My review is based on my last two experiences with the pharmacy. One Rx they did not have and they told me to call around town as it would not be available for two days. She became irritated when I asked specific details of the antibiotic name and concentration. How do you expect me to call around town searching for a specific medication if you won't tell me what it is?? Tonight, I have been here since 9 pm. I went through the line to find out the Rx is not ready. It's now 10:21 pm, the antibiotic is ready, but I am waiting in this line again. They have not called a single name the whole time I have been here. You are expected to get back in line which is snaking through the store. Completely inefficient. read more

This isn't necessarily just this location. Evidently, it is CVS policy that is new, they do not answer the phone from the pharmacy. If you want to speak to someone, you have to leave a message and have them call you back when they feel like doing so. Very poor business practice. Because sometimes there are situations in which AI does not work; you need to speak to a PERSON and you don't want to or cannot wait. We will be moving all prescriptions to a pharmacy that has true customer service values. Would leave zero stars if it was possible. read more

I have always enjoyed working with the pharmacy at Old Settlers Blvd. The past couple of day have been not so good. No one will answer the phones in the pharmacy dept. I've been trying since 8 last night and even called the counter and they told me that people were back there. This morning, the same thing. If a doctor was trying to contact them, I wonder if they would answer the phone? Please fix this problem. A Pharmacy is an artery to medication needed for patients. Scheduled my son's COVID booster at 10:45 am. That was 25 minutes ago. We're still here waiting in a slow-moving line next to the pharmacy. Wouldn't be such a big deal if the place had a restroom that was actually open to guests. I had to go to the front of the store and ask twice to get an employee to go back and unlock it - which meant she left a whole line of people standing at the front register. Loved that conversation .... Great to declare in front of total strangers that I need a bathroom. When I actually managed to get into the bathroom, they smelled like something had died in there - and I could smell it all the way down the hall. This is a place that promotes healthcare?? Gross. I would have spent some of my wait time shopping, but now I'm not touching anything in this place. read more

My last two experiences with the pharmacy have been a nightmare. The first experience, I went to pick up a prescription a week after my doctor had sent it in. On my first visit they said that they didn't have the prescription, I then talked to my doctor's office and returned two hours later where I was now told that they have had the script but couldn't fill it for another three days. Twenty minutes after leaving I received a text stating the script was filled. When I went in it was the wrong qty from the prescription. Then this evening I went to pick up pain meds for my wife who just had surgery. I was told that they needed information from the Dr and had left three messages. My wife called the Dr's office and they had not heard from the pharmacy. They called CVS and talked to the pharmacy and sent the information needed to fill the script. When I returned, I was again told that they had not heard from the Dr. I then got irate, and they rechecked and had the information to fill the script, but they were willing to send my home without the needed pain meds. Once I told Ahmed (the Pharmist or Pharm tech) that he should check to see if he had the required information before he blames the Doctor he gave me a smirk as if he could care less. We will never return to this Pharmacy, and based on the rating no one else should. read more

I had been coming to this CVS for 6 years because it is a 24 hour pharmacy. After the past year of rude pharmacists and techs that tell you something different every time you call...assuming they even answer the phone, I'm going to Walgreens. The final straw for me was when the pharmacist told me one price on a prescription, with a coupon from my doctor and two days later a different pharmacist told me I could not use the coupon because I was on Medicare, which I am not. When I stated that I was taking my business elsewhere, she stated " just let me know where to send your profile." When I asked to speak to her manager, she replied " I am the manager." I am done being abused by CVS Pharmacy. I hope they have to close even more stores. They certainly lost my business. read more

I reviewed this pharmacy after they completed messed up my order, of a controlled substance. I was able to speak to the pharmacist by going in and when I asked her, Pamela, to let me speak to the pharmacy manager.... I was told the manager was not in, but Pamela assured me she would call me that day between 3-8. That never happened. In addition the pharmacy phone was never answered over a 2 day period when my Dr tried to call to resolve the problem caused by the pharmacy. It is note worthy that in this time my very poor review of the pharmacy on their website has mysteriously been deleted. When I called the store manager to explain, Genesis, she hung up on me mid sentence, of course it was at the point when I was explaining how the mg of medication was filled incorrectly. My 7 year old son has multiple disabilities and since it sometimes takes a few days for the pharmacy to have one of his expensive ($500/mo) meds in stock and the insurance only authorizes a re-order 3 days ahead, the pharmacy suggested I re-order a week ahead to cash and have us rebill insurance on the day it's needed to avoid him missing a day. Missing even one day can have drastic consequences. I did this and upon pick up the pharmacist said my insurance no longer covers it and refused to give us even 3 tabs to last through the weekend so I could prevent him from missing any days. We literally begged him and told him that this was happening because of them telling us to order this way and he said it was our problem and they wouldn't release even 1 pill. They were incredibly rude and had 0 care or compassion. This was on a weekend so he went days without his necessary meds while I tried to reach his pediatrician, neurologist, the insurance, etc. I finally had to have the insurance call the pharmacy manager (it was covered and insurance confirmed that the problem was on cvs end and they should have never told me to bill that way). After him missing days of his med, once insurance called the manager, cvs finally filled it but did not admit any fault or care if they made it right. This pharmacy is a nightmare. read more

