It's not a huge place (I'm used to 2-3 story antique malls) but there many types of vintage things ranging from toys to ceramics to explore. The prices are more than what I would like but not crazy. I would say a bit above reasonable prices, but it depends on the item and the value. Either way, I recommend this gem!

The employee I dealt with was condescending from the first exchange -- not in a single moment, but consistently, as though it were policy. I left without completing my purchase. There are other local businesses in this area that earn the loyalty they ask for. This one did not. I won't return, and I can't recommend it.

I really like this place. I'm a bibliophile, myself. I have way too many books to read in my…read morelifetime; I suppose part of my book obsession isn't only about reading the of books, and extends to the finding and curating of a book collection, as no working dad has the time for reading the entire library that I'm building. Idk. Maybe I'm just preparing myself for a retirement spent in the books--either way, I have a habit of buying too many. Thus, it's rare that I leave a bookstore without a few or more in hand. In this case, I only purchased one upon my first visit to Fletcher's, and I believe the reason I purchased so few is simply that it's so difficult to sort through the books here unless one has much time to meander and stare at every book on the shelves and tables--and, for the tables/islands of books in the middle of the room, one must have time to pick up books stack by stack to search through them, else you can't actually see what the books are; it's like losing sight of the trees for the forest. Still, upon my visit, I did find one book that I've been meaning to purchase for years, and it happened to be in one of the stacks I picked up. I suppose there's something cathartic about picking up a stack of mystery books and searching through, hoping for a gem. It's a bit like gambling. Although, I simply did not have time in this visit to linger longer and meander through all the mystery piles. It is for the reason of accessibility--though the search may be fun--that I do deduct one star from my review. Were it easier to find books on the tables, I suppose I would leave a 5-Star review. And, on the surface, they really seem a 5-star independent bookshop. They have so much packed into such a quaint and whimsical location; I really loved the ambiance. The antiques were a nice addition--I'm now convinced that all book shops should double as antique shops with stained glass windows and panels such as this. It's gorgeous. And, yet, again, I still wish it were easier to search through these mountains of books on the tables. So, will I go back? ABAOLUTELY! and you should, too--but plan to need longer than expected to find books of interest. They're there--you just have to search through their tables thoroughly.

Donna was extremely helpful in determining the actual values some of my deceased wife's pottery…read more She examined several boxes of pottery and provided an estimated value of each item, even showed me the method used for evaluations. She made reasonable offers on items which she was interested in purchasing and made suggestions on how to sell others. She indicated that some higher value items should be offered for auction. She could have made low offers on these items, but chose to give me the opportunity to obtain a higher dollar return. It warms my heart to know that there are still honest and trustworthy people like Donna around.
