I went to H-E-B to do grocery shopping today and to get gas. I love that the gas is the least expensive around, that's handy. The gas station is always very clean. The grocery store was very nice today and very well stocked. This HEB is not as big as the Round Rock H-E-B, but it's still nice. They have a good variety of most items. Some items that I buy at round rock were not available at this store, but I bought other items in place of them. They have a bakery that's quite impressive. Their meat department is also top-of-the-line. They make their own tortillas and bread. They have a nice deli. (I bought lunch!) They have plants outside. They have flowers and toys and make up! They have just about everything you would need. You can cash checks there. The prices are good and their produce, and groceries are well taken care of. You can buy some organic products here, or non-organic. Their employees are very kind and helpful. I like this store. My previous review was only the pharmacy. I don't care for their pharmacy. The service I've gotten there has been less than adequate and they only sell generic prescriptions. I prefer name brand. read more

I like this HEB because it is smaller than the newer ones, so a little less busy (still busy), and easy to navigate. Their curbside and delivery service has been acceptable. Have seen them run low on inventory at times, but usually can depend on them having a variety of options. They also have a small garden section out front. read more

Was lectured by their customer service staff about how I needed to call them sooner (I texted their shopper back within 15 seconds, and called HEB a few minutes later, but it took over 30 minutes to get off hold). I just got back from the HEB store on the corner of DB Wood and Williams Drive. I parked and entered this location around 8:30 into the produce section. The door was open and there was no signage to indicate that the door would be closed at 9pm. When I tried to leave around 9:10 the entrance was blocked and I was told that I needed to use the exit that was far from my car. When I asked to talk to the manager because the door was closed, a young clerk responded that he was the manager. When I protested, he told me that he wasn't the manager, but he'd call "Mike". After a considerable wait... Mike arrived. Mike seemed incredulous that I didn't know that the door was lock at 9pm because it was always locked at 9pm. While I know many things, I don't think I should be required to know the time individual doors are locked. AT NO TIME WAS AN APOLOGY OFFERED OR WAS ASSISTANCE OFFERED TO HELP ME OUT TO MY CAR!!!! read more

I've got roll back my rating here. My biggest complaint is about their ongoung inability to keep shelves stocked (as I noted in last update). This actually was somewhat an issue before pandemic and continues now. And I don't know if online order and pickup gets priority or if their shorthanded staff-wise or what. But, there are often empty shelves of items that, to my knowledge, aren't hammered by continuing shortages. Spartan frozen dinner shelves. Soft drinks in plastic bottles have consistently been absent. Same with sports drinks and things like Snapple. The entire area where there are normally piles and piles of cases of bottled water were bare floors today. My other qualm is they keep moving things around. Is it that difficult to figure out where club soda should live? Or garbage bags? Or ice cream? Maybe the the manpower rearranging the shelves could stock them instead. So, I'm lowering my score. This review is for the in-store bakery at this location. We ordered 48 of the 3" cheesecakes- half chocolate and half New York style along with some of their deluxe oatmeal raisin cookies as desserts for a memorial service. The staff was very prompt and courteous. The cheesecakes were ready for pick up as requested and they were beautifully decorated and packed for transporting. They were delicious as well as pleasing to the eye for our guests. HEB took all the work and worry out of this part of our service planning. read more

What could have been a negative review turned out to be a great one. I ordered a small quantity of ramen noodles for a friend in the area as a gag Christmas gift. The order was to be delivered by Favor. I alerted my friend when the food arrived. She went out to a front porch that was teeming with food. I'm talking massive multiples of milk, bananas, oranges, potatoes, everything under the sun. Except ramen. It had to be a $200-300 order. Meanwhile, in another part of Georgetown, someone was probably quite angry that their glut of food was replaced by 6 random packages of ramen. My friend and I started having this very strange and oblique conversation about what had arrived. I'm laughing. She's panicked. She sent me a picture. I then had to let on about the gag gift. I tried calling H-E-B, but was transferred to corporate with a long hold time. I had an appointment, so decided to call back afterward. By then, the store had already realized the error, contacted me, and replaced the order to my friend WITHIN THE HOUR. No kidding. That fast. As a bonus, she got to keep what was already delivered for free. She put it to good use, distributing it to her son. It never was entirely clear if the mistake was on Favor or HEB, but I'm glad HEB had the good sense to make me and my friend happy about the mix-up. Recommended. read more