I do not recommend CVS. They are more expensive and have poor service. The only reason I use them is because work has given its employees a CVS CAREMARK card to cover prescriptions. This insurance only allows mail prescriptions through CVS. Also, all brand name drugs must be purchased through CVS Customer service is terrible. 1st Visit Upon pickup they said they didn't have the medication in stock and would have to order it. 2nd Visit When it came in,they did not notify me when it was ready. When I went to pick it up 2nd time, they were short 20 pills. I had to pay for the the whole order even though it was short. They never gave me proof that they owed me 20 pills. 3rd Visit Again they never contacted me when the 20 pills came in. I had to call them. I was lucky that they remembered me because I had no proof that they owed me 20 pills. I have always used HEB pharmacy without any problems and great service. I hate that we have to use CVS. There have been other issues too with CVS but this has been the latest. read more

We had the worst experience trying to take our passport photos here. My husband asked an employee maybe in his 30s if we could have our passport photos taken and he sighed. Then my husband proceeded to ask him "if he did not want to take or photos" he then responded with "I don't have time for this shit today". My son was so scared of this guy that he started crying. We left because of the way we were treated. We have never had an employee be so rude before. Please hire people who actually want to work. Never coming here again. I'm not sure what has happened to this CVS, but the customer service in the pharmacy has become increasingly worse. The pharmacy staff act like I'm inconveniencing them when I ask about prescriptions, why they haven't been processed or costs and such. The final straw was a condescending lecture I just received, on how it is my responsibility to sort out insurance obstacles or alternate medications. I know that, but seriously, they cannot be bothered to answer a few questions about what the issues are. I'm a long-time customer, but I'm done and moving our prescriptions elsewhere. read more

My Dr. sent a prescription option for my COVID symptoms and also recommended some OTC supplements and tylenol. I called the pharmacy for delivery because I am very ill but was told that they could deliver it in 2 days! I asked to pay the copay so I could have favor pick it up but the bitch said I can only prepay if they are delivering it. As sick as I am I had to drive there and go inside to get the OTC meds, possibly infecting other people. She must be proud of herself. You send me e-mails five times a day with 15 different coupons I don't give a hoot about. Your staff is awesome. Super friendly. Always pointing out my CVS points, where to use them, how to use them, how not to be blonde and actually save them because they are good for something. You have sales on brand name products every week. And not bad sales, genuine "you buy 4 of these a month at regular price why not stock up and buy them for half the price" kind of deals. You have plenty of parking, easy access on and off i35. True story - I had a massage scheduled with my massage therapist and forgot a hair tie. Ran into CVS in a panic, asked the guy at the register with a long line, he told me EXACTLY where to go and when I came running back up everyone shoo'd me ahead and he checked me right out! I use this pharmacy frequently because they are 24 hours, but I am not too impressed with the staff there. They aren't too friendly, they cut you off when they think they know what you are going to say, and if you ask them for help they act like its a monumental task. Feels like most of them hate their jobs. I probably shouldn't have threw shit at them and asked them to remove the sticks from there asses. Maybe THAT'S why they are rude. Just kidding. I didn't do that. I go there almost every week though. On another note, the store IS very organized and clean, So what they lack in customer service, they definitely make up for it in organization and cleanliness. Everything is very easy to find. Only gave 1 star because I had to. Ordered photos online. This store is the one it directed me to pick the photos up same day. Drove 30 mins to pick them up 2 hrs after the scheduled pick up time to photos that were never printed. I was told the printer was out of toner. They never called to let me know and the manager didn't know how to issue a refund. Tried to insist I have them transferred and have to drive 30 mins in a diff direction to pick up said photos. I insisted on a refund and he called "his" manager who directed him to call the 1-800 number. The Woman on the Line Said she could help and put me on a hold and instead must have hung up. This has been my pharmacy since they opened at this location and I used to like it very much. I no longer do. The prices are not competitive, the staff turnover is high and the place is dirty inside and out. The pharmacy itself is disorganized in the extreme. Yesterday I was told a medication was $38, but half an hour later (yes, I waited on it) I was told that a mistake had been made, and it was actually $300. Another prescription was placed on hold so I could research it before purchasing....less than 24 hours later, they no longer have it. Paid for two 5x7 print outs and they instead gave me a 6x8 which doesn't fit the picture frames I am using for my friends' Christmas gifts. They said they actually didn't have 5x7 print outs so I asked if I could have a refund because that's what I paid for and I couldn't use those photos. The employees were very rude and would only give me store credit when I had just bought the photos 5 minutes ago and I paid for a product that I didn't get. Multiple occasions did not start filling called in prescriptions until I arrived to pick it up.

