Here is a clearer, more polished rewrite that keeps your honest tone but improves flow and…read morereadability: I have visited the new expanded location several times now. There are some things the store does very well, and some areas that are clearly struggling. First, the space is much larger than the previous location. There is plenty of room for merchandise, and they seem to have many kind volunteers working there. The furniture and home goods section is organized fairly well. However, the shelves are extremely packed with merchandise, which may be related to the pricing. Many items feel overpriced for a community thrift store, which likely slows down how quickly things move off the shelves. The layout is also a bit confusing. It almost feels like two completely separate stores. Furniture and home goods are on one side, while clothing is in a different area. What makes it more unusual is that you cannot pay for clothing on the home goods side, or home goods on the clothing side. You also have to go outside to enter each section. It seems like this setup requires twice as many volunteers and makes the shopping experience less convenient. The pricing on the clothing side is actually very good, but the organization is quite poor. I found high-end men's shirts, such as Brooks Brothers, mixed in with women's clothing. There were several other similar examples of items being misplaced, which made browsing more difficult. I have visited multiple times before writing this review because I hoped that, after the expansion, the shopping experience would improve. Unfortunately, the store actually felt more organized in its old location than it does now.

That in itself told me that one hand knows what the other is doing, and it's obviously really organized. Second, when we went in the thrift store side, it smelled clean. On that side, they were super nice too, and my eBay purchase pick up was super smooth. Purchases that you make their go toward providing food for people who need services from the food pantry. Even the eBay purchases go toward that. I feel better about a purchase if something good comes out of it for somebody else too. That's important to me and my family. I highly recommend this essential part of the community!

One star off bc our cashier, who was young and brand new was kind of apathetic when I asked her a question she didn't know the answer to. I got a "I dunno... it's literally my third day. You'll have to ask my manager".... instead of getting her manager. mkaaay... So after an awkward silence, I pointed out an older woman whom I saw walking around and opening dressing rooms, asked if that was her manager, and THEN she called her over so I could get my question resolved. My husband and I complained about her to each other on the way out. besides that, good experience. Would return.

I have visited this store many times and have always enjoyed shopping here. I love finding unique…read moreclothing and trinkets, and until recently my experiences have always been positive. Over the past couple of months, however, I have noticed what appears to be a change in management at this location. The current manager is often rude not only to customers but especially to employees. On multiple occasions, I have witnessed him publicly reprimanding employees in front of customers, and when calling for staff members, his tone is frequently aggressive and unnecessarily loud. What makes this particularly unfortunate is that the employees themselves are consistently kind, helpful, efficient, and seem to do an excellent job. They are always quick to assist customers and contribute greatly to the positive atmosphere of the store. It is disappointing to see them treated in a manner that appears disrespectful and unprofessional. Despite these concerns, I still enjoy shopping at this store and would recommend it for its reasonably priced clothing, accessories, and unique finds. My hope is that management will take steps to foster a more respectful and supportive environment for both employees and customers.

Then claimed that they pay at least a third of the value. Last time I checked $22 is not a third of $200+ $8 for $100+ nikes? But yet everything in the place is priced high for used items. I understand businesses have to make a living but that was pathetic. Someone needs to look into who is buying and pricing the items.

There can be decent finds (though my most recent purchase was a toy with a corroded battery compartment and another missing a piece so that's a bummer), and there can be great prices depending on the day. There can also be outrageous prices for things! But still, a good place to hunt a find. However, things have really shifted for the worse lately. There is lots more furniture, but prices are WILD for what it is. There are many people hanging around changing in the center of walkways or sitting around with their dogs and cats not shopping. And inventory definitely isn't what it used to be-- lots of broken things or stinky items. The worst though lately was an EMPLOYEE who shushed my baby like 4 times for screeching (like babies do) when he got excited and then told me "he's so annoying. Make him be quiet." Can I say inappropriate? Also, like you are 80, did you not have kids or experience them? Girl. Your attitude needs to go in the donation bin. Jeez. It takes the same effort to be kind especially when I'm already wrangling him and another. I told one of the other workers up front kindly that it felt inappropriate and she literally laughed at me and kept ringing me up. Whew. Anyways, that makes me definitely not want to take the extra trip! I still think there can be good finds and appreciate what they are doing in part for the community, but I won't be making the effort to support or recommend it anymore. I sure hope it changes in the future! We really used to love going there!

I have purchased and donated thousands of dollars in merchandise, because of its close vicinity, their reasonable retail prices...and their great employees! Goodwill has been my go-to since I was a little kid needing second-hand school clothes in East Austin. But.... After 60+ years, I've decided to cut back considerably on my shopping and donating to Goodwill. Goodwill has gotten greedy. They have decided that donations receivced-at no cost-will now go through a "fair market pricing" system. In other words, more dollars for my donations: Rising Thrift Store Prices Have Some Donors Rethinking Goodwill - https://share.google/JX3vS9hdqUJp0eEKS Yeah, I know the cost of everything has increased, but 'jacking up the prices of donations that cost you NOTHING is downright immoral. I suggest reviewing the overhead of your business (executive salaries, property rental/leases, etc) to cut the corporate "fat". There used to be a bid area in all stores where more 'valuable' donations brought a much higher value than normal retail. But for some reason, this process has dissapeared... Trust me: increasing resale prices across the entire store ain't a good move! You've lost my business already!!

For more than half of my time in the store I continuously had multiple workers staring me down, and then two just following me around multiple times which gives me the feeling that I'm being looked at like I'm going to steal. This normally wouldn't bother me because I'm not a thief but it bothers me because I've given zero reason for anyone to be looking at me or following me like this. It creates a nasty narrative, and a hostile environment. Until you've been given a reason to need to follow someone, don't... I'm an indecisive person, but I'm also a gay male in a thrift store playing gospel music, so it's bad enough I already feel like I'm not wanted here but to follow me around and look at me while talking to co workers multiple times doesn't put a good feeling on a customer. And there's a chance that maybe this wasn't the case but I'd be an easy target. There's not a huge selection of men's clothes or shoes and if there is it's mixed up with the women's so I look in ever aisle and I feel like I got stares because I was in the women's aisles but there was a plethora of women's things in the men's aisle so maybe they just need to reorganize? The prices on some things seems incredibly capitalist, I see a whole couch for $19.99 which is a great price, but then I'm looking at a pair of shoes for $24.... Where's the relief in that LOL I have to admit they have some pretty good items, but the prices seem greedy. I don't know how much of the proceeds go to disaster relief but if it's not 100% then it seems pretty disturbing, prices are getting to be like Goodwills and there's no good will in that ‍ All in all, this truly is a great store but this was not a good experience for me so I may seek another store.
