This is clearly the nicest Dollar Tree I've ever been in. The assortment of items included in this store are things of value, things that should cost way more than $1.25! Such as Tide laundry soap, artificial flowers, Ty beanie babies; bought five of those for my granddaughter at $1.25 each! Can't beat that! I bought about 50 items today. I bought wonderful gift boxes and other wrapping supplies. They had canned food and refrigerated food. They had cleaning supplies. They had toys. They had Hallmark greeting cards, 2 for $1.00! Sheesh, why go anywhere else for cards!? These were quality cards. The store is clean. The shelves are stocked. The girl who checked me out was kind and helpful. I will be back! I go here regularly, so much so that most of the employees greet me by name. By far the cleanest, most organized dollar tree I've ever been to. Even in spite of those parents that turn their little ones loose to scream, run and take every toy off the shelves and leave them in the aisles. Jennifer (one of the managers) has helped me out on numerous occasions. Dolly is wonderful, as are 99.9% of the other employees. Mom and I are visiting the area for a few days of vacation, and she wanted to shop here for a few odds and ends. The store seemed clean, well-maintained, and organized for the most part. Ok,I stopped going here often when the prices went up ect ect. I go in here or there to get those few things that you just should go here to get. I went through getting my fill of the store, looking at random new to me items and getting the few things I needed, cutting board sheets, cards and sink screen catchers, looked passed the pens, activity books and holiday decorations but heres the best part of this experience......the checkout, I mean the lady working there at checkout, receipt name says "Patrice". She was incredible, she was kind, sweet and genuine in what she said to me. I was having a tough day on all levels, maybe she sensed that or she is just a beautiful person that gets it. Somehow, she easily used her words to express to me that all it takes is a moment, a few words of encourgament to make someones whole day and better yet feel visible in a very invisible world. Her words meant a lot to me in that moment and here I am sharing it.....hoping that others who read this may know that kindness comes in many forms, and it can be spread anywhere and anytime, and you just don't realize what that impact can do to someone. read more

I love Dollar Tree. Protips: go around holidays... especially Mother's Day and Christmas for the cutest gift wrap, boxes, ribbons and embellishments ever. Be prepared to look around. Things change quickly. Look closely at what you're buying. Some minor defects aren't uncommon and buyer's remorse later is real. ;) For Party goods, gift wrap and consumables, the prices can't be beat. Hall's Cough Drops. I always grab some if available. There is an off brand that are very good tasting and soothing too. Greeting cards. Thank you cards. I stock up on assorted cards (blank inside) so I always have a card when I need one. For the most part, I am happy with my purchases there. Won't buy aluminum foil again if I actually want to use it for cooking. Today I came today this location in search of greeting cards. While I found what I was looking for, this location always seems to be short staffed and unkempt. It took me 20 minutes to check out today with 3 cashiers working. Two cashiers in the line that I was not in the queue for spent most of their time blowing up balloons for consumers. When I was here today while this was occurring, there was a manager who was in the back office who kept peaking their head out without offering assistance even with such long queues. From an outside perspective, if a manager has the capacity to see what is going on with the sales floor s/he should assist in times like this. At the very least, the manager could have blown up the balloons while the cashiers continued to assist the other customers. This location always seems to have some type of customer facing issue each time I am here. read more

If I could put a -1 in this location I would today November 22 I had a terrible experience with the night manager named Melinda she was rude and disrespectful I was waiting for about 15 min to pay for my things and I asked if they had some balloons I wanted and her response was "I don't know if we have it but we're to busy I can't sell you them" she didn't even tell me to wait she just told me no. She couldn't give me 2 minutes to fill up balloons that I WAS GOING TO BUY. I was asking her why she couldn't sell them to me and she said " well I'm tired of this I'm not going to sell you them" She also told me to leave and said she was going to call the police and cancel my payment she was screaming in front of the customers she's was racist why do they have these type of people working as managers who threaten customers to call the police only because of their appearance I was not doing anything to her to receive this treatment. read more

