I want you to know what an EXCELLENT experience I had with Harper, who assisted me in selecting a new laptop. As a senior who is still working and had not used a laptop in nearly a decade, I really appreciated the time Harper took to understand my needs. He patiently walked me through the different laptops I was considering and clearly explained the pros and cons of each one so I could make an informed decision. Harper was exceptionally patient, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process. He never made me feel rushed, and I left feeling confident about my purchase. Employees like Harper make a real difference in the customer experience, and I hope he receives the recognition he deserves. Please pass along my sincere appreciation for his outstanding service read more

Costco is a wholesale warehouse. You need a membership to go in; you cannot stroll the warehouse, eating samples, and preview it. You cannot use someone else's card. In fact, you can't bring a friend and have them use your card at checkout. If your friend wants to buy something, you are paying for it. It offers early hours for Executive Members so if you don't have that membership level, you won't be able to enter. Executive members pay for that perk. Check the Costco website for hours, not Google. Sometimes it is very crowded and the staff works hard to expedite people through the lines. Trying to find something can be a bear and requires extra effort on your part. Yes, that's part of the experience. I've ordered a pizza and they handed it to me and I have ordered a pizza and it wasn't ready by the time I finished shopping. The pizza is a good deal; when you will get it, depends on the volume ordering. I try to go on "off hours". I am an Executive Member so that may be when they first open. In general, expect crowds. Everyone has a monster cart that they are trying to navigate around the store. Imagine someone used to driving a Spark is handed an Expedition and they are turning a corner. It can get crazy but that's part of the experience. A lot of the complaints are part of the Costco Experience. You are warehouse shopping and the staff tries to work fast to get the crowds through. Mistakes happen. It can be a nuisance to fix a mistake though hopefully, the mistakes are a small percentage. read more

ABSURD !!! If you scan your items they treated you like a thief. But, if you go to a cashier ...the experience today was a true example of *lack of productivity (an overweight woman scanning items with her finger - her counting was 17) *inept (a rude man counting everything and shuffling around items) THAT same man was asked to give me a box, He picked one completely wet and dumped it on top of my cart *rudeness (I requested a box, but she ignored me and kept with loud voice repeating my total amount and to pay-the cashier LaJuan R) Three people in one register, not ONE of them deliver Customer Service, not a smile, not thank you. Just in a hurry, for a register and a store that was fairly empty. We are from Seattle, with a membership of 30 years!!! ....and knowing the standards that this company holds dearly; I am wondering when, how and why this store is representing the worst of a retail business. I'm do glad we have a Costco near by. My son and I make a whole trip out of it having pizza or a hot dog at the end of shopping. They usually run great deals on electronics and other useful items. I've been a loyal Costco Executive member since 2010. I've never experienced such poor customer service. We came on a busy Saturday and purchased a few items when the one item we came looking for was unavailable. We were checked out by a very pleasant and cordial Daniel. As we were exiting, front end employee Francois pointed out we had 8 items and only 7 on our receipt. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and directing us to customer service to pay for the item that Daniel had forgotten, he asked us to identify each item in the cart on the receipt as he checked it off. He told us to go back to the self checkout lines were the cashier hurriedly checked us out for the one item (and took some information about the missed item and cashier, presumably for QA). We went back thru the exit and Francois double checked we had the second receipt. No one apologized for the inconvenience for Costco's mistake. Instead, they made us feel like WE did something wrong. Better customer service would have been to apologize for inconvenience and then make the ring up process for the missing item as quick and painless as possible. read more

I will present the facts and I will let you decide. I googled the opening time of Costco Georgetown Texas. It said 9am. I arrived at 9:40. I scanned my card. The attendant said, "sir you do not have premium membership. This means you cannot come in until 10am." I replied, "that's only 20 minutes from now. Can't you just let it slide?" He vehemently refused. Several patrons with the proper credentials passed the guard station. At this point my options were to return to my car and sit (but it's about to rain) or stand in front of him and wait. I chose the latter and returned to my car to wait and make this post. I'll return in 10 minutes and just stare at him without saying anything. Because I now have the time I'll also recount another stickler/situation that occurred a while back at this same location. I like to scan my own items because if there is a mistake I am the one to blame. Despite waiting in line for that counter the attendant insisted that I go to the line that had people manning the check out. I insisted that I would prefer staying where I was. They insisted that I move to the other line so I complied. I let them scan all my items. When I went out I got in line behind several people to go past the attendant at the door. He let the others pass with only a precursory glance at the items and a nice thank you for coming. When it came for me, he itemized all the products. He found that one item was not in the receipt and basically accused me of stealing. This was after I insisted that I do the checkout because I would have not made the mistake. Their cashier did. I asked to see the manager but he took forever to show and I was in a hurry. I have shopped throughout the country and have had great service at all Costco. Georgetown however I am extremely unsatisfied with. Costco is a customer service based industry...how about a little customer service? read more

