. She also did not provide me or my friend an itemized bill even when she took my credit card. If you're going to charge that much money for something so small, the waiter or bartender should disclose that to the customer so they have a choice as to whether they want to pay that much money for something so small. This used to be a great place to eat with really good, tasty food, and now it's just become a flavorless, overpriced mexican restaurant. Very sad. I will never spend my money there again. I wouldn't suggest you do either.
