We went here between January 27 & February 6/2026. La Potranca has five Florida locations, but this cantina does not feel like a chain. Authentic sabor Mexicano with an excellent friendly staff. Family friendly & handi-able accesible from the parking lot. This location gets full by 7pm but there is extended service & seating in the common covered courtyard. Plenty of parking in this strip mall location. Service is excellent, fast, & great choices of tacos & drinks. You can choose from 14 different meats/cuts for your tacos, including birria & al pastor. Bow to the taco! Also gringas, vampiros, & burritos. They have bowls (they're BIG) & brunch. p.s. try the churros with 3 dipping sauces. Drinks are extra special here. The clamato & beer cocktail is very unique. Served in a Tajin rimmed large mug, with lime & a tamarind wrapped straw. Excellante! Also a variety of margaritas served in whimsical glasses & their three house cervazas (beers) on draft. La Potranca pays homage to iconic singer & actor Vincente Fernandez "King of Ranchera". Check out the interesting connection with the staff or online. The staff here is excellent. Very helpful when navigating the menu. Very friendly. True professionals. Special shout out to Mauricio & Ralphael - you hombres make this place truly special. Mucho Gracias. We give La Potranca our highest recommendation. I also ordered the steak bowl which tasted so fresh and delicious and super healthy.

I had the torta, pork belly and al pastor tacos, and esquites! Definitely not bad but a miss in terms of flavor and quality. The esquites my wife and I could not even finish which is rare! It had such an unusual taste of old and rancid corn. One bite and I could not take another please take caution in ordering that! The tacos were fine and the torta was fine! But again it was lacking a more seasoned meat and salsa that tasted less of peppers and more like salt mixed with salt! Now the service and people save the day! So sweet! So helpful! I hate the way the food was as strange as the people were kind but it was just my experience. The ambiance is clean! Vibrant and classic Miami Latin music playing throughout! I wouldn't rule out coming back! But def would be my 4th choice for food!

Super friendly waiters and an amazing kitchen make this restaurant a great experience every time you come here. The menu isn't big but it truly has everyone's favorite dishes. Tacos, sopes, enchiladas, mole and many, many more. The key is everything is made fresh daily. The al pastor tacos, green enchiladas, birria and the mole sauce are all incredibly delicious. Try their micheladas and also the spicy margaritas (both super good). The restaurant ambiance is very cozy and inviting. Its simple but nicely decorated. Give it a try.

We showed up around 3pm on a Sunday and waited about 30 minutes, which felt fair once we realized how small and cozy the place is. Seating is limited, so a bit of patience helps. The food delivered--everything was solid--and the service moved along at a nice pace without feeling rushed. The only real headache? Parking. It's pretty tight and can take some circling to snag a spot. All in, a really enjoyable lunch and definitely worth a return visit... maybe just with a parking strategy next time.

Basically one person up front and one in the back. Didn't speak much English either so resorted to menu pointing. Food was solid but pricey. Decent portion sizes though. Quesadilla (4): good. Very cheesy which we liked. Burritos (5): we got pollo and asada. Both were solid and came with guac and pico de gallo. Flautas (3): super crispy which was good but the chicken was super dry and needed more seasoning. They really rely on the salsas here so drown them. Tacos (3): meats were all well done with good char but again, you need to eat them fast and right away cause the meat is overcooked and dry. Could also use seasoning. The camaron was the best out of asada, camaron, and al pastor. Overall, solid 3.5. they're pretty good on the grill. Many dishes could use more seasoning but the char was good. I'd recommend in a pinch.

Ambiance is what you'd expect out of your everyday taqueria spot. Now the FOOD here... THE FOOD... these carnitas tacos are GAME-CHANGING... taco Tuesdays here are absolutely undefeated.. 2 dollars a taco you can't beat that for the quality you're getting with these tacos.. paired with the salsa verde it just doesn't get any better.. Stop talking about Talkin' Tacos and just go there already!…read more This fast casual spot has a menu that has your staples: tacos, quesadillas, bowls, burritos, salads. Then there's the various proteins (or veggies). Simple enough, until you realize the menu looks so good you want to try everything! The quesabirria is a birria-filled quesadilla, topped with cilantro and onions, with a side of consommé and chips. A huge portion (too much to each at lunchtime, so it'll also be dinner), delicious, flavorful, and tender birria, and just enough salty tortilla chips to break up the richness of the quesadilla. I am used to my consommé being a little bit thicker, but it's still a great accompaniment. It came out quickly, so no long waiting. And the interior is so chic: Gives me "Day of th Dead" vibes with its dim interior lighting with pops of neon colors.

But…read moreever since they opened their first location in Pembroke Pines, the tacos haven't been hitting the same. I was excited when they opened the Doral location since it's much closer to me, and at first their tacos were top notch. My go to orders were always the birria tacos and the shrimp tacos. Unfortunately, recently the quality just hasn't been what it used to be especially considering the prices. I'm not a big fan of the chicken tacos, and the steak tacos are a miss for me as well. The steak doesn't taste like high-quality meat and tends to be dry. I really wish they would improve the quality of their proteins. As for my usual favorites, the last two times I ordered the shrimp tacos, they had a strange flavor and were really soggy, which was disappointing. On top of that, it seems like they may have new employees because service has become noticeably slower. We waited almost an hour for about 50 tacos, which is unusual since they're normally pretty fast. Talkin' Tacos is still one of my favorite spots, and I'm really hoping the quality goes back to what it used to be. If things improve, I would absolutely raise my rating to five stars. But for now, I'm giving it 3 stars due to the inconsistency in food quality and the long wait times.