This location is near Sun City and the huge increase in apartments and houses on the way to Andice, so it can be very crowded....so go early or late....9 to 6 or so is crowded. I've shopped HEB all over the state since my late teens and college. Consistently friendly, clean and competitive low prices with superior quality over such places as Walmart (ugh). If you don't find a item or like the price, Randalls is an alternative....also friendly but not competitively priced. Crowd size is always going to be issue with pop boom, so get used to it. Recommend this family owned, charitable contributor company. When a disaster hits Texas, you won't see Walmart or Randalls trucks rolling up but a fleet of HEB semi's. Thank you HEB. read more

This is for HEB on University the new store. I pulled into a parking spot and heard my tire go crunch. I got out of the car and there was a glass green Heineken bottle broken on the deep part of the parking lot. I got back into the car and went to Discount Tire to see if my tire was leaking air. I went back to the store 40 minutes later. The same broken bottle was there to destroy someone else's tires so I went to one of the cart boys and told him what had happened. His female supervisor came over as I went back to the spot. He came from her and said that is the midnight team's job but I will put a cart in the spot. Folks do you think you would see that at night if the cart wasn't there. HEB does not care about your car or your tires or your patronage. The other issue about HEB not caring relates to the Williams store. I complained to the supervisor that all their bakery goods said bioengineered food on the label. That can give you cancer. He said go shop somewhere else. Randalls does it too. Now Sprouts had bioengineered foods on bakery labels. What does that mean graphene oxide in the food as well as genetically modified foods in it? Do you know because the cancer rates are going up because of the covid vaccine. You don't want to eat bad food do you? At any rate if you complain HEB will tell you to go shop somewhere else. There's Aldis, Sam's Club, Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, Costco. You can shop somewhere else. HEB doesn't want your business. read more

Instead of asking to help me get my insulated bags she berated me and said i wasn't fast enough and bags should be up front first. I am disabled!!! I cannot use my right hand and can barely walk. This H-E-B needs to have better practice when hiring managers. We recently found molded cheese and brought it to one of the managers. Her name tag said Tori. She just took it and said ok I will let them know. No signs of concern at all. Her response, facial expression, and demeanor made it as if we were wasting her time. As she walked away, we were looking to see if it was a priority being addressed, she starred back and yelled out, "do you want me to get you another?" We will be reporting this to the health inspection as well as other social media reviews. This incident is health risk factor and should have been taken more seriously. We go to this HEB even though there's a closer one to our house. This H‑E‑B is the best! They always have fresh produce, ready to eat meals, and BEST OF ALL, they have the side-by-side carts for kids! I am a mom of twins who are 18 months old. This HEB makes it easy to get in and out with out fuss of pushing a stroller AND pulling a cart. Their carts for kids have steering wheels too! Bonus! Also the parking spot for "parents with young kids" is SO nice to see! It's a chore to shop with young kids and makes my heart happy to see new moms using those spots. H-E-B has consistently been great the seventeen years I've shopped here, but with the recent remodel, expansion, and upgrade, offerings and service has only gotten better. Quality is of upmost importance to H-E-B in all departments and specialty aisles in the store, but the consistent excellence in customer service and a sense of urgency is not often seen today for an extended period of time. Great management and the knowledge and commitment to training and developing employees is highly intentional and not by accident, luck, or chance. H-E-B has built and maintained a great team, not once, but more than a few times over the past 17 years in a challenging labor market. Good job! read more

Low Inventory - They don't want to fix it either! Since moving to Georgetown, we have been shopping at the HEB on Williams Drive, mainly because it's the larger store of the 2 (the other being close to us on Hwy29 and I-35 area). When we first started, one of my treats was to go into the HEB and get a crescent roll donut, to munch on while shopping. They're all of $0.50 I believe, and I just tell the checker when we check out that I got a donut (they're all priced the same). I did this for years at the HEB on FM620 and Cat Hollow, and never had an issue. Well, this HEB, for the past few months, has been running out of these crescent roll donuts! They seem to be the biggest seller. So, you'd think they'd keep them refilled, right? (Donald Trump voice) "WRONG!!!" Each time I ask them, I get the response, "Well, we make them in the morning and when they're gone, they're gone." Even a manager responded that way. I told them, "Well, I don't shop in the morning, but in the later part of the day, and often on the weekends, like many of your customers. And when I come here to shop, I don't expect the store to be "out of stock" because they didn't plan or keep track of how quickly it sells. Actually, I know for a fact (a manager told me) that their computer keeps track inventory and sales, so they can keep stock. So, why not do this in the donut section? I don't know, but I have asked several times, and even asked a manager to see what they could do. Their response, "Well, you could come in the morning and we should have some ... but sometimes we have customers come in who buy them all up." Seriously? That's the "award winning customer service from HEB" that I've come to know? So, I've been talking to my wife, and it seems this HEB has now lost our business. There is one on FM1431, just South of Georgetown, and it's even bigger (as least it seems so). They, like the Round Rock store I used to love, "always" have crescent donuts made and ready to buy. THAT is where we are taking our business. Did we give the HEB on Williams Drive amply opportunity to fix this? Oh, I think so. I've spoken to 3 or 4 different employees who work there in the bakery, and even to their manager. NOBODY seems to care that customers are wanting to buy a product that they are too lazy to make more of. So, they had they're chance. We're taking it elsewhere. read more

