Today I went to two Marshalls. I just had to stock up. Plus, a lover of soap, like me, got to the first one before me and only left three bars. I didn't see my creamy Goat Milk soap. Personally I rarely shop here but I can't resist some of their grocery items since they have a wide variety of store brands that offer things you can't get elsewhere. For instance, I've been looking for their seasonal strawberry whipped cream at many of the stores since it's perfect for Valentine's Day, but I've struck out for weeks until going to the Round Rock location. This particular one has been around for decades and looks dated although they've remodeled the inside. The location is convenient right at I-35 and the 45 toll road, and it's just across the street from Walmart with a traffic signal between the two of you need to shop at both. While this is an old, smaller location it seems to have a fine selection like the other stores, so I like shopping there for seasonal things, although they have everything you need from clothing to groceries to toys and home goods. One last tip: use their app and they'll give you 1% back to use on future purchases. And they have free wifi!

There was no accommodation, rescheduling priority, or compensation, despite the inconvenience and financial loss. The cost of the makeup alone exceeded the price of the photo shoot, making this experience especially frustrating. Scheduling and staffing issues happen, but when clients invest time, money, and careful coordination for a meaningful moment, better accountability and customer care are expected.

Weird smell. I felt like I couldn't peruse at my leisure because there were so many employees around talking to each other. There was a female employee staring at me as I walked into her bra section, and only after I said hi did she say hi back. I didn't feel comfortable there, and then a male employee came over ~to the bra section~ and they started laughing and talking together. I just left. I did find 2 pairs of pants that were on such a hefty sale that I only spent $20 for both, but I really don't think it was worth the terrible experience.

Once inside you'll notice it is well lit, cool and very well merchandised. At the back of the store, there is the "above five dollar" section where you will find electronics and accessories. They have a large toy section and plenty of T-shirts along with some indoor footwear. They have a small arts and crafts selection, but not much in the way of home decor. I paid with 100 dollar (completely real -- straight from bank)). But they took one look at me and saw me realizing I am normally pale skin and my nails are fake with my hair in a messy bun black adidas crop hoodie and with Versace sunglasses on top of my head. I very much could have been classified as a "tan Barbie." Just all around not cool unfair to profile me the way they did. First at self check out the manager fondles every single item in my cart. Then he lets me go. Seeing I didn't steal a thing.But then the black security guard stops me and finger effed my stuff too. I told him "I was like bro ur homie in self checkout already did this now I just feel this is harassment and y'all be profiling me.." his reply The rent a cop shook his head at me and then said to me I haven't lived being profiled or wouldn't even begin to understand profiling if it came and said what's up. I grabbed about 10 packages and all of them had expired back in April of 2024!!!! I started looking at random things only to find more expired goods. Check your dates on EVERYTHING!!! This Rack location has a decent selection. Most recently went shoe shopping with my boyfriend and he found exactly what he needed. Sometimes the store seems a little messy and chaotic with merchandise not displayed properly. It seems customers and employees just kind of let merchandise get tossed about. Other than that, good place to shop for better quality clothing and accessories at discounted prices.

It's technically floor length, but I'm 5'10" so it stops at the ankle instead of covering my feet. So now the shoes have to be stunning enough that no one will even notice the hemline. I ordered a pair on Amazon that were supposed to arrive Friday. Then I got the dreaded update that they were delayed to Saturday... at 10 PM. Well, that's not going to work. So I made the mad dash to Nordstrom Rack Saturday morning. I walked in with low expectations, fully prepared to hit multiple stores before finding anything close to what I needed. Instead, I found the most gorgeous Badgley Mischka crystal pumps. They're slightly bigger than my normal size, but that actually works in my favor. They're comfortable, my toes can move, and I can already tell I won't be plotting my escape from them halfway through the evening. While I was there I grabbed a strapless bra and even found a formal bag that works better than the clutch I originally planned to carry. Sibyl at checkout was the perfect finishing touch to my morning. Friendly, outgoing, and genuinely helpful. The whole experience felt like the Nordstrom culture of service I studied back in graduate school.

This bank or public holiday, December 26, is celebrated the day after Christmas. It originated in the United Kingdom and we learned about it when we lived in Bellevue, WA. Historically, it was a day when wealthy families gave boxes of gifts, or money to those in need. Churches also collected donations and distributed them to the poor. I first popped into Dillard's to see if they had wildly awesome items to purchase...on sale. Dillard's had a wide variety of items to select from at reasonable prices....clothing, shoes, purses, nightwear, holiday items, etc. I did not find anything that tickled my fancy, so I moved on to plan B...store #2. Every department I visited had an extremely helpful sales associate eager to help you.

I donated a lot this summer and I'm starting fresh again. I tried on a few outfits, but didn't really love anything. Cashmere sweaters were not very soft. The price was decent, but I would want a softer touch for the price they were asking. Just wasn't a hit for me this time.
