This store completely wasted my time. I spent a half hour preparing my online order, which said delivery would be within 2-3 hours. Waited around and 3 hours later they cancelled my order with no explanation. I would not do any online orders with them again. I called customer service to see what the reason was, because yeah I'm not happy about my time being wasted and now they have a hold on the amount I paid. They said sometimes the stores just cancel. This is my neighborhood CVS. I have come to rely on this CVS for all my prescriptions and all of my last-minute needs such as my mom's reading glasses broke so I ran down here and got a pair. My mom needed toothpaste so I got a tube of toothpaste on the way to see her. This place is great for those types of things. And they're great for prescriptions. However, they have a minute clinic inside that is horrible. I took my son there to have his ears cleaned because his ear was completely clogged up with wax and the medical doctor was rude and condescending and sarcastic and insulting. And then after it all , she couldn't even clean the wax out of his ear. We went to a nurse practitioner at an urgent center the next day and got his ear cleaned. This woman calls herself a doctor and she can't clean wax out of an ear. It is because the MinuteClinic being inside this pharmacy that I am only giving it three stars. The pharmacy itself and the store and the employees, they're great. Please think twice before you go to this minute clinic. But don't hesitate to get your prescriptions filled or run inside to pick up some toiletries. read more

Unfortunately you have to give one star. This is about Minute Clinic, a service that years ago was quite good for minor health issues and vaccinations. There used to be a list of prices on their website but now it's not possible to even find out the cost of a cholesterol test self pay online and when I called and after going through the prompts I could never get the information. I called back to get a person and they hung up as soon as I said hello. The only reason CVS stays in business is that it owns so many health services and insurance. It's a terrible store with minimal customer service and higher prices on prescriptions. I don't shop there and I've just crossed them off my list for Minute Clinic too. read more

There should be a more efficient way to pick up pictures that have already been paid for online-- I paid for them online so I could grab them and go from the photo section and not have to wait in line. I received terrible customer service from a staff member named "G" who had a chip on her shoulder when I asked another staff member to check me out from the photo section. She told him no and I had to wait in the long line just to pick up pictures that were already paid for. To top it off, during my entire interaction with her, she was incredibly rude, dismissive and unprofessional... and it was only noon! Lol Yikes! I get it, if I need to wait in line, I will (and did) because I want what I paid for, but there's a way to interact with people if you're in the service industry. I have the pleasure of CVS/Caremark being my pharmacy benefit and CVS being the fulfillment pharmacy. They are nothing but a tangled mess of processes that none of them understand and indifferent customer care. Unfortunately in the healthcare world time and dates have REAL WORLD consequences. The Williams location is busy and employees will tell you whatever will make you go away. They'll cover their mistakes. This said they are so busy that I guess that loosing my business won't be noticed by them. For me, they are now a company that I'll only deal with as a last resort. African American woman in the Minute Clinic refused to do a DOT Physical simply because I was translating the form we needed to fill out for my husband. Please note my husband has his own business and communicates in English with our clients but whenever he gets asked about medical stuff he wants to make sure he fully understands. At first the lady said that because my husband doesn't speak English she wasn't going to do the physical ironically he said this to my husband in English. Then the lady said that she was unable to do it because I was translating the form. We were waiting for 30 min and we ended up scheduling an appoint at another CVS. read more

