Come with me to La Catrina a food truck located in Kendall. It was late at night and I wanted chicken tacos, I decided to finally try La Catrina. Tacos La Catrina offers a limited menu filled with amazing flavors. I ordered a Chicken Birria Pizzadilla and their Chicken Birria Taco. Both had great flavor, the tortillas held up well and did not crumble. Their Birria Consomé is rich in flavor and is not overly greasy. The Pizzadilla is great for multiple people, my whole family of 5 ate it. The chicken in both the tacos and pizzadilla is tender and has good seasoning, the consomé complements it well. I liked the Chicken Tacos more than the Pizzadilla, the tacos had good flavor on their own, and with the consomé, they were even better. The food also travels well. The service was amazing, they were very nice and attentive.
Taco Tuesday at La Catrina is impressive. The line is long, the music is pumping, and the people are patiently waiting for their food. I have to say that the tacos are pretty good. Not out of this world, but pretty good. Being that it was taco Tuesday they only had two types of tacos available, the steak and chicken. Honestly, what made the tacos really good was the Birria (the dipping sauce) it was really really good. Being that we tried this place on a Tuesday and the menu is limited I can't speak for the rest of the tacos that are on the list, but the ones that we did try were pretty good. We will be going back to try the rest of the of the menu and I'll be updating my review. I recommend that you go on a Tuesday so you can experience this place at its peak.
The food is honestly amazing, I lived in Mexico and the closest I have found to authentic Mexican food was this spot, their staff is extremely friendly and service is always on point, I always get my food pretty fast even when there are huge lines, the environment is also great, they have chairs and tables for big groups to sit, if you haven't tried it go!!
Came for the $2 tacos on Thursday and wow! I thought the quality wouldn't be as good but I love myself a good deal. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and how loaded the tacos were. Will be coming back for some more birria steak tacos! Plaza they are located at offers plenty of parking!
With a variety of taco places around, I noticed this small food truck on 137 avenue and 128 street, located inside of Chevron parking lot. The location wasn't too full on a Sunday night and the service was friendly and quick. I went with the burrilla tacos that were a favorite online and a chicken mulita ( think round crunchy type quesadilla). The order was filled quickly and I waited less than 5 minutes to take the food to go. I realized why it was so fast once I tried the food. Great taste and cheesy when it came to both platters. However, it didn't taste fresh to be honest, it seemed as if the food was already prepped and cooked and was simply left to warm to fill orders. I say this due to the fact that the food was warm, and the tacos and mulita were not crunchy, which is what you would expect when it's freshly made. Anything fried for the most part is crunchy, so crunchy that you hear it. Both meals didn't have that, they were both chewy, which leads me to believe they're ready to go and just kept warm. However, the food had a great flavor and the sauce to dip in the food was also good. I didn't receive any chips in my meal, as I noticed some other pictures showed they did. I'd definitely come back here again with the hopes of it tasting fresh.
OMG. Been wanting to try this food truck with its glow in the dark exterior and painted happy skeletons eating tacos and drinking. We arrived on Friday around 6 before the crowds and my tacos birria were ready within minutes. Birria is a dipping sauce. I have no idea what's in it but it is GOOD! And I mean finger licking good. So glad we tried them out. Can't wait for Taco Tuesday where each taco is $2. La Catrina...keep the good stuff coming.
AMAZING PIZZA! So so so good they deserve 5 stars. The birria tasted amazing and the tortillas were freshly made and crispy they were soggy. Everything was 10/10. The service was nice and helped us out with recommendations! And the ambiance was nice. They have several chairs located around them to eat and tables. Only thing missing was the music! But everything was very filling and yummy
Next level birria! Can't choose a favorite between chicken or steak, they're both insane. I literally DRANK the birria sauce. Order more than you think you want, you'll eat them anyway. Or I'll eat them for you. Fast and friendly service. And Tuesday is taco Tuesday--$2 birria special. I love you La Catrina!
I love, love, LOVE these tacos. They're my guilty pleasure when I am craving tacos. It's a food truck in a spacious lot near Wawa and there's luckily always parking. I have yet to go on a Tuesday ( which I definitely should since they're much cheaper then) but each time I go I die and go to heaven! I get the birria tacos each time so I can't say anything about the other menu items. Get these tacos, you will get hooked like I am!!!!