I love Costco, but this is based on my latest visit. I ordered a whole pizza at the deli. I was told it would take 20 mins. They were swamped. It took over 40 mins and I was annoyed. However, the pizza and Cookie were really, really, really good. Next time I will plan better and pray for no lines. read more

Been here many times - never an issue until today - in self checkout closest to tire center about 2:30-3p range when had a technical issue checking out and asked one of the Costco reps for help. The person who responded was a rather large or heavyset youngish man I'm guessing in his 30s - he was rude, abusive, abrasive, argumentative and ruined the entire visit such that it is. I couldn't see his name tag as he had it under his vest. He could have so easily handled the situation in a pleasant customer friendly way but instead he did as I described above, as if he wanted to be confrontational. Shame on Costco for putting this type person in a customer service position. read more

This is an excellent Costco. All of the products inside are well laid out in the store is kept very clean. The employees are very helpful and very kind. I love walking through and getting the samples. The TV display always gets my husband's attention. They have such beautiful jewelry at such good prices. They have wonderful Christmas things out right now. They have a wonderful Christmas tree, trees and gifts. I bought myself two new Christmas wreaths and they were only $50 each. The checkers are very friendly and also very fast and expedient. I've never had to wait too terribly long in line. They have a pharmacy where you can get pet meds too! So now both me and my Dog get our prescriptions at the same place, lol. The pharmacy is also offering flu shots. They have clothes that are so reasonably priced and extremely nice. There's just something for everyone in this store! I highly recommend it. read more

If your thinking about coming to the Georgetown Costco, DONT! the customer service has been horrible and outright disrespectful. I have a disabled mother with a Costco membership who just had gotten out of surgery and we needed groceries for the month so I went shopping with her Costco membership that she has had for over 20 years. They let me come in with her membership, but after I had spent an hour shopping, I got to the checkout and they didnt let me buy anything and they made me wait until they got their manager. I even explained the situation and they declined and got their manager who continued to rudely take out items of my cart to put back and not let us buy anything after we had explained our mother was not able to get out of bed because of her surgery. After that he said he can talk to her, so I got her on the phone. He just started saying how it's not allowed and you would have to get a new membership right now if we wanted to just checkout. When he was talking on the phone with her on speaker he started having an annoyed tone with his voice, sighing loudly, and talking over her. It made me upset so I told him it's ok and we'll just leave and he said nothing in response. Next time Costco hires their employees, I hope it's someone over the age of 10 who actually knows what's right for their costumers. I understand there are rules but it only wasted mine and their time by being such a stickler about them. Not only was the manager being rude, but he didn't give us the time of day and had us kicked out with empty hands. Also, I have already used my FATHERS membership to go shopping for him before and they said nothing then, so why now do they have an issue with my disabled mother? It truly repulses me. I hope other people who go shopping for their parents or family who are unable to have a better time than I did! read more

I'm not sure why folks rated this Costco so low except to complain and grumble . The staff is wonderful, they are always friendly and helpful. My husband has used the hearing aid department and ordered hearing aides for under $1700 compared to his audiologist who wanted to charge $6,000! He loves them and the team was great with the hearing aid test and helping him pick the right ones. They spent extra time with him helping him adjust to life with hearing aides I went to the optical department with my prescription and ordered a prescription pair of sunglasses and regular glasses. I bought two pairs for under $275! Ann helped me out picking out sunglasses. She also told me about the deal of ordering one pair and getting the other pair with $50 off. Ann was very patient and thorough. Costco optical does take insurance. The entire optical staff was amazing! They are so friendly and helpful! Love love love Georgetown Costco!!! read more

Love Costco! Clean store, great organic selection and good meats. I get all my cleaning and paper products there too!