My family has been using this pharmacy for 10+ years and I, being an "adult" and all for the past 2 or 3 years now, continue to use it. It's literally 1-2 minutes from the house so it's super convenient. It being 24 hours increases that convenience but also adds a level of comfort knowing that at 1am I can get a prescription. And being on multiple maintenance meds, most of the staff knows me by name and will help me if any issues come up, they're willing to help me. Like the other day I had an appt in downtown ATX around 10:30a and had to work at noon. I needed one of my scripts by noon to have a good day at work and the doctor's office didn't send it over until 11:45a. Although it was a busy Friday, Aperna (the pharmacist, spellcheck) and Dana (the tech) said they would do what they could to get it filled as soon as possible. And they did exactly that! I believe I walked out around 11:55a and since I work just 7-10 minutes away I believe I clocked in at 12:02! There was also another male staff member working and probably had a role in making this happen for me. I was super appreciative - more than they know. This isn't the first time the staff at this CVS have gone above and beyond to help me when I was in a tight spot. The service here is why I stay with this location (besides the rare occasion where they don't have something available) and don't use my job's in-store pharmacy. These people work super hard for a company who I've heard frequently doesn't exactly give them the credit they deserve. As for the front end part of the store, I've also have had fine service. I rarely purchase merchandise here (items at CVS seem to always be a dollar more than where I buy them at, I don't know) besides a cold drink and when I do it's nice to have a 20% coupon on my card that was sent to me via email or through the app. I do wish at times they would take away the option to look up a customer's CVS card by phone number. There's been times where the line is super long already and then it's made even longer when a customer fails to have their card on them and proceed to go through 4-5 different numbers until the computer finds them or they give up. The guy at the counter needs some training..They put up prices like two waters for 3 $ for the last 10 years I have been getting deals there having them scan the stupid rewards cards behind the counter..Well this old man that always seems to be working the understaffed counter when I walk in (he has to talk to everyone so they drag out Thier purchase even longer) tells me they no longer do that anymore I was in there last week and it wasn't an issue..There is no way I'm paying 5 $ for two waters without the card but he took so long with customers before me I was pretty much done with one so I was stuck paying for at least the one that I had drank.. then he goes on about talking to a manager..It's like what an idiot I handed him five dollars and walked out the door he was still blabbering about store policy's this and that.. guy is so stupid the loyalty card is supposed to bring in buisness not piss people off to the point they will never return..That was my last trip to that place.. read more

It's pretty pitiful when you call in two prescriptions for refill at 5 am, give them until 3 pm to fill them and they mess up and only fill one of the prescriptions. Andddd it's happened more than once!! I'm soooo disappointed. They used to have really great customer service, but over the last couple of years it has steadily declined to the point that I clearly cannot count on getting my prescriptions when I need them. I love this CVS!!! It's just a mile or two from my house so I go there all the time. They're always super helpful any time and they're very nice. Even when they make mistakes they fix them immediately and like to help you save money with coupons or scanning your CVS card. Definitely my favorite location!! read more

The CVS card works great. No muss, No fuss, as in "what's in your wallet" or in CVS's case "what's on your key ring". I get some prescriptions monthly from CVS instead of getting them quarterly from Humana's mail in pharmacy. It is a higher co-pay, but you get very good service from the CVS Pharmacy. CVS's service outweighs the extra co-pay hands down. I shop there often and the clerks up front are friendly and helpful. Of course we recognize each other and exchange pleasantries. A mile from my house makes them my corner store for milk bread, water, wine, etc. . read more
