The prices here are more reasonable than anything you'll find at Goodwill and the selection is better. They also sell furniture and have three fitting rooms. This is definitely a ministry worth donating your items to since they have quite an impact on the local community. Cash, credit/debit, no checks and all sales final. I can understand they want to get more of "the pie", but they don't understand that resellers also have a lot of costs and how much Ebay takes. And when they raise their prices to Ebay level, they aren't taking into consideration that Ebay has MILLIONS of customers a day many looking for that exact item. They basically pushed me out to focus on garage and estate sales, which hurts them. I used to get lots here every week. They get kudos for their community work, but they don't realize resellers HELP them by purchasing large amounts weekly. But me and others don't think they want our business.

What a cool 'hidden find' in the Leander area!…read more It's a bit of a misnomer to call this a 'flea market', but that's a minor point to quibble over. Rather, this is a collection of rather eclectic shops selling mostly used or refurbished items. These range from vintage glass and antique furniture all the way to collectible baseball cards. Everyone I spoke to at one of the stores was friendly and sometimes willing to negotiate a price on an item. I look askance at some of the reviews which claim 'I didn't get a deal'. You have access to the internet, after all. Even on your smart phone. You should be able to find out if the vintage item you're looking for hasn't been cheaply reproduced at Hobby Lobby, Cost Plus or Michael's. The facility still seems to be in development, so a couple notes for folks who may visit close to when I did, in September 2017. 1) The parking lot is a very rough gravel one. Drive slowly and walk carefully, there are ankle-turning rocks here if you wear heels. 2) One of the vendors was having serious issues taking credit cards, so having cash on hand might be a good idea. 3) If you check in on Yelp, there's a free drink offer available at the food trailer. However, there's no food trailer yet - just a well-run inside snack bar. They were kind enough to honor the offer for me, but do them a favor and wait until they get a vendor in before trying to use the coupon. In sum, a definite place to visit if the antique hunting bug strikes!

The one thing I miss the most is Dragon Tails! We were always able to find nice items for me and my adult daughters in our Small, Medium, and Large sizes. Too, for our three grandkids we could find toys, book, clothing and shoes. We were always able to shop with my grandkids in the store. The ladies there are so sweet, and would carry on conversation with my grandson while we shopped. I am going to tell you what is different about this store. Most stores in the Tyler area buy your clothes from you. I do not like that. Those clothes and shoe selections are worn and too high for what they are asking. Dragon Tails is a consignment, and the prices for what I am buying are always better than these other stores. I found them when I came to Burnet when we were there at the square downtown for Christmas, that was in 2022. Since, I have never found a store so organized, great choices, clean clothes that still look great, with exceptional prices. I would give anything to have the owner start up a store in Tyler, Texas. I feel so deprived now because I can't get down there to shop like I used to. The one star someone gave this store, from a customer that was a regular, how sad. Dragon Tails has plenty of returning customers, and from one that doesn't even live in Burnet anymore, this is one store that I am very impressed with.
