Yeah, the layout's pretty weird in this store. It's always so crowded during the day I've taken to shopping after 6 PM. For me, I had to decide when to shop: when the OMGs (Over Medicated Geezers) are there, or when screaming children are there. It's a pretty small store too. Someone said it was expanded, how small was it before? Not a big selection of much except alcohol. Parking is an absolute nightmare but from what's I've seen, any HEB has ridiculous parking because the store is so popular. The checkout people are hit and miss as far as friendliness or acknowledgement of the customer goes. Last week the cashier and bagger carried on a conversation from before it was my turn, without even looking my way, until it was time to pay. They gabbled on with each other like I wasn't even there, not even talking about work but about their social lives. The employees aren't as friendly or customer oriented as they are in other cities' HEBs. Their rotisserie chicken salad leaves a lot to be desired. It's thick, pasty, and has bones in it. I won't be buying it again. In fact, their rotisserie chickens are awfully puny, too. Won't be making that mistake again either. I had a good grocery home delivery last week by Jamie. She was very nice! I'll definitely be giving Randall's a try when it opens next month. I feel like I'm in a combat zone every time I come here. read more

Poor delivery service. It took 3 times to get the order right last week. Today I was supposed to get a delivery between 10 am and 11 am. They sent a text stating the order was delivered but when I called they said the order was still in the store. The driver messed up and now they have to change the delivery time. This place is such a nightmare. It's hard for me to go grocery shopping now because I hate this place so much. If there were ANY other options in Georgetown I would never go back. It is always PACKED. Like you can't move packed. You constantly have to dodge people. The check out lines are 4 giant carts deep. The cashiers look super unprofessional (like long stick on nails....). There's often no one around to even bag the groceries. However, they will always ask you if you "need help out with that." Even if there's no one to bag your groceries and you have to do it yourself while you're like 9 months pregnant, they will ask this. I don't get it. The produce is the worst. I know it doesn't stay on the shelves long because of the crowds shopping. Yet it always seems old after a day at home. Just this morning I threw away several spoiled red peppers, moldy garlic, and dry broccoli that I only bought 3 days ago. I hope all HEBs aren't this terrible. The store has a great selection of organic food, which seems to be hard to find in Georgetown. It's also very clean :) but... The lines are ALWAYS long and the sun city gang uses the aisles as a meet and greet. Georgetown needs another store ASAP!!! Tip: park as far out as possible or someone will either park one inch from your door so you can't get in or leave a cart smashed up against the side of it. I just want to quickly acknowledge the service of HEB's employee Jared. I needed a patio table on short notice, but there were none assembled. Jared located one still boxed in the outdoor/patio supply area, and then ASSEMBLED it for me so I could pick it up that evening and put it right into action. With nicknames such as "Taj Ma-B" and "Gucci B" this is clearly the better of the two HEBs in Gtown. While I am old enough to recall the Albertsons days and the day this HEB was open, I am not old enough to shop here during the weekdays, between the hours of 10am and 3pm, when the Sun City folks invade. Oh my goodness! If you see all the handicapped parking spaces full, don't go in. It is guaranteed you will be stuck behind a slew of slow shoppers. Now don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against the Sun City folks, I'm just one of those get-in and get-out sort of grocery shoppers. The produce here is decent, the meats too are good, I would even wager a little better than most HEBs. There is a large wine shop and two rows of organic/ Whole Foods sort of stuff. My only real complaint is that Georgetown is in dire need of more than 2 grocery stores. read more

The floral department has outdone themselves! I ordered a centerpiece for Thanksgiving which was beautiful and lasted well over a week. My neighbors and I wanted to send an arrangement to another neighbor who lost her mother just before Christmas. I decided to order from this HEB again after reading some unfavorable reviews about our other local florists. The arrangement they sent was incredible--just beautiful! They are able to deliver orders in the area as well (for a cost that is comparable to the other florists around). I will definitely continue to use their services. This is a big HEB, at least big compared to the ones by my house. I like the layout, and it has a nice open feel. Especially near the produce, deli, seafood and meat sections. Once you are in the rows, they only go about half way down the store then a big isle then another set of rows, so I don't get that super trapped feeling that sometimes happens in stores with super long rows. The people are nice and the prices are HEB prices. They have a gas station out front that is easy to get in and out of. I think its self serve only. The "strange" thing is there is a section that looks like it used to be a movie rental station in the center front, but now its just used dvd sales, and with the look of the dvds, they must get them from sun city. Some strange stuff there I say. With it being the closest store to sun city, as expected there are lots of retiries with lots of time on their hands to shop "SLOWLY" so I would not recomend this if you need to just pop in and out quickly. You will get trapped behind some slow movers. read more

