My tattoo artist recommended me this place when we talked about food so I went after a session with him. The location is in a parking lot so when it says you arrived just drive deeper in and look to your right and you'll see the food truck. They add a block off (you can see in my picture) where they add tables and chairs so you can dine right there if you want. Parking is easy peasy since it's an entire lot. Ordering is easy too. Menu is on the right of the truck. You order and then wait. They auto give you everything in to go boxes but you can eat in and just use the boxes if you don't finish. Took maybe 10-20 mins to get my order which was just a steak quesadilla. It comes with birria sauce. I asked for extra sauce (the green and spicy) as well and then went home to eat. This pizzadilla is so delicious! First off the green and spicy sauce are not needed at all. Technically neither is the birria but I highly recommend it as it adds to the flavour. It's so good that I started eating through the pain of my fullness and had to stop myself at the last two slices. I mention this cause the next day I microwaved the last two and ate them with a refrigerated birria sauce container and it was just as delicious. Come with me to La Catrina a food truck located in Kendall. It was late at night and I wanted chicken tacos, I decided to finally try La Catrina. Tacos La Catrina offers a limited menu filled with amazing flavors. I ordered a Chicken Birria Pizzadilla and their Chicken Birria Taco. Both had great flavor, the tortillas held up well and did not crumble. Their Birria Consomé is rich in flavor and is not overly greasy. The Pizzadilla is great for multiple people, my whole family of 5 ate it. The chicken in both the tacos and pizzadilla is tender and has good seasoning, the consomé complements it well. I liked the Chicken Tacos more than the Pizzadilla, the tacos had good flavor on their own, and with the consomé, they were even better. The food also travels well. Taco Tuesday at La Catrina is impressive. The line is long, the music is pumping, and the people are patiently waiting for their food. I have to say that the tacos are pretty good. Not out of this world, but pretty good. Being that it was taco Tuesday they only had two types of tacos available, the steak and chicken. Honestly, what made the tacos really good was the Birria (the dipping sauce) it was really really good. Being that we tried this place on a Tuesday and the menu is limited I can't speak for the rest of the tacos that are on the list, but the ones that we did try were pretty good. I came to write a second review just because of how AMAZINGGG that pizzadilla was. This steak birria pizzadilla made my whole YEAR like wow its mind-blowing how delicious it is. Everyone needs to try it once in their life. We got excited because they added chips and guac to their menu, which they only had tacos and the pizzadilla before so it's good to see they are slowly expanding the menu. OMG. Been wanting to try this food truck with its glow in the dark exterior and painted happy skeletons eating tacos and drinking. We arrived on Friday around 6 before the crowds and my tacos birria were ready within minutes. Birria is a dipping sauce. I have no idea what's in it but it is GOOD! And I mean finger licking good. With a variety of taco places around, I noticed this small food truck on 137 avenue and 128 street, located inside of Chevron parking lot. The location wasn't too full on a Sunday night and the service was friendly and quick. I went with the burrilla tacos that were a favorite online and a chicken mulita ( think round crunchy type quesadilla). The order was filled quickly and I waited less than 5 minutes to take the food to go. I realized why it was so fast once I tried the food. Great taste and cheesy when it came to both platters. However, it didn't taste fresh to be honest, it seemed as if the food was already prepped and cooked and was simply left to warm to fill orders. I say this due to the fact that the food was warm, and the tacos and mulita were not crunchy, which is what you would expect when it's freshly made. Anything fried for the most part is crunchy, so crunchy that you hear it. Both meals didn't have that, they were both chewy, which leads me to believe they're ready to go and just kept warm. However, the food had a great flavor and the sauce to dip in the food was also good. I didn't receive any chips in my meal, as I noticed some other pictures showed they did. The food is great! The wait time on the contrary is literally horrifying. The phone # on the back on of their shirts doesn't work so where were all these random people before me were coming from?? I love the food but have only gone a handful of times bc it will never make sense how one has to wait MINIMUM an hour for even the smallest amount of tacos. First review of 2021, and what can I say? I had never heard of Birria Tacos in my life and now they're everywhere. Lucky for me, La Catrina has brought them within 2 miles of my home, ready to pick up whenever my little gut desires. Not sure why this only has 3.5 stars, I thought it was delicious. I tried the mulitas, the birria tacos and the pizzadilla. I guess I could leave the pizzadilla, since I'm not a fan of flour tortillas. The tacos and the mulitas are basically the same thing, but the tortilla is flat instead of curved like tacos. I think I liked the combination in mulita form instead of the tacos, but either way you can't go wrong. The broth for dipping is to DIE FOR. I need to order some next week, because thinking about them is making my mouth water. The staff here was really sweet too. Love this little food truck! read more

We were looking for the top rated tacos in Miami before heading back to the Midwest from a weeklong scouting trip to Sea Base. The cook we found out is an Eagle Scout, so he spoke our language. He made our crew some amazing street tacos. We were lucky to score the taco Tuesday deal. The tacos are nice simple corn tortillas with melted Colby jack, diced onions and super juicy brisket and shredded chicken.
