My three wheeled cart full of treasures.
    Laura K.

This was my first time to the Goodwill Outlet. So I really didn't know what to expect. Staff or friendly and helpful, but they didn't mind explaining the rules and how things work. They were also helpful at checkout, since I wasn't sure what to do there either. A young man was training a young lady and they were both so kind to me. I found some true gems looking through the bins. I will say you do have to be careful when they let people advance to the new bins, a lot of hustle and bustle and elbows. As another commenter stated there were many bins with broken glass wine glasses, candleholders, candle jars, etc. mixed in the bottom with some of the clothes and HomeGoods. There is a bins at the front with glassware, but that didn't have much in it. I found some great toys, shoes, clothing and household items. I forgot to bring my shopping bags inside with me, but it was okay for me to take the shopping cart to the car. The only janky part was the shopping carts. Some were missing wheels (I had a 3 wheeler, only one front wheel). The other carts simply didn't roll. There were families there with 8-10 carts. Several people would rush the bins, another couple would guard their carts. Having that many carts seems excessive - I would suggest GW think of a better arrangement. It was nice there were tables to sit and take a break, along with several coolers with cold drinks and snacks. It was nice to get a soda for the drive home. I will definitely go back again.

In case you didn't know already, this Goodwill location varies greatly from your typical Goodwill. If you are coming here, you better bring a good pair of utility gloves to dig through all the debris in the shallow bins they wheel out. I hate to say it, but there has been many times I have come face-to-face with broken glass in those bins and if you're not careful, you can definitely get badly cut. It's basically a free-for-all when the new bins are pushed out and everyone is allowed to walk to them as fast as possible once they waive the proverbial flag. If you don't mind shuffling through a bunch of junk looking for buried treasure shoulder to shoulder with everyone else while breathing dust and allergens, then this unique thrifting experience unlike any other is for you. And yes, it might actually be a good idea to bring a dust mask. Some of these folks seem to stay most of the day, so they bring a lunch and sit at one of four picnic tables off to the side, where drinks are sold. They do have bathrooms here, but no dressing rooms and they even have a microwave for your lunchtime convenience. Sometimes at one side of the building, you will find furniture for sale. During those times of intermission, you'll see people and their shopping carts along the perimeter looking through items to either keep or discard. When it's time to check out, which may take a while, you'll either be charged by the weight of the items or quantity depending on what it is. There would be more pictures here, but as the rules below state, "no photography allowed". Plenty of parking!

Wheel with no rubber. Then outer plastic falls off next.

I've been visiting the GW bins on a regular basis. There are things I like & dislike. Here is the Good & Bad. BAD 1) The carts suck. Most of them don't even have any rubber left on the wheels. You are actually rolling around on the plastic rims. 2) Carts again. If you get there after 9:30 am you probably won't find a cart. All of the carts are hogged by the regulars. They literally have 4 or 5 carts each. 3) Little kids under 12 yrs old shopping in the bins. 5-6 yrs olds w/hands in the bins is dangerous cause there is usually broken glass in them. And the parent is not around. 4) Puzzles- Charged by weight. Multiple boxes can be heavy and you are taking a chance that all the pieces are there. Should be more like the books at (5/.99) 5) The new bin line up behind the line. Beware of getting knocked over. GOOD 1) You can stock up on new seasonal items. There is usually a store donation of left over new seasonal items. 2) Availability of vintage items. You can see where whole grandma/grandpa's house clean outs have been done. 3) Designer clothes/shoes. Gotta dig but they are there. Note: You will have to hunt for a complete pair. 4) books/DVDs/CDs -Usually a lot to choose from. Don't forget to bring some gloves when you come cause you will need them.

Waiting on any row of bins to finally be swapped out.

You can find some good stuff for cheap, but be ready to wait. Most of the employees move really slow, have attitude when asked a question, and are on their phones half the time. They also walk around with their masks around their chins while passing customers. I would recommend being here right when they open and then leave. Otherwise you'll be waiting for a century before they swap out a row of bins.

This is the young lady they stole the $94 dollars from.
    James D.

They threw away our stuff when we were told they could hold it for us. It was $94 worth of stuff and they wouldn't even give me store credit, my girl comes at least 4 times a week and they still were not willing to give us the store credit. The assistant GM would not help, we spent hours picking out the stuff a second day thinking we had store credit. Now that's two days wasted and they lost a loyal customer for life.

wear gloves theres cool stuff tho i think the pros do in fact outweigh the cons- will be serving with these clothes dont worry i still will be going and buying stuff

A fellow thrifter told us about this location so we had to come check it out. We picked up 2 books, 5 puzzles and a cat castle/tent/toy....we spent a grand total of $3.24, this place looks like a giant open warehouse and all their goods are in big bins.

There are some things the store does very well, and some areas that are clearly struggling. First, the space is much larger than the previous location. There is plenty of room for merchandise, and they seem to have many kind volunteers working there. The furniture and home goods section is organized fairly well. However, the shelves are extremely packed with merchandise, which may be related to the pricing. Many items feel overpriced for a community thrift store, which likely slows down how quickly things move off the shelves. The layout is also a bit confusing. It almost feels like two completely separate stores. Furniture and home goods are on one side, while clothing is in a different area. What makes it more unusual is that you cannot pay for clothing on the home goods side, or home goods on the clothing side. You also have to go outside to enter each section. It seems like this setup requires twice as many volunteers and makes the shopping experience less convenient. The pricing on the clothing side is actually very good, but the organization is quite poor. I found high-end men's shirts, such as Brooks Brothers, mixed in with women's clothing. There were several other similar examples of items being misplaced, which made browsing more difficult. I have visited multiple times before writing this review because I hoped that, after the expansion, the shopping experience would improve. Unfortunately, the store actually felt more organized in its old location than it does now.

That in itself told me that one hand knows what the other is doing, and it's obviously really organized. Second, when we went in the thrift store side, it smelled clean. On that side, they were super nice too, and my eBay purchase pick up was super smooth. Purchases that you make their go toward providing food for people who need services from the food pantry. Even the eBay purchases go toward that. I feel better about a purchase if something good comes out of it for somebody else too. That's important to me and my family. I highly recommend this essential part of the community!