Costco is the best and this one is no exception! Georgetown is always way less crowded than the Costco's in Austin or even in Cedar Park when I used to live there. It's a relatively new one so there is plenty parking (unless it's Sunday afternoon), and the layout is pretty standard. There are samples on the weekends and the workers are fun. I can usually find everything I need for my Costco runs, but when I go to Costco, I let Costco decide what I need. The gas is cheaper than the ones closer to Austin also, and there is always a pump available which is awesome. I enjoy coming to this Costco and will be back! read more

They have a better variety than other big box stores. They carry in bulk a lot of products use.

People either like it or the don't. I do. I like all the samples, so do the kiddos. They have a variety of everything from appliances to clothes, food and wine, and more. Everything is sold in bulk, and you do need a membership to shop. They have a gas station, that has better prices than any other gas stations. There is also a food court with hot dogs, pizza, soft serve ice cream and a few other options. The pizza is actually pretty decent. Only two options though, cheese, or pepperoni. At $10 for an "18, it's a steal. This is the perfect pizza option for a pizza party. Things not to like: need a membership (they scan it at the door and at the register), it is busy, closes at 6, nothing really under $10, so expect to drop a dime each time you visit. read more

Georgetown Costco is smooth. There aren't too many customers at one time. It's not cart by cart. There are six self checkout stations. Unlike other locations, you actually checkout. There's typically only one employee guiding customers through the area. Out of the other locations, this would be the one I'd tell someone to go. Quick, easy and plenty of items you're shopping for. read more

You can only use the points you acquire at COSCO to purchase COSCO products. I have accumulated almost $200 in points from COSCO. When I went to cash in my points I was told the money can only be dispersed via their "gift car" which I was told would work anywhere. I tried to use it later that day and it failed to process. I went back to COSCO and talked to someone else in customer support and was told the "gift card" could only be used at COSCO. The card worked just fine when I went purchased something at COSCO a few minutes later. To sum it up: 1. One can only convert points to COSCO gift card 2. Card specifically states the card can not be cashed out for cash. 3. You can only use the card at COSCO to purchase COSCO products. read more

Just stopped in for some gas & a few groceries. Great as always! It was a little crowded, as to be expected on a Saturday afternoon. I easily found everything I was looking for, (and a few extras). I always suggest getting a Cotsco membership. I love this Cotsco location because the parking isn't completely horrible. They also have more space in the area where food is served. Great store and customer service!! I shop there twice a month. Gas prices are reasonable as well.

Quick gas and go review. Stopped by on the way to a nearby friend's house for dinner because I needed to fill up. Best of all, the girlfriend paid for it! Love it when you give me gas, bae! Shortest lines ever for gas at Costco. Really good prices for top tier detergent gasoline. If you've got the card, just do it! read more

This Costco is terrible when it comes to selection. I just moved here from California but have lived across the U.S. and even shopped Costco internationally. This particular store has a poor selection of beer. I don't think they have a single local brewery represented. They also don't have NA beer which we'd gotten used to seeing at our California location. There is also only one selection for almond milk and it's not even Kirkland! Go figure. We typically purchased Califia unsweetened from the refrigerated section...California Costcos have refrigerated alt milks along with non-refrigerated, several types (Almond, Oat, Soy) and brands. In Georgetown? No such variety. Ok. That's alt milks and maybe that's not a thing here. Well, how about eggs? In California you can have white eggs, brown eggs, organic or free range. You get two dozen, you can get multiple trays (like restaurants buy). You can even get medium sized eggs instead of large. Here in Georgetown? You get exactly one choice: 18 white large eggs. We like to buy Casa Sanchez salsa and Del Real Carnitas from Costo on a regular basis. We could get that in California. In fact, California Costcos used to carry this awesome two-pack of Kirkland brand green and red salsas. In Georgetown? You get exactly one choice of "restaurant style" (yuck) red salsa. I mean, I would have thought that Texans would know how to identify good salsa and that Mexican options would be aplenty. I guess I was wrong.... At least it's not as bad as Canada where the Barrie, Ontario, store most likely only stocks Tostitos salsa (I didn't check because that's what all of the grocery stores call salsa up there). I know, I've lived too many places and been spoiled by quality. But what it comes down to is that where I would normally spend $150 to $250 per week shopping for staples at Costco, today I walked out having spent $25 and am now thinking of cancelling our membership because there's nothing to buy. The person packing my cart at cash was excited to see how much I spend per year that he excitedly suggested I should upgrade to Executive level (which I don't do anymore because we've moved so much and it doesn't make sense when you suddenly find yourself in a tiny apartment in a big city). I declined and said "unlikely to happen, there's nothing for me to buy here." Guess I'll be focusing on H-E-B and maybe Randall's and maybe the new Sprouts when it opens. I suppose if you've never visited other Costcos you just don't know what you're missing. This one in Georgetown is terrible and what makes it worse is that in the middle of the day the line for self checkout was mega long yet the store was practically empty. Normally I would zip through self checkout when all I have is three items but I opted to just wait a couple of minutes and go through regular checkout. See, I had planned on buying some wine but put it back when I could find other things and felt it would be faster to just not buy alcohol and go through self checkout but then the line... lol Probably some sort of statement that Texans like to be self sufficient and that's cool. read more

