I was working on-call when I ordered last night so I didn't get a chance to check my order (my coworker had to deliver my food who didn't get a chance to check the order) and to my displeasure, I found the wrong order. It wasn't made clear to me that the taco order came with chips so I bought an order of chips, and I sat down to have dinner then I realized I was given two batches of burnt tortilla chips. This is the BEST TACO in Miami!!! La Catrina Food Truck has the best Birria tacos, for the best price I have ever had (and I've eaten a lot of different tacos). The taco is 5 stars, the service is 5 stars, the price and deal are 5 stars, and the woman making the tacos, she is definitely 5 stars as well. I ordered 45 tacos for myself and family (6 people), half chicken and half steak. Everyone loved it, best tacos they have ever had, 10 out of 10, the tortilla is perfect, the amount of meat and quality of meat is amazing, the cheese is perfectly melted and delicious, and the Birria sauce just takes everything to another level. Everyone ate and was extremely satisfied, and we even had leftovers that lasted for a couple of days, so you can tell the tacos are very filling, and honestly just perfect. I also feel sometimes, the taco is even better the day after somehow, impossibly great. You can't go wrong ordering either a Chicken or Steak Birria Taco, I recommend ordering both, and for only $2 on Tuesdays, you can't beat that deal, you can't and won't find anything better. There are so many taco spots and this has become one of my favorites. Although I wish the waiting period was shorter it's definitely worth the wait. The Birria tacos came out hot and delicious. Not a fan of the esquite- I feel it needs more sweet corn to balance all the salt and tart from the takis. Definitely recommend. read more

We come here because my daughter likes the tacos. Not a big fan. Besides the fact that they are ridiculously expensive, I don't believe there's anything special about this taco truck. Well, today we went to get some tacos, same order we always get, when the order was ready we noticed the tortilla chips that they always give not there, so I ask the lady that took the order, aren't the tacos supposed to come with chips?. Her answer was "Our supplier hasn't brought any", so I tell her, at least you should have let us know before ordering, then her answer charges to "oh no, those are extra". No they are not, every time they are included, so do not give me that lame excuse because you messed up, and decided not to inform the costumers before ordering and kept charging the same. It hurts me to leave this review. I loved this taco spot a year ago, now not so much. I'm not sure what happened but the birria tacos have lost their spark. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe but they no longer dip the tortilla in the birria sauce before adding the meat and other ingredients. My chicken and steak birria didn't have the onions and cilantro I'm used to getting in my previous others. I really want to give them another shot but honestly the last couple of orders have been lacking. read more

While the food is excellent they need to improve in the service. They are way too slow at preparing and serving. With the turnaround they are getting they should be more prepared. Waiting over an hour for a taco is not fun. There was people around waiting for the food and the orders weren't getting out fast enough. Also, the girl calling out the names had this tiny voice that you can barely hear her. It is a high noice area, they need to either use texting to notify you about your order or use a microphone to do so. read more

I went here for the 1st time to try the Birria tacos which are all the hype now--We ordered 6 steak tacos and a Vampiro al pastor which is basically a tortilla topped with choice of meat/pico/green sauce etc.; The Birria tacos were okay it's the consume that is delicious!! It's the tastiest thing ever BUT the vampiro al pastor was extremely salty I couldn't finish it all. With that being said we paid $40 (6 tacos with consume & the vampiro plus 2 jarritos) In my opinion they are overpriced-- Ive had amazing authentic mexican tacos for wayyy less. The wait was 30 mins and the food is also extremely greasy so if you have a sensitive tummy STAY AWAY--the next day I felt sick to my stomach. read more

Food is good. I've been here twice already. The first time I went I made an order of steak birria and chicken birria tacos. It was good but I feel like the dipping sauce needs a bit more flavor. The second time I went, I had the Pizzadilla and an order of alpastor tacos. The pizza was good and the al pastor definitely not the best place to eat al pastor. I give this place 3 stars because I find it quite over priced. $12 for 3 small tacos? No sauce and no chips. Yeah right for under $10 at antojitos I get 3 tacos and a side of rice and beans or chips and salsa and a drink and the place I'm talking about is an actual restaurant. I came across this place via Instagram and decided to try it out. I had the steak tacos (suggested to me by the man at the counter) and all I can say is wow! The meat was well marinated, the taco shell was crispy, and it had just enough melted cheese. The dipping sauce was delicious. I'm not sure what is in it, but it's full of flavor and added to the tacos. I didn't put a lot of sauce out of preference, but someone who likes plenty of sauce will definitely enjoy it. They have Taco Tuesday specials, so I can see them getting very full on that day. I went on a Saturday and waited 15 minutes for my tacos to be ready. Highly recommend this place! read more

Every time I try to order from this place, they find some excuse to not work. I've been here 3 times and only been able to get food once. I've tried calling before hand to order, and they told me I had to order online through Uber eats or grub hub only to see you can't. Their listed closing time is midnight (12 Am) and I've gotten there at 11pm and they tell me they've already closed. Update your closing time online then? The food is mediocre at best, coupled with the lack of customer service makes me think this place won't last long. read more

I give this food truck one star because of the terrible experience I had as a first time customer. I ordered my food and waited about 40 minutes but the worst part of it all is that the 4 people sitting next to me got there food ate and then reordered and still got there food before me. I saw people come and go and nothing with my order. I asked the lady about my order and she said to ask the guys cooking. I left so upset that I didn't notice one of my orders were missing. Food is FANTASTIC but the service and management is absolutely terrible. On Tuesdays you can to order in-person and the only system they have to let you know the order is ready is a microphone. Normally this isn't an issue except that you're forced to wait near the tent where three speakers are all playing different music at the same loud volume.. Last time I placed an order was on a Tuesday and it took exactly TWO HOURS to get my tacos. Now I get it... It's $2 tacos and people place large orders. Gave it a try since it was close to the house and saw a lot of people always there. Not a long wait, BUT if you're looking for flavorful and normal size Birria tacos - THIS IS NOT IT. For taco Tuesday the chicken & steak tacos are 2$ but you get literally kid size taco shells. My boyfriend and I got 10 to share, which felt like we had 3 each tbh. Not enough meat / cheese inside and not filling ... The tacos where so dry and tasted like it has no seasonings what so ever.. hopefully they can improve because the spot was dope & the workers were cool af. They also should add in some sides orders options to help if the tacos are that small. read more
