The owner was a sweet person and very nice to talk to as well. Also, the place is clean and carpeted, and a much nicer experience than the other business I had in mind to stop at. Notes: -due to street corner traffic, park on the side or behind the building. You will find getting out to be much easier. -there is a vendor in the rear who chooses to play canned inspirational religious music. Wouldn't I wouldn't mind, but I found the quality of the music to be similar to muzak elevator music. It would be nice to see this person update their musical repertoire. Their selection of clothing items is small but their prices are always low. All of their kids clothes are $2 each item and their baby clothes are only $1 each. I've shopped at other thrift stores before where I might pay $6 for a pair of kid's jeans so I love that the prices here are so low but the quality is similar. I haven't seen anything in their store that is stained or ripped. This is definitely a gently used clothing store. They also have some nicer boutique items that are a little more expensive but still priced well. If you don't see something you like one day be sure and check back the next because their stock changes daily. I just picked up 5 pairs of capris/shorts for my 8 and 9 year old daughter's there yesterday and a t-shirt for my little guy and paid only $11 for everything. They also have a furniture store in the same building but that has a different entrance that I haven't been inside yet but am excited to check out. Yesterday I saw lots of kid's bikes outside at great low prices. There are some things the store does very well, and some areas that are clearly struggling. First, the space is much larger than the previous location. There is plenty of room for merchandise, and they seem to have many kind volunteers working there. The furniture and home goods section is organized fairly well. However, the shelves are extremely packed with merchandise, which may be related to the pricing. Many items feel overpriced for a community thrift store, which likely slows down how quickly things move off the shelves. The layout is also a bit confusing. It almost feels like two completely separate stores. Furniture and home goods are on one side, while clothing is in a different area. What makes it more unusual is that you cannot pay for clothing on the home goods side, or home goods on the clothing side. You also have to go outside to enter each section. It seems like this setup requires twice as many volunteers and makes the shopping experience less convenient. The pricing on the clothing side is actually very good, but the organization is quite poor. I found high-end men's shirts, such as Brooks Brothers, mixed in with women's clothing. There were several other similar examples of items being misplaced, which made browsing more difficult. I have visited multiple times before writing this review because I hoped that, after the expansion, the shopping experience would improve. Unfortunately, the store actually felt more organized in its old location than it does now.

They were also helpful at checkout, since I wasn't sure what to do there either. A young man was training a young lady and they were both so kind to me. I found some true gems looking through the bins. I will say you do have to be careful when they let people advance to the new bins, a lot of hustle and bustle and elbows. As another commenter stated there were many bins with broken glass wine glasses, candleholders, candle jars, etc. mixed in the bottom with some of the clothes and HomeGoods. There is a bins at the front with glassware, but that didn't have much in it. I found some great toys, shoes, clothing and household items. I forgot to bring my shopping bags inside with me, but it was okay for me to take the shopping cart to the car. The only janky part was the shopping carts. Some were missing wheels (I had a 3 wheeler, only one front wheel). The other carts simply didn't roll. There were families there with 8-10 carts. Several people would rush the bins, another couple would guard their carts. Having that many carts seems excessive - I would suggest GW think of a better arrangement. It was nice there were tables to sit and take a break, along with several coolers with cold drinks and snacks. It was nice to get a soda for the drive home. I will definitely go back again.

I purchased an item from the Goodwill website Shopgoodwill.com Austin branch. It was a brand new,…read moresealed item and I paid over $300. It was a anti aging device. I picked the item up at the warehouse just off 183. I opened the package and went to charge the item and it did not charge. Nothing lit up. I tried different chargers and usb cables but nothing. Left it to charge over night. No life at all. I contacted the office and was told there is no refund. In all fairness, the ad states it is a used, donated item with no refund. But, this was a new, sealed item. This is just a total ripoff to deny refund on a brand new sealed item. The item number on the shopgoodwill site is 277710025. It states in the title it is SEALED. I then asked them to reconsider but NO. I then went to the 3 top customer service managers who work for Goodwill Industries and received NO RESPONSE after 3 weeks. Obviouly, they just do not care about customers and should not have a position if they just ignore emails from buyers. Again, all 3 of these customer service managers were allowed a week to reply to my inquiry and none have. I started at the top and each week forwarded that email to the next manager, AND included the previous manager in the CC. NO REPLIES!!!!!!