Arrived today at 1:59 p.m. and Pharmacy burglar bars were already down and the pharmacy was already closed. Even though there was still four people standing at the counter, the Pharmacists stated that I couldn't pick up my prescription because the computers had shut down, which sounds like a falsehood. The CVS retail manager was picking up the cash drawers and he stated that I couldn't pick up my already filled prescription and pay for it up front at the open registers. Considering that I've done that a few times over the last 12 more years that I used this location, but maybe with everthing being computerized there's no way to sign the acknowledgement forms, but that's pretty sad and a reflection of how far customer service has deteriorated. Remember when your local pharmacist would open up at night if you child needed medicine in middle if night. That's hard to find today, but thankfully the customer service pendulum has swung so far to the extreme that niche businesses are beginning to fill in the gap by offering customers just plain good service. I read thus morning aboyt a clinic in Atlanta that's making housecalls, pergormjng diagnostic tests, and filling prescriptions at your house for common ailments and influenza etc. Tamiflu delivered to your door. Wow! I know it's Thanksgiving and I should have picked up my maintenance prescription yesterday or this morning, but I'm thinking what if today at 1:58 p.m. two minutes before closing, there was still 4 people in line waiting to pickup their prescription, would the computer still have shutdown automatically at exact closing time, as I was told today? Doubtful! The store manager made a decision and agreed with the pharmacy, so I'll likely switch my prescriptions to another pharmacy after I first talk to the general manager at this location since I have shopped here from the time Eckerds and Rite Aid opened up about 2003. I switched from Gallagher's because of the expanded hours of service and 5 minutes from my home, but now there's not much difference and the nearest 24 hr pharmacy is 35 minutes away. CVS appeared to be innovative and forward thinking with opening of MinuteClinic, but I think independents are offering more year by year. Heck, Gus's Pharmacy in Old Town delivers all over Georgetown, so mow seems like a good time to start shopping small and shopping local for my families pharmaceutical needs and convenience items. Before today's appointment this was our go to location to be seen. Today, ultimately everything changed for me. I had an appointment and waited over 30 minutes without any apology. The nurse practitioner's 1st concern was how will I pay today. This was the most uneducated woman I've ever met in my life. I came in to be seen for possible bronchitis. Not only did she barely check my lungs properly but she was determined to give me some kind of medicine (without any record or proper diagnosis of asthma) she kept insisting to give me an inhaler, the acid reflux medication (I don't even have acid reflux!!!). She kept staring at her computer to see what medicine she could prescribe to me as if it was a requirement. When I rejected her cough medicine I could purchase over the counter she turned to my husband and thought she could make money off him and see if he's sick. In addition, she insulted me by several times asking my husband and I if we were upset about not getting antibiotics. I don't know what kind of customers she gets or the business she runs. But I am far from those people who would like medication. If you as a medical professional believe I have bronchitis then of course I would like proper treatment and educate me on what you know and not what google tells you! But don't insult me or offer to sell me ricola candy I already take just because you need to prescribe something or think you can make a business out of my husband who is not even sick! Moving forward, I am not coming to this place unless I get the other 2 lady's we've previously seen who are much educated and know what they are talking about. I would never trust to bring my family to this place again, let alone my kids. As far as I am concerned you should remove this NP from your facility! I had to update this as I couldn't in good conscience leave a glowing review for CVS Pharmacy. Peoples' medications should be a concern. Until there is a change in management, avoid this pharmacy if you can. We have had to move our prescriptions to another pharmacy altogether. It wasn't just one problem, rather an entire litany of issues. - inability to consistently fill prescriptions according to Doctor's directions - completely running out of medications resulting in prescriptions going unfilled - no attempt at syncing text alerts with actual status, resulting in numerous wild goose chases, waiting in line for prescriptions that aren't ready - management of prescriptions on website is a farce, resulting in having to call the pharmacy Of these, the most alarming was their inability to fulfill prescriptions due to lack of medications. Perhaps a supply chain issue. Once we switched pharmacies, the prescriptions that we were having trouble getting filled through this CVS were instantly filled and ready to go. I made an online appointment at this CVS store for a Covid test. My experience reinforced my decision to never use CVS. I arrived at the appointed time and went to the concierge desk. No one was there. I went to the prescription drop off window. The lovely and talented pharmacist, Shelly, looks at me and very curtly says, 'what do you want'. I told her and she said go to the concierge desk, where there was no one. I was standing there wondering what to do when I saw a computer that said 'Appointment Check in'. So I checked in and that rang a bell somewhere and the nurse practitioner came out. She was very nice and did a good job. She said I could get some testing kits from the pharmacy and took me to the drop off window where we saw the same pharmacist, Shelly. She was curt and abrupt. Quite unpleasant. She did the paper work and said' come back after 2:30'. Evidently they were all going to lunch. I can't really fault her. Those people in that pharmacy are being over run. They're wrapped as tight as you can get and stressed out to the max. You can blame CVS for allowing a situation like that to exist. I will continue going to the HEB across the street where I have gotten my prescriptions filled for 11 years. I went back the next day at 9:00 to get what they said would be ready after 2:30 the previous day. It wasn't ready. They said the computer had gone down. My initial experience here was great. I decided to move all of my prescriptions here because of that and for the first year everything was fine. A couple years back I discovered that my infant sons compounded medication wasn't properly filled, as in the only gave us the syrup but didn't actually add the medication. I had given him a couple doses of this before I noticed the mistake on their part and contacted them immediately, they offered me a giftcard for the trouble and since I had never had an issue with them before, I accepted it. The next issue was noticing that half of my daughter's epilepsy medication was missing. I thought I had misplaced it myself and looked everywhere, even checking the trash. It wasn't until I checked the bottle and noticed "1 of 2" on the label that I realized they forgot a bottle. I was amazed as this was a week after I had picked up the medication originally, I would have assumed they would have noticed if they do a proper count daily. Strike 2. I obviously called them and they made no apology for the inconvenience. A month after this I was checking my daughters diastat to bring with us on a trip, I opened the package and inside was a bright red slip of paper for instructions for the pharmacist that should have been removed by them had they double checked this before giving it to us. It's alarming that it seems they aren't handling their medications for children properly? All in all, it has been one frustrating experience after another. It takes them forever to fill prescriptions as well and as of this month we are switching all of our prescriptions to the HEB next door. I do believe this pharmacy should be investigated due to their mishandling of medications, and if you do use them currently I would advise you to double and triple check everything yourself to make sure it was filled properly. read more

Walked in for a flu shot appointment only to find they were twenty minutes behind abs had a herd of people sitting in close proximity to each other. Even worse though - one pharmacy tech had her mask down well below her nose. When I went to the front looking for a manager she had her mask not only under her nose but under her mouth! My wife and I are older with preexisting conditions and we take this virus very seriously. I even waited till 3pm even thorough they sent me a email saying the post cards are ready to pick up in the morning. When I got there staff said the machine been down all day and nothing's ready. ...... They had the ordered that were supposed to be done and they had the phone number. I went to the store with my boyfriend to use MoneyGram to pay my rent, and "Roy" told me that they don't offer that service. After I told him that the store is listed on MoneyGram's website and that there is a huge sign that says "Moneygram" on their window, he proceeds to tell me that a bunch of people are committing fraud using the service so he's not going to help me. So far, I've waited three days for a prescription. Still not available. Don't waste your time with this CVS pharmacy. Complete joke.

