Costco overall has become a "glorified warehouse". They are not friendly and act very entitled. Membership is all that matters to them..and the employees attitude is snobby. Checkout and getting put the door is always difficult, and you feel like you're a "bother" and a criminal after spending big money! 30 years with Sam's Club..and they are friendly, helpful, and make in store processes easy. Camera's at the exit and easy exit process. No need to scan a card coming in, and simple things like gas prices visible on the wall and outside by the pumps. My Costco, you are dangerously exciting. I love wandering your aisles and finding products that are not found anywhere else, to try out, to sample, to have. Yes, I'm guilty with filling up my carts, and rolling them out fully stacked. You will never find me with just one thing. You are definitely mind playing me into 'add to cart' with your sales. The croissants, water, coffee, shampoo, supplements, snacks, frozen items, fish and pork are favorites and are valuable. And there is this online Costco group that shares their findings at other Costco's are also guilty with hyping with new finds. My daughter made it a task to find the Dubai chocolates on the next trip (like a scavenger hunt) and then to find them close to check out by the snacks, well done. Gotta update! Now that we live in the area, we got a Costco executive membership since we needed a washer/dryer and new tires. Both were $20-$40 cheaper than comparable items at other stores (make sure to account for installation fees + lesser warranties at normal stores when comparing), plus the 2% cash back basically pays for the membership over the year. We've saved a ton on the kiddo's birthday party by getting Costco pizzas, and with a household averaging five, buying in bulk actually makes sense now. Regular groceries are still from HEB, Desi groceries from Desi Brothers, but for water, oil, paper towels, toilet paper, milk, eggs, and bulk snacks, Costco is the go-to. Service has been mostly excellent. The crowd can be frustrating. Lots of people cutting in line, not waiting their turn, zero concept of personal space. It gets old, and I salute the workers because I don't think I'd have the patience for it. And oh yeah how can I forget... Costco gas! Quite frankly this review is long over due. ive experienced a plethora of issues over the past 3 months with costco. I went into the food court to order a whole pizza, it took almost TWO HOURS to come out only to find out the lady i was asking put it in the pizza warmers above the display with the slices ect. and when i became frustrated she left to lunch. i have witnessed employees arguing and being so ugly towards costumers just asking them a question even when they are asking calm and kindly. the displays at Costco have become so compact and you are unable to move the entire cart around the isles i'm either hitting a person or a display. My experience today was very off putting and honestly ridiculous. My mother and i were shopping around towards the back and saw the toaster grill cheese samples. we waited for a few minutes and noticed that the sampler was hovering over the grilled cheese with her hands practically covering it and looking aimlessly around. After just standing there we walked away and she immediately started cutting the grilled cheese and handed it off to everyone and when we noticed we walked back and she BURNT the next grill cheese to where it wasn't even edible at that point. we understand it is busy and chaotic most times but that was ridiculous. This goes for all Costco's to not assume buying bulk is a bargain. check pricing by the ounce, pound, each, etc. to your local grocery store like HEB. Many times Costco is more expensive. In addition is a comment about the employees. I have had great experience with them when asking about where something is or if they can help with whatever BUT they are never knowledgeable about the products when it is in the area they are working. That's okay they do not have to know everything but just say I am not sure. Examples: Spiral hams I asked if they would get more in for Christmas and it was not these expire Jan 2nd so you better buy them now or they will be gone - not true. Then I asked about clams and the guy said no one eats clams this time of year. NO, stuffed clams and cioppino are a holiday dish. Central market has them. Then earlier in 2023 I asked where the parchment paper and he said we only get it in before the holidays, so we won't have any more in stock. NO, I buy it here all the time year round. Beware when you walk in time stops... all of a sudden you've been here for hours, your on your 3rd cart full of bulk special buys... and you have eaten a full 20 course meal of samples. You'll be thinking... what happened... I just came in to get a bottle of wine... I have to learn to go in and only get exactly what I want! Wandering around looking at what they have will only cause me to go broke! I mean the stuff you'll find... who doesn't need a 20lbs bag of dried mango or 200 rolls of toilet paper in one package? Customer service at this store is lacking to be desired. I went for a few items and had a rebate coupon. I wasn't aware you can't redeem it at a self checkout. They're response is it tells you the electronic payments you can use. Well the rebate coupon has a bar code on it, that's electronic to me. Completely make you feel like an idiot. Customer service converted the rebate coupon to a gift card, but refused to re-ring my order. I don't but stuff there often so I should have just had her refund my entire order and cancel my membership. read more