In the 3 times I have used curbside pick up I have had to park my car, leave my groceries in a hot car and go in anyway to replace what they didn't have twice. For the cost, the benefit is just not there. I might as well have just shopped myself. Especially when it comes to fresh items. read more

If you have never lived where there is no H-E-B you don't know how fortunate you are. This has been our go to store for 5+ years and I've had nothing but great experiences, including today when the guy who checked me out chased me out in the 40 degree weather to give me a bag I left on the counter. After a VERY serious injury I had 2 years ago due to the hazardous remodel design of the HEB on Williams Dr. I suffer from permanent disability, unable to return to my career work or commit to a regular job. The back pain can be excruciating and after thousands of $$$ out of pocket, trying every treatment possible I'm still in pain. The fall damaged my back, hip, neck and wrist yet they claim it's not their responsibility. This is NOT a slip and fall claim, this is a trip hazard because the design to "protect the coolers" from getting dinged from carts is not practical. Why have bars with legs to support them implanted into the concrete?? It makes perfect sense to attach them to the coolers themselves! Or better yet, do like other grocery stores and use rubber bumper type pads along the fronts? I'm in debt to my ears, no income for 2 years, chronic pain and no one will take responsibility and attorneys don't want to go against HEB for "slip and fall" claims. Again, this was NOT a slip and fall.....it was a "Dead Man's Fall". My foot was apparently close to or touching this "leg" so when I went to side step to my right, only my body moved not my leg with arm reaching upward I tipped over planting my entire right side into the concrete. Thanks for being MY HEB...NOT!! (since the accident!!!) I worked for HEB as a teen, my son worked for them, all his friends...I loved this store but will not shop at an HEB ever again unless they can accept liability, cover expenses and REmodel the remodeled design. Missing the foods but not the care or service given for such a life changing accident. read more

A supervisor at this store really needs to sit down and have a conversation with Sally in the flower section . I was in this store getting a few things and stopped to buy flowers for my mom. I was having a tough time finding anything that had any type of actual smell. Grocery stores don't always have many that smell like they came straight from the yard . Sally saw me and asked if she could make me anything thing. I said No, i was looking . I then asked what flowers had a smell to them and she pointed out a few. I made a comment that it seems like the stores don't usually have the flowers that smell like the ones you get from the florist . I continued to smell the ones she pointed out. She had whispered something to a college not facing me with a bit of a head jerk . The other employee looked at me after she spoke to her . At that time a man had asked me what i likes, because he saw i was smelling all of them. I pointed out one in the glass case that i had liked and said it had a good smell. I had looked at it for my mom. Needless to say the man took it to buy for his mother in law. It was a choice i would have gotten for my mom, but let it go for him to get. I proceeded to find some roses that would work. Then started looking for what might go with them to make them festive for the fall. I went buy the flourish counter where Sally was making something . She ignored me and knew i was there . I thought she said she cool make something for me, so better to have her help . I went back up and said, " I want to make something falling for my mom".She annoyingly and sternly said, their is a florist up the street . Then turned her back to me and whispered something to the other employee . Again the other employee snickered and looked my way. I was a bit shocked that a grown woman would be acting this way. I said thank you and decided to not bother with the roses or as SALLY to make something for my mother . My parents shop at this store. Have for years . I use to live in the area and use to come here . Which is why i was there . After my experience and as a business owner, i won't be shipping here . Not because of the product, but because of the employee who pushed me off to the flourish down the street. Maybe Sally does not realize, but she has a job because of the people who shop here . We can buy the same products else where. But we shop where we like the people. I went back after buying my few food items and told Sally, thank you for the help of referring me to another company to buy flowers . I am sure they will like me to spend my money there and not HEB . I have since told The story to others and may possibly share on my social media pages . Hopefully H-E-B will speak with their employees about they way they treat customers . Known as the Sun City/GT 2 HEB...Very Clean, very friendly and uber busy. HUGE wine selection. We always walk the outer departments, I mean I do work for them, so I like to see how it stacks up to my store. Fish counter was fresh and free of any odors. Fresh looking meats also with a very nice selection. Produce looked Fresh and full. Lots of demos (this was on Sat) in all departments. Great looking store. read more