I was going to have a closed MRI and as a result of that the doctor prescribed (2) 5 mg Valium tablets. Looking at GoodRX, and Internet coupon provided 60 of the tablets for 8 dollars and my Insurance provided the same 60 tabs for $6.50. I only needed to so I ask what the individual price should be and as I was told, it would be $12.50. Imagine that, each tablet was $6.25 if I bought two extending that out to 60 tablets $6.25 x 60 = $375.00 Or had I had a prescription for 60 tablets I could purchase them for eight dollars cash. I want to speak to the pharmacy manager, whose name was Becky, and she refused to listen to my complaint, told me that I needed to get better insurance and when I told her all I wanted to know was how they could justify charging $12.50 for two tablets when an Internet promotion using goodRX was 60 tablets for $8.00. She got mad walked away, went behind her counter and when I ask for her name she refused to speak. The bottom line to this is that as a customer we should be able ask a pharmacy manager a tough question. This is in her store, she doesn't own it, and she acted as if we were reaching into her pocket. She was insulting, bitter, and nasty. To tell somebody that they should get better insurance is an insult. To refuse to answer basic question on pricing for medications particularly with what we have heard in the media and from our friends about the high cost of medicines and increases for generics, you would have thought she should of been prepared to explain why. Instead it was my fault and I should get better insurance. There's an old saying that says you vote with your money. All of our Pharmacy needs as well is our prescriptions will go away from CVS here in Georgetown. There is simply no excuse whatsoever to be treated this way has a consumer and all that was ask was why there was such a high price to my two tablets for a medical procedure when 60 tablets cost half of the. You make your own choice spend your money where you get service properly but for me and my family will find another pharmacy. read more

This pharmacy needs a total overhaul. It is in poor condition with antiquated equipment. Let me explain. The drive up window is terrible slow because the software and equipment is old. Credit cards are not stored with customer data. The Venetian blind needs replacing and the glass window is so old and scratched it looks dirty. The inside of the store needs a total remodel job. This CVS store looks like something on the wrong side of the tracks. The speaker at the drive through is hard to hear and makes cracking noises. I have tried 3 times in the past week to pick up a prescription and, although their telephone system said it would be ready at a certain time, i have yet to be able to get my medication. The first time the phone refill system said it would be ready, I went to the store they told me I couldn't pick it up until Feb 8. I phoned in a refill request again for pickup today (Feb 8) they told me I can't refill it until tomorrow. I guess i'll try again tomorrow. What is even worse is the "I could care less" attitude of the people behind the counter. I suggested a process improvement would be to modify their phone refill system to reflect the true status of the requested refill - not to just indicate it would be ready at the appointed time. i believe that suggestion went right over everyone's head. read more

I have been filling prescriptions at this pharmacy for many years. I have always been treated with courtesy and professionalism. Becky has always taken all the time needed to explain the medications and answer any questions I might have. She always does this with a smile and never makes me feel like I am wasting her valuable time even when the lines are long. Dealing with the insurance companies has gotten very difficult with drugs being covered one day and not the next and the refill times becoming so inflexible. The staff here has always made the effort to explain any problem and work with my doctors if needed. They do a great job. read more

I can't begin to explain how happy we are using this CVS location. We have encountered no hassles at all and every dealing has been pleasant. Becky, the pharmacy manager, is always willing to go the extra mile to answer any questions that my wife and I may have regarding our RX to be picked up. We have an 11 month old son and any of you with children in daycare know how prevalent illness is with them. Needless to say, we deal with this pharmacy often and will continue to do so. Also, Nicole who works there in the pharmacy helped me A LOT obtain a rebate for a certain RX that my son was prescribed and ended up saving us more than $75. Got my first RX filled here last week. After waiting 4 days at another local competitor pharmacy (and being told now they would order it - and I could get it in 2 more days), I transferred over to this one - by telephone. They had it ready in a couple of hours and sent me a text so I knew I could come and pick it up. They processed it through my insurance company with no problem. I picked up a lot of other personal items I needed while there as well. I found the staff incredibly friendly and professional- I was greeted at the door and asked if I needed any help finding things. The pharmacy staff didn't act like they were too busy to answer a question for you -- the interaction was very pleasant. I'll be bringing my RX here from now on, and my husband will as well--we'll be driving right past the corner where the "other pharmacy" is located.