Pizza not as good as sams club. Always crowded lines. Check out process is annoying.

Went on a Sunday morning around 10:30. We got gas first thing and there was no line! I love that there's 3 pumps per lane unlike cedar park which has 2 which causes a lot of traffic. It was a bit busy to find parking but once we were inside, it didn't feel too crowded. They were giving out a bunch of samples of different food, everything was in stock, super clean, etc. I didn't see any book section in this Costco but I might have missed it! The cafeteria in the front was probably the busiest lol and we had to wait to find a table to sit down and eat. Overall, super happy that a Costco opened in Georgetown :) If you're on the fence about a membership, do it! Totally worth it. read more

We came to visit this Costco for the first time. my wife has never been to one, but I grew up going to one with my parents. They would not even let us in to do a one day sample of the store without a full membership paid. Totally ridiculous. The greeting guy sounded so uppity too, as if he made more money than us. Quite silly that the large Kmart warehouse store is now considered uppity. Trust me- being turned away by a Costco guy sucks and deserves a 0 star rating. Get better at customer service and don't stop people from trying before buying what you do. Boo for uppity bullshit and buying too much of what you don't need anyway. read more

We were here 3 months after their opening. My car battery was getting weak, so It was an excuse to come in and make an exchange. be aware... there is no liquor store within this costco. they have the tire shop but no booze. But tbh I'm just so glad they built one even closer to me than CP or Pflugerville. Today I finally worked up the nerve to get my rebate on something they put on sale that i had purchased a few weeks ago, and only bc it was $6 back. To me, i never felt it was all that worth it to ask but this time I was like, why not? I have no problem using coupons so why not get a retro coupon. The first girl that helped me was so nice, even looked it up for me, printed a paper and handed it to the return line lady.. she was not as nice. Grumpy elderly lady who was looked at the paper and gave me a scowl and yelled at me that she needed to see my membership card. (thought the print out with my info was sufficient, so I had closed the app. It wasnt. So I had to open it which made her sigh loudly and ask the lady next to her when she could take her break. I wonder if I had been a very rich looking lady would this have made a difference in her professionalism or demeanor? I know when I worked in c.s. I couldnt speak to people like that, they would have asked to speak to a manager. but honestly, I just felt shamed. Which is the worst feeling you can feel when you spend HUNDREDS of dollars/thousands a year in this store and you're going to shame me for my $6 rebate? Maybe I go to a different big box chain store for this next few shopping trips. Thanks mam for making me feel tiny and small. bk in october, i also feel I need to mention that my 3 yr old lost a shoe and it took me 30 min before I could get anybody to answer where lost and found was. I went round and round and a guy motioned he was deaf and couldnt help me (might have been pflugerville, gtwon or cp location) and finally i ended up just scouring the store myself and found it. again, crappy c.s. Other than that, I love costco. just crappy c.s. read more

I am such a huge fan of Costco and am extremely excited to have one so close. Between their buyers amazing taste and their return policies you can't go wrong. With meat prices as high as they are at the grocery store you'll also save a boatload. While the packages are huge you can just freeze portions for future use. Pro tip: upgrade your membership. You'll likely spend enough over the course of a year to pay for the membership renewal. read more

HEADS UP! On Saturday 11/2, I bought one of their delicious roasted chickens which I buy often. I got home salivating over a chicken sandwich. Unfortunately, the chicken was very under cooked, only the skin and first layer of meat was cooked. It was still bleeding a bit!! I took pictures to submit to customer service and threw out the chicken. I didn't put it to roast because my cousin said I'd be risking a potential bacterial problem. There were a lot of chickens on the shelves and I'm thinking that other buyers may have encountered the same experience. I don't think anyone would've eaten it raw.