My wife and I have shopped this location for a few years now and we prefer it to the location off of 183. We decided to go now that the mask mandate has been lifted and we noticed that about a third of the customers were not wearing masks including one or two employees. This was a great sign where things are slowly getting back to normal and yes we were both vaccinated. On weekends it gets pretty darn busy which is why we shop during the weekdays when you can get in and out fairly quickly. I read through many of the reviews about this location and I have to admit I have not had a problem with customer service whatsoever in the several years that we've been coming here. I will agree with one person's review that the rotisserie chicken sometimes is not cooked all the way through. Recently they came out with some Korean style riblets that you must cook yourself and I have to admit they are terrible. One other issue I have is that I would've bought tires from this location but there is never anyone at the counter to inquire for an estimate. As a result discount tire gets my business. One thing that has consistently bothered me is the fact that they will not sell you one tray of muffins, you must buy two for $7.99. If they sold them by the single tray I would definitely buy them every single visit but they don't, so I only occasionally will buy two for that price. And on today's visit I did not buy any (if they had those raspberry lemon ones I would have bought two, but they didn't). They have a decent meat selection and their prices are not too bad. They do carry a lot of high-end scallops, crab legs and lobster so I assume they must have a fairly regular customer for those items. If you were in need of a quick bite to eat, I have to admit their food court offerings are pretty decent for the price. The one thing that keeps us coming back of course is that they always have something new coming down the pipeline not to mention the sales they have on their regular items every other month or so. They do have a liquor store located right next-door which you do not need a Costco card for. The pricing that they have on those items is very competitive and equivalent to what Specs would sell for. Keep in mind the TABC does allow for you to purchase wine and beer inside of Costco without a member card. I know this because I work in the same business. One thing I've noticed is that I never get out of there for less than $100. Today we hit the $200 mark. We will be back in the next two weeks spending about the same. read more

Before this, I have only seen people this dismissive of customers at government jobs and I can't figure this out. I shop at Costco a LOT. I have never had to deal with a cashier at any location being a condescending or rude. Here, I almost expect it. It is so common I have to prepare before I go to check out. Also, having one cashier pause so he can yell directions to people waiting doesn't help. Nobody needs to be yelled at. They will find a cashier. I guarantee that. This is my favorite Costco in the area. Parking lot is always packed, but still seems less busy than the N Austin location once inside the store. The selection seems to be better than the North Austin location for most items. This location carries the dog food I use whereas the N Austin location does not, nor the puppy food. Seems weird to me. The gas station totally kicks Austin's butt. I swear it's twice the size and I have never seen the traffic jam/parking lot scenario that one has in Austin. Pumps galore. Maybe twice or even 3x as many. No waiting. The optical dept is also very good. Again, less waiting than in Austin. read more

I gave these three stars because I love Costco as a company. A few years ago this Pflugerville location was my store, I moved to cedar park and learned what a great store looked like. I spent (no-joke) 10 minutes in line to get out of the store because the people checking receipts were extremely slow. I understand asset protection but this was noticeably slow as the line went to the registers. Outside of that, it took 20 minutes to find the baby formula (I know this is a specific problem but irritating) since it wasn't in the same location as the other Costcos. The checkout line had one or two people yelling "lunch break! Lunch break!" that made the process slow for sure. As mentioned above I love Costco as a company. They treat their employees well, they're affordable and usually easy to navigate, this location just needs help getting people through. read more

Nice location with easy in and out just off the 130 Toll Road and Kelly Lane in Pflugerville. They offer your typical Costco items and they have a tire center as well. They also have a liquor store off to the side but I didn't get to check it out. I thinks it's a separate store but I'm not a hundred percent sure. You have to be a member to shop here, but the membership is worth the savings and selection. read more

It's nice to have a wholesale store close to home. The facility looks like any other Costco facility you have been to. Very organized and clean. Their produce and dairy sections are well maintained and kept cool so the veggies don't go bad fast. There are no signs where things are located but after a few times if this is your first time to a Costco you will get the hang of it and won't need directions. Price comparison to Sam's Club they are pretty much identical or costs $1 more than the other. Other than that it depends what you prefer. Memberships are Gold Star regular and Gold Star executive. $60 for regular and $120 for executive memberships. They have an optical and pharmacy here. Their WB liquor store doesn't require a membership so check that place out for great deals. They are definitely competitive then most liquor stores in the area. read more