It pains me to say this but the quality has gone down in comparison to when I first started coming here. It's not just taste of the birria tacos but I even think they are smaller somehow? If you've never tried it before I recommend coming on taco Tuesday for the $2 / taco deal and before 8pm so you don't have to wait over 30 minutes for your order. read more

My tattoo artist recommended me this place when we talked about food so I went after a session with him. The location is in a parking lot so when it says you arrived just drive deeper in and look to your right and you'll see the food truck. They add a block off (you can see in my picture) where they add tables and chairs so you can dine right there if you want. Parking is easy peasy since it's an entire lot. Ordering is easy too. Menu is on the right of the truck. You order and then wait. They auto give you everything in to go boxes but you can eat in and just use the boxes if you don't finish. Took maybe 10-20 mins to get my order which was just a steak quesadilla. It comes with birria sauce. I asked for extra sauce (the green and spicy) as well and then went home to eat. This pizzadilla is so delicious! First off the green and spicy sauce are not needed at all. Technically neither is the birria but I highly recommend it as it adds to the flavour. It's so good that I started eating through the pain of my fullness and had to stop myself at the last two slices. I mention this cause the next day I microwaved the last two and ate them with a refrigerated birria sauce container and it was just as delicious. This place is awesome and I would definitely go again. Try it out! read more
Love la catrina! They are located kind of far from me, but occasionally have pop-ups that work out better for me! Today i indulged in taquitos de birria- loved them! Thank you for venturing out of Kendall once in a while :) try the 'mulitas' if you can! read more

Came upon this food truck one night and decided to try. They had tacos as well as other items in their very small menu. I ordered the Al Pastor birria tacos and a chicken mulita. To me Birria is Birria and should taste like nothing else but I don't understand where they would be going with these different meats and putting birria at the end of each protein on their menu but anyways, the Al Pastor birria tacos was "eh". The meat was a little hard not tender at all. What's a taco truck without authentic hot sauces? They didn't have none. To me that was a fail. The chicken mulita however was ok. It was like a mini quesadilla but still failed to impress me. The overall experience here wasn't all great but can't say it was bad either. read more

If the tacos weren't amazing, they wouldn't have a line with more than 20 ppl waiting to order at 7:03pm (they open at 7pm). Only reason I am giving 4 out of 5 stars is cause on busy days like Taco Tuesday ($2) I've received tacos with the tortilla kind of burnt. Definitely worth checking them, my tacos today came out perfectly I also like that there is a chicken option in addition to beef. read more

I have been coming to La Catrina for over a year. Every time I go I am delighted to say it receive delicious food and wonderful service! The Birria tacos are wonderful they are a little small for the price for 3 for $12, however you can get a bang for your buck if you go on Tuesday's which are tacos for $2. The mulitas are just as savory and I believe they were also $12. Great nutritious homemade meal. 10/10 read more
$5 mulitas on mondays! $2 tacos on Tuesdays! You can place online orders everyday except for tuesdays and they only have the $2 tacos available on Tuesday. Open 7-12 am. They have great music playing and food truck has such a nice decoration in it. A lot of chairs and tables available read more

Our very first time going and will definitely go back to try the tacos and horchata, which they didn't have today. I love Mexican tacos and learned to eat al pastor the right way, with pineapple, when working in Mexico City. I had never come across a "mulita" or "birria" and went for the Monday mulita special. The mulita is like a quesadilla except it's not a folded flour tortilla. The pros - nice portion, very flavorful, nice crunch! The picky - chips are yummy, would be nice with some pico or sauce to eat them with. Al pastor mulita ends up wet in bottom but that's allll thanks to the amazing juices. A quick flip and you get crunch on the bottom :) definitely recommend read more

Omg! I came on a Tuesday and there was. Taco Tuesday Special. Birria tacos are each two dollars. They only serve Birria Tacos on Tuesday. We ordered 12 tacos and it was less than a ten minute wait. There are a good amount of tables and standing tables. No umbrellas so we ate in the car because it's very hot. I loved the tacos. The sauce it came with was so yummy. read more

If you're looking for tasty tacos this is the spot. If you're looking for a fun hip environment this is not the spot. La Catrina is a food truck located in front of Tamiami airport, off to the side of a gas station. Be aware there is limited table seating, but there are also other food truck around if you're looking for desert or extras after. read more

La Catrina, the pizzadilla is a nice addition to Miami's food scene. It's still bourgeois Miami Mexican with absolutely zero heat. La Mulita was a mess to eat, but delicious. Bring wet ones. The Taco's are classic and delish. read more

First dont follow the yelp address go to their IG. Not the most authentic birrias around. Lacked cheese, could have a bit more filling, it wasnt grilled and dipped in flavor like most are but not bad if you want tacos. To me regular tacos with sauce. They are however a bit small. Paid $14 for 3 tacos with chips. My favorite was the chicken from the trio. read more

We were looking for the top rated tacos in Miami before heading back to the Midwest from a weeklong scouting trip to Sea Base. The cook we found out is an Eagle Scout, so he spoke our language. He made our crew some amazing street tacos. We were lucky to score the taco Tuesday deal. The tacos are nice simple corn tortillas with melted Colby jack, diced onions and super juicy brisket and shredded chicken. These are the real deal with fresh lime wedges and an amazing dipping salsa. Thanks for a great go home meal. We will see you guys next time. read more