My gripe is with the pharmacy. Saturday, I went through the drive through to pick up a script for my husband. There was someone in the "window" line, so I chose the "vacuum" line. All went well until I reached in to grab the bag of medicine. Not only was it not totally sealed, but the bag was put in the vacuum upside down. So when I pulled it out, of course everything....my credit card and the meds fall out onto the ground. I can't open my car door because the speaker is too close. So I slowly inch up just far enough so that I can open the door, and yes, I ran over the bottle of pills and crushed them. When I brought this to the attention of the pharmacy clerk, even sending back the bottle of crushed pills, she pretty much tells me too bad, it's "on you"!! She said she spoke with the pharmacist and not only would they not replace them, they said they couldn't refill them either because my husband was now out of refills. After a little discussion, she said they would have to review the camera footage and I could talk to the pharmacy director on Monday. Then she sent me back the mangled bottle with the crushed pills. Unfortunately, I was unable to visit with the pharmacy manager today as I was out of town, so my husband went in. They got the medication reordered from the doctor and gave my husband a $3 dollar break on the cost. They should be very happy I was out of town. read more

Where to start? For months we have endured the most ridiculous build out schedule for an expansion. Many of my favorite products have been removed and replaced with inferior Off brand copies. Others are hidden or moved around the store on a daily basis Staff are scarce and unhelpful. Prices are constantly creeping upwards Then today, I saw that they were selling t-shirts saying "I survived the Remodelling of my HEB" Selling? They should be handing these shirts out by the fistful for what they've put us through. I will not be advertising their stupid store remodel, and as soon as the new alternative grocery store opens down the street, I will never return to this HEB. This side of Georgetown is VERY racist, it's not unique to the HEB. Not just the older Sun City folks, but Berry Creek and the Village, etc are places people go to hide from the poor and ethnic. This HEB is has better selection than the smaller one mid town, but nothing like the HEB Plus on Palm Valley in Round Rock. There is currently no grocery store in Georgetown with an acceptable selection of groceries. Go to DFW or Houston and you will see much better because there are multiple chains competing hard for customers. Since Georgetown is basically a 1 grocer town, this is as good as it will get. read more

I give it a 1 star because the people that work at their Business Center/Service desk (where you can also return merchandise) are very rude, don't know HEB's return policies, and basically interrogate you like the KGB when you try to return something. It happened TWICE to me in one day, and I had to find the manager and speak with her. If these people aren't trained to politely and competently work with customers, they must be removed from any position in the store that requires human contact. After getting my groceries delivered for over a year, HEB has suddenly made a decision to 'redraw' its delivery lines. Even though I was willing to pay more for the groceries, pay for someone else to shop for me, and pay extra to have them delivered, apparently HEB decided it would no longer deliver to those of us who do not live in the city limits even though we (a lot of their customers) are high risk during this pandemic. HEB tries to convince us they care about their customers; however, if this is what they consider to be 'caring', it leaves something to be desired. I am very disappointed in the corporation and their view of what customer service is really all about. read more

One of the worst customer service ive ever seen. I live 4 blocks away and for the last few months been driving to round rock heb. I Really dont know where the get there self entitled dip hole staff that works there. The store manager was so rude to my other half that she left the cart full and left crying. Never went back. Very disappointed in the service provided be the Georgetown TX HEB. List of issues: Parking It never fails that one to several items are out of stock. Name brands being replaced by HEB brands that are inferior products and if carried they are hard to find and usually smaller quantity sizes. Many of the products like produce and dairy products have been almost out of date or spoiled. When HEB fails to deliver I have found Walmart to have a very consistent selection of items needed. I've lived all over Austin and this is consistently one of my least favorite HEB stores in the entire area. It's a shame it's now the closest to my house. Want a small cart? Forget it. Want basic items? Forget it. Good beer section? Nope. Want to not stand in huge checkout lines? Forget it. I can't tell you how many times I come to this store and can only find half the items I need in stock and have to go to another store. I've lived all over the US from towns of 500 to 3.5 million .Shopping in HEB in Georgetown, TX on Williams Drive/Cedar Breaks Road is like shopping in a 3rd world country. They are constantly out of stock of basics, like milk, bread, cheese, etc.& if it is on sale , no rain checks are offered."Not Our Policy". We are close to a community of over 10,000 senior living in homes, myself included. Every time I shop I have to climb up tp the top shelves to reach basics like water, cereal, etc. I always see ay least 10 other seniors climbing shelves to reach items each time I shop. I've complained multiple times to the store & corporate offices & nothing ever changes. There are never any staff in the aisles to help or your told they work in a different dept. Every time a brand name product comes in, you had buy every box or next time it will never be back. I have waited since last November to buy a brand of Root Beer which is still listed on the aisle.At a minimum of 3 visits a week & almost 8 months later they are still out. Instead they constantly bring in their own Crappy HEB brands for 2 cents less, never giving the customer a choice. Not only have numerous customers told me this is one their most profitable stores,but so has at least 10 staff & 5+ managers within the store said the same thing. It is so profitable & since there is no competition nearby they don't bother bringing in any requests. In fact I've been told mutiple times by HEB staff that corporate decides what is sold in the store & they refuse to bring in any requests. I had better sevice 20+ years ago in a town of 500 than here. There is constant turnover, so No one recognizes you, or offers to help. I've had 12 back surgeries, yet no one will carry out groceries, let alone get something down from a shelf. I always try to help other seniors in wheelchairs or electric carts who are worse off than I am. When you get home your soft fragile items are in a torn bag with heavy canned goods on top & your cold & frozen items are mixed in with warm items. The whole chain is a scam, but I cannot drive an hour to a wealthy neighborhood in Austin to grocery shop & get the food home before it is defrosted due to heavy traffic & 98 degree weather. if it were posssible I would give it no Stars. read more