You have to love a store where you can get 4 rolls of toilet paper for a $1. I'll work that out for you and that is like 27 cents a roll y'all (after tax). And given that my son uses about 35 cents worth every time he even looks at a bathroom, this place is a must for me. And if you are in high school and reading this, I already know you have figured out you can wrap your crush's house for a clean $3.57. That's 30 minutes of car hop tips I just saved you from misspending. This place is clean, well organized and is always well stocked on holiday items like blinking shamrock necklaces you just can't live without. My kids love coming here for the toy aisle where they go on mini-shopping sprees. And for a single mom, that's a huge plus in my book. This is also the only place I will buy aluminum foil. This Dollar is ghetto. It is sad because they are in a great location. The one old lady that is a manager was very condisending to an employee out loud. "you do it because i said to" attitude. They close the restroom an hour before closing and let you know as soon as you walk in that they are closed. I get that you have to stay and clean however that is your job that is what you get paid for. They do their closing announcements an hour before closing. I get you want to get home and get to your family, but saying you will be closing in 1 hour does not make me move faster. It just makes me know i have 1 hour left. Not to mention that they are off by 10 min from actaul closing time. The employee's are rude as they act like they are so tired and they have no other place to work so they are just putting up with it until they finally explode and quit. I understand it is the dollar tree, however it is a job and it isn't like your getting paid a dollar an hour. Spent about 30 minuets picking up items for my classroom sensory bottles along with some miscellaneous items. Get to the register and I'm waiting for the cashier to finish scanning 25+ balloons individually and a few other items. I'm chatting with my kids and glancing up to see when it's our turn. Seriously the biggest and most well stocked dollar store I have ever been to. But 2 specific employees make the shopping experience super uncomfortable. I make photo booths for my job and frequent this dollar store about 3 times a month, sometimes more frequently. And every time I have interactions with one, if not both of these employees. I just left, picking up some Christmas photo booth props, and felt like it was worth writing a review over. The older lady was very rude. I was looking for a specific kind of toy, so I was digging through the disorganized stuffed animal bin looking for what I needed. She rudely stood next to me and kept clearing her throat. I figured she wasn't directing it at me because I was not in her way nor was I messing something up. Of course she was talking to me and asked me to move so she could move the bin. It wasn't what she did, it was one of those situations where it was how she did it. Left a bad taste in my mouth and I decided to just check out. Good thing I didn't go to her register, because I have, on many occasions, heard her cussing when she sees someone at her register. Anyway. I get to the register and an African American woman was checking me out. As she starts to scan my items she GETS IN A FIGHT with a customer that was standing behind her at the next register. I don't know if he accidentally touched her or got in her "bubble" but holy crap. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. She was literally yelling at this customer while I was trying to pay. Dollar tree 1150 N IH 35 round Rock TX 78681. I came into the store and was shocked at how much it has gone down. It was disgusting. The shelves were basically empty. I spent $56.00 that day on cleaning supplies. When I tell you the cashier was RUDE . Deborah if someone has a basketful of items and you are pissed they haven't taken bags off of your counter because you need room give the customer time to get their items out of the basket. Deborah say thank you when someone spends money in your store. You were very friendly to your coworkers show that same energy to the customers. I usually have great experiences with this store maybe it's new management or cashiers but some serious customer service needs to be initiated immediately. read more

I went in yesterday around 5pm and found 2 ghost that you hang outside. I had a nice conversation with the clerk and she said she had hung them on one aisle cause she didn't have a spot for them. I bought some artificial flowers and drove all the way home. When I got there the ghosts weren't in the bags. I tried calling 2 numbers for this location from 5:30-8pm with no answer. I went by to get the ghosts just to find out they put them back up for sale. Sure enough someone bought them. I was dumfounded and upset that they sold an already purchased item less than 24 hours later. I asked why no one answered the phone and she said an employee stole it a month ago and the District Manager hadn't purchased another. I then pulled out the receipt and she told me no refunds. Seriously??? I never took ownership since she didn't pack them. I realize it's less that $3, but it's awful the way this was treated. If you're going to use Dollar Tree, I would use one of the other two locations in Round Rock. read more

Props on having everything very well stocked, but would it hurt to hire employees with some common sense?!! We needed a large amount of mason jar mugs and this was the only location with any. After paying, the cashier said they had nothing to wrap them in and we could just take them out to the car in the basket. Seriously??? Like every one else I love a good deal...and $1 for every thing in the store is a steal. But there a a few people that work there that make it a nasty place to spend my hard earned money. I won't mention names but they really need to train their emloyees a thing or two about how to carry themselves in the work place. I have heard a few of the girls argue about petty stuff and to me that is just tacky! I know it's not the "high end" type of store, but I still would like a good experience to make me want to keep coming back...and right now, I'd rather drive to Cedar Park and enjoy my shopping experience rather then listen to the employees bicker over who has to refill the soda machines. read more

I have been shopping at the Dollar Tree in Frontage Road, Round Rock since it opened. I usually go there at least once a month, in the mornings. I love the people there, some of them know my name and they always welcome me to the store, even the people that fills up the shelves are very nice and helpful. Love this Dollar Store! It has the best inventory than other Dollar stores around. Their frozen section is always stocked. Bread and cleaning supplies at $1 is a steal. Great selection on school supplies too. I can always run here for a quick in and out! read more
