If I didn't ask, I wouldn't have found the awesome framed print I took home that day. This place is fantastic. Located in an old (historic) church, next to a large cemetery. It's away from everything, on a large plot of land. Parking is plentiful. There is a restroom available. The inside is meticulously and thematically arranged. You can tell a lot of thought went into this process. The owners have more antiques stored away but they're careful not to overstuff their shop and I appreciate that. It makes for a much more pleasant experience than navigating a tight/cluttered space. It also makes it easier for parents with kids! Onto my next point... Very kid-friendly. My 3-year-old was loose (a mistake since she is out-of-control) but there is plenty of space for a small stroller. Only issue -- there are stairs (old building, remember). So, I'd say walk them up to the front door and them strap them into the stroller. Either way, the owners were totally fine with my toddler running around. They have kids and grandkids and seem to be very understanding. I was still stressed though (plenty of breakable items). The prices are very reasonable here. I got the feeling that they prefer to move volume (and leave customers happy) versus make profit off higher-priced items. I got a great deal on a lovely framed print. I also got the impression that they are totally open to negotiating so if you really love something but it's a bit high in price for you -- just ask! Finally, the owners are extremely friendly and down-to-earth. Ultimately, I'm a huge fan and highly recommend this spot.

There's a lot of pyrex, carnival glass, tools and some metal animals. The owners were really nice and we chatted a bit. We got a good deal on a metal statue. Parking was easy. It's less than 5000 ft.² inside, but it sure packs a lot of unique finds. Seniors get 20% off on Mondays and teachers get 20% off on Saturdays, veterans and active military get 10% off every day. The prices here are more reasonable than anything you'll find at Goodwill and the selection is better. They also sell furniture and have three fitting rooms. This is definitely a ministry worth donating your items to since they have quite an impact on the local community. Cash, credit/debit, no checks and all sales final. Ten informative photos included to get you through the door.

She actually raised the…read moreprice on a $4 item at the cash register to $10 saying it was mismarked and wanted to on a 2nd item too. I can understand they want to get more of "the pie", but they don't understand that resellers also have a lot of costs and how much Ebay takes. And when they raise their prices to Ebay level, they aren't taking into consideration that Ebay has MILLIONS of customers a day many looking for that exact item. They basically pushed me out to focus on garage and estate sales, which hurts them. I used to get lots here every week. They get kudos for their community work, but they don't realize resellers HELP them by purchasing large amounts weekly. But me and others don't think they want our business.

This is a secondary thrift shop run by The Caring Place (their larger main location is on Railroad…read moreAve). Unlike that store, which has a bit of everything including books and clothes, this location only sells home decor. It's located in a residential home which makes for a very pleasant browsing experience. They have a pretty great selection of items. The prices vary (there are some more high-ticket antique objects here). Tuesdays are 10% off so if you're eyeing an expensive item, that's your day. I also noticed that they drop prices so if you're willing to take a risk and wait, keep checking. Restocked regularly. I came two weeks apart and saw a whole bunch of new interesting merchandise. For my fellow parents with small children: The other shop is large and has shopping carts where you can place your kids. This one does not as it's smaller and in a house. However, we were able to navigate just fine with my toddler inside a small umbrella stroller. I wore my baby in a carrier. The staff is very nice.

Calling this place a thrift store is misleading since the prices for everything are more in line with consignment store prices. Everything is well laid out and nicely displayed. The store is open 10 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. Tuesday is 10% off everything.