This is probably the worst HEB in Texas. The store always has empty shelves, not enough employees at the checkout, and the aisles seem too narrow. The older staff are rude and not overly helpful. It seems that they do not stock at night but do it only during peak hours. It is not rare to go there and not be able to find what you are looking for. With it being so close to Sun City the store is always full of very rude people. They are entitled and act like they hold dominion over everyone else. The only time to really go there is early in the morning but then the shelves are bare. Its a lose lose situatuoion. read more

I've never had an issue with unfriendly customers. Sure, there's definitely an older community that shops here, but we're pretty close to Sun City. I do not agree that people are snobbish here. It's never been an issue. If anything, the older shoppers are more inclined to chitchat. The parking lot can get hectic and you might be circling for a spot if you come at a busy time. Despite the crowded parking lot, I've never been stuck at checkout even at their busiest hours. They manage to keep many registers open to meet with the high volume of customers. Their produce and meat department are great. Incredibly fresh selection and their shelves are always well-stocked. At their busiest hours, it seems like they put more employees on the floor to ask if customers are finding what they need. I'm pleased with their healthy variety of foods. Great H-E-B. Standard heb; everything was easy to find and checkout was pleasant, however, as we were leaving these two lady's were handing out cake for Memorial Day. They were polite and when we took our cake one said "happy Veterans Day" I politely said "it's Memorial Day" then the other chirped in very rudely and said no it's honoring the veterans and I'm just like MAN let me eat this cake in peace and remember those who gave everything, those who lost their lives serving for our country, MIA and POW too. We're thankful for our veterans everyday, but today, we are humble in memoriam for the ones that have passed away. read more

Horrible experience with the floral department this past weekend! We were quoted a price for balloons over the phone the week prior and were told a completely different price in person and scolded because "the prices are posted on the wall". The balloons were for my daughter's first birthday party and there was SO much last minute stress because they didn't know how to blow up the 36 inch round balloons and the price was more than DOUBLE what we were told on the phone. We had to drive across town to the other HEB to have them blown up! I don't appreciate the rudeness or the ignorance of the manager and employee in the floral department. Lots of posts about parking problems here. The main problem is management's inability to keep employees from parking in rows that are in front of the store. The employees arrive for work early and see all the empty spaces in front, so they park there. Soon, every space get filled with customers. Employee cars are still there in the convenient spaces. The extreme employee turnover also contributes to the problem. It's all up to the poor performance of management. They need to step up and address the problem every day, every week, every month, every year. I sometimes wonder: Is this the best that management can do? read more

Empty shelves, always out of at least one thing I use regularly (Seriously, you are out of Half and Half, AGAIN?) Empty shelf space tagged with "Warehouse issues, temporarily out of stock--for weeks. The produce has been just awful the past few months; moldy, damaged, picked over. Lots of variety but horrible quality. The latest aggravation is the giant cages blocking the aisles or speeding through the store as "personal shoppers" pick through whatever remains available for people who are picking up at curbside. HEB could use some competition in the area. I could use some better choices as a consumer. read more
