Taco Mexico inside the Kwik store is a hidden gem! Fresh, flavorful tacos with juicy meat, warm tortillas, and creamy guac. The cucumber, radish, and lime sides were perfect--and the staff is super nice and attentive.

Amazing food! Amazing customer service! Such a hidden gem! I love how it's a personal shop!

This whole in the wall Mexican is the spot. Highly recommend the arepa de chicharrón y queso, chicken tostada, and the asada mulitas. Reasonably priced. Great week day specials

Great tacos, great price and a very clean location. I always call my order in so I guess the service is good. They are very friendly. It's in the back of a small market and more of a locals spot.

The daily specials here are the best. My first time here I got the $5 Steak Nachos (Thursday special) and they were great! I love supporting small business like this. The cashier was very nice and the chef as well.

Taco Mexico Kwik Stop remains my top pick for the best tacos in South Florida. Whether it's Taco Tuesday or a Friday visit, their fresh ingredients and quick service continue to impress. The Al pastor and pineapple Mulitas are perfection, and the short rib platter is divine. Even though it's tucked away in a Kwik Stop, it's all about the food, not the fancy. I celebrated with the usual short ribs and Mulitas mixto with carne asada and chorizo, and I couldn't be happier. Today, I revisited for more Friday joy! A special they had today was Pupusas with chiccaron! What a delight this was!!!

Fue una muy buena experiencia, la comida deliciosa, atención 10/10, precio en relación a lo que te brindan 10/10

Super friendly waiters and an amazing kitchen make this restaurant a great experience every time you come here. The menu isn't big but it truly has everyone's favorite dishes. Tacos, sopes, enchiladas, mole and many, many more. The key is everything is made fresh daily. The al pastor tacos, green enchiladas, birria and the mole sauce are all incredibly delicious. Try their micheladas and also the spicy margaritas (both super good). The restaurant ambiance is very cozy and inviting. Its simple but nicely decorated. Give it a try.

We showed up around 3pm on a Sunday and waited about 30 minutes, which felt fair once we realized how small and cozy the place is. Seating is limited, so a bit of patience helps. The food delivered--everything was solid--and the service moved along at a nice pace without feeling rushed. The only real headache? Parking. It's pretty tight and can take some circling to snag a spot. All in, a really enjoyable lunch and definitely worth a return visit... maybe just with a parking strategy next time.

We went here between January 27 & February 6/2026. La Potranca has five Florida locations, but this cantina does not feel like a chain. Authentic sabor Mexicano with an excellent friendly staff. Family friendly & handi-able accesible from the parking lot. This location gets full by 7pm but there is extended service & seating in the common covered courtyard. Plenty of parking in this strip mall location. Service is excellent, fast, & great choices of tacos & drinks. You can choose from 14 different meats/cuts for your tacos, including birria & al pastor. Bow to the taco! Also gringas, vampiros, & burritos. They have bowls (they're BIG) & brunch. p.s. try the churros with 3 dipping sauces. Drinks are extra special here. The clamato & beer cocktail is very unique. Served in a Tajin rimmed large mug, with lime & a tamarind wrapped straw. Excellante! Also a variety of margaritas served in whimsical glasses & their three house cervazas (beers) on draft. La Potranca pays homage to iconic singer & actor Vincente Fernandez "King of Ranchera". Check out the interesting connection with the staff or online. The staff here is excellent. Very helpful when navigating the menu. Very friendly. True professionals. Special shout out to Mauricio & Ralphael - you hombres make this place truly special. Mucho Gracias. We give La Potranca our highest recommendation. The hardest part about dining here was deciding what I wanted to order. I could have ordered the entire menu it looked so good! Helpful tip... check out the menu and know what you're going to order before you get in line. Otherwise you're going to be pressured to order at the front of the line. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! The real star of the show for me was this unassuming looking House Club Sandwich that was to die for. Seriously ... it was so good. I ordered mine without the ham, and it was divine! I wish i lived closer. I'm already dreaming of coming back. My son ordered some kind of short rib/beef burrito and it disappeared so quickly I didn't even get to snap a photo. This is a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend it. One thing I can say is that it's on the pricey side. $113 lunch for 2 added up super fast but it was well worth it. I'll be dreaming of that sandwich til my next visit!

I ordered the mahi mahi tacos, and while they tasted ok, the portion size felt pretty small for the price. Overall, it came across as a bit overpriced for what you get. The service style is more casual and self-directed. You order and pay at the register, get a number, and then find your own seat while they bring the food out to you. Water is self-serve, and once you're done with your meal, you just head out. There's minimal interaction with staff, which might appeal to people who prefer a more low-key, independent dining experience or want a place to sit and work without being interrupted. That said, the service did not feel very friendly or welcoming. And personally, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.

The staff was able to get a big table for our group right next to the window so we can enjoy the Calle Ocho people watching as well. This was a continuation of my recovery Sunday, and I'm glad that the menu had a larger variety than the previous stop. Our server started by bringing us complementary perfectly crispy chips and both green and red salsa. The red one, my favorite, was nicely spicy. The cochinita pibil order, garnished with pickled red onions, came out first as well as a delicious queso fundído I got to sample. My order was a very generous plate of chicken fajitas, with red refried beans and grilled veggies. Amplified by the salsa & pico, it was well flavored and sizeable enough that it can be had for takeout. As far as something, sweet, I had their batido de trigo (puffed wheat shake). It was refreshing and not excessively sweet. I definitely recommend this place!

Having stayed till closing of two music week events the prior to evenings, this was in my mind a great recovery meal. Despite the name, this restaurant is not just Mexican, but actually fusion with Uruguayan cuisine. The main courses focused on that area, and the tacos had a lot of exotica such as ear and tongue. Given my preferences, and my stomach, the only basic options that I would get were there Al Pastor and chicken tacos, five dollars each. The menu said that they had alcohol, but apparently not on that week, supposedly for some bureaucratic issue. The tacos were served with just the tortilla and the meat, along with a basket of fixings, such as cilantro and line. No complaints of the food really, the tacos were actually well seasoned and for my taste buds made even better with the hot sauce that left a yummy after burn. When I went to the bathroom, the handle on the door was damaged. Besides that, in the end I was not feeling the place especially that there was a mandatory gratuity.