Sun City HEB Store Manager this review is for you to see. You need to replace and or repair your self check out terminals. Half of them do not work properly when you select card for payment. The last 5 times I have been there which is very recently like just in the month of July, the HEB employee has to take me to another terminal to get the payment accepted. This rather defeats the purpose of a fast in and out purchase! Also, your public bathroom is always dirty and gritty feeling and looking. It needs not only a cleaning but updates in faucets and tile grout etc. With all the money HEB has this surely cannot be a hard fix for you. I am obviously out of the loop as I had no idea this H-E-B was known as "Taj Ma B" and "Gucci B" on the street. It's almost like how drug dealers nickname their "brand" of drug. Let's just say this - if this H-E-B is a drug - give me another hit, baby! I mean, sure there are a billion Sun City folks here, but you gotta realize that you are gonna be old and slow one day, too. Heard so much about "The Big HEB" before visiting. There was a lot of excitement sharing for this location. Feel a little letdown in HEB as a brand because most locations seem to have the same challenges: 1/ They are consistently out of or just don't stock my weekly staple items: Jiff Natural PB, Applewood Chicken Patties, Earth's Best frozen breakfast foods, and Pirate Booty. Pirate Booty? Really? 2/ Employees have difficulty acknowledging customers. Dear Checker, Oh, please don't let my presence interrupt your side conversation with the bagger about your weekend plans. I'll just stand there as the third wheel in your conversation. That's not awkward at all. Please continue. 3/ Not enough lanes are open for the 15+ items. However, an over-abundance of 15 items or less lanes...also known as, The Judgement Lane. Because the second you get in it, people are counting and judging you. 15 items and under= you're a good, upstanding, honest citizen/customer. However, go over one item in that lane = you're impatient, self-centered and an entitled citizen/customer .... No worries, I count and judge too. After standing in the regular check out lane for 10 minutes, I realized I could use the Judgement Lane. Eureka!! That never happens. I quickly switched lanes. While placing my confirmed 15 items on the conveyer, I received the stink look from the checker. I smiled nervously and said, "I counted. It's 15." After checking me out, she handed me my receipt and said, "You had 16. Don't worry about it though." For the record... The receipt said, items purchased, 15, even though it had 16 line items. We just left the Williamson Drive HEB in Georgetown. Wonderful experience all around. Went to pick up 8 live lobsters for a birthday celebration. Robert in seafood department was great selecting the size lobsters we desired. Packed them for our trip back to Fredericksburg. Tee in the self checkout helped us by standing at our side as she had to override the computer each scan as computer didn't understand we weren't going to put them in a bag. Great customer service all around, congratulations on an epic experience!!! read more

I have been a very happy HEB customer all my long life, but this store is the worst. The aisles are always crowded by staff that are stocking the shelves during prime shopping times. I guess other stores must stock shelves overnight because I have never seen so many employees stocking. The young cashiers do a good job, but seem to be more interested in socializing with each other than speaking to customers. I hope the opening of the new store near Wolf Ranch will ease the traffic in this store. read more

I had surgery two months ago on my foot. This makes it difficult for me to get up and around easily. Luckily H-E-B added delivery to their curbside pickup. It has been a true life saver. Ordering is easy. And once you've placed an order you can easily go back and reorder your faves. I like that I have cut down on impulse buys. I love having someone bring my stuff and even help carry it in to the house. The tracking system that lets me know my order is being packed is great. The communication about my delivery even letting me track how close they are is awesome. I suspect life would have been A LOT more difficult without H-E-B delivery. Kudos to the store staff that make this happen behind the scenes as well as those in the front who bring me my groceries. It is well worth the small fees charged. I'm sold and will continue using it in the future. read more
