I stood at the counter directly in front of a pharmacy employee for 10 minutes without them even greeting me or knowledgeIng me. When I asked if I was at the correct window she rudely answered by saying she will be with me in a minute. Waited another five and decided this wasn't worth my time. This pharmacy is thee worst, its painfully slow.... I understand busy, but people waiting together with bad attitude from multiple workers behind the counter make it a bad experience. I've been using this pharmacy for two years now to fill prescriptions each month and I've had very few issues. I'm setup to receive email reminders monthly to refill prescriptions and at the press of a button, my refills are requested. I then received a phone call to indicate they are ready. They adjusted their hours so the pharmacy staff has an actual lunch break, which I think is great for them, but just be aware they are closed for a while midday. The pharmacy techs and pharmacist have always been friendly, answered any questions, and even patiently helped me when my insurance was incorrect. I am able to pay without a card through their Express Pay service. As far as refilling and picking up prescriptions, it doesn't get much easier. read more

Every single time I try and get a specific prescription refilled here that requires prior authorization it's always a 2 week process. Every other Walgreens/cvs I've gotten this prescription refilled at it's an occasional 1 time a year problem. Here, every, single, time, and every time I try and talk to the pharmacist, I get excuse after excuse and blaming everyone else including myself why the process wasn't faster. I'm sorry but I'm asking for you to refill my prescription and offering to pay for it. I'm about 1 more time away from never using Walgreens again. Honestly I'm going to probably report this place to corporate, seems y'all have a major issue with y'all's pharmacists. All the reviews for the pharmacy are horrible here and word of mout around town. Probably costing this place a lot of business just be sure one pharmacist doesn't want to do her job. read more

After switching to HEB all of a sudden my prescriptions needing insurance confirmation are all filled same day. When I filled them at Walgreens the past 2 years it was ALWAYS 6 phone calls, a pharmacist or tech always arguing with me blaming everyone else, and 5 days later maybe it would be filled. I'm glad now it's very apparent who the problem was. Get your pharmacists under control. read more

I would not recommend this pharmacy to get flu shots. Had an appointment today and waited almost an hour and was never seen. Filled out all paperwork and then waited. Three other women were ahead of me and no one ever came out to give any vaccines. Not sure what was going on. They could have at least come out and explained the delay. There is a $ back guarantee, but who has time for that, only to end up having them redone the same way? The answer is always, "sorry, it's the way our equipment prints them". DONT USE THIS PHARMACY. HORRIBLE PHARMACISTS. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. The pharmacists are rude and unprofessional. I had a lady at the pharmacy tell me to leave because she wanted to go on her lunch break and there was a mistake with my medication refill date and said it would take too long to call my doctor so she made me drive all the way back later that day instead of handling it the right way when I was there. The worst customer service, extremely unprofessional. I will never use them again. If you want to have to wait days for your prescriptions and deal with rude and untimely unprofessional customer service then go there. There's a CVS down the road I recommend going to versus going to this Walgreens. read more

I stopped by here on the way home from the outlets just to pick up a few things...nothing major. It's coming toward the end of the year and I wanted to use up some funds on my flex card. I don't know what it is about this store, but the employees seem to be really up in my business in what I buy here! First, I was browsing the acne treatment area because I do tend to have the occassional breakout so I was checking out the new Burt's Bees line. The beauty advisor there lets me know there are some Burts Bees gift sets so I take a look and thank her. Not even a minute later, she comes back and starts suggesting the acne treatment packs that are comprable to Proactiv. I thanked her again and continued to browse onto something else. I pick up the box of Bio-Oil and start reading about it. The beauty advisor comes back once again to say that it's a really good product, great for stretch marks, how her daughter used it, etc. Whoa, ok, thanks. I smile, thank her again and proceed to walk further down the aisle to look at other items. I think by now I'm looking at some face lotion and the beauty advisor comes back AGAIN and starts suggesting a shampoo for me and how there's a good deal going on. Oh man, by now I'm done hanging around this aisle and head over to the other side of the store. I found out that my flex card will not cover multi-vitamins, but they will cover pre-natal vitamins. No, I'm not pregnant, but will probably start trying sometime next year. Until then, I've been taking vitamins, getting my calcium & folic acid, yadda yadda ya....to be ready for when the time does come. So, I figure, what the heck, I might as well get pre-natals since they're covered. As I was checking out, the cashier sees that I'm buying pre-natal vitamins and says, "awwww, pre-natals!" I said it was only because they were covered by the flex card...it was kind of awkward sooo it's probably a good idea not to comment on people's purchases. Needless to say, it's nice to have attentive employees and customer service, but I just felt they went overboard here. I like shopping with some sort of privacy! read more

Under United Health we used the CVS on Old Settlers. We've used that Pharmacy for 20+ years and they've always been available to help us. About 2019 they switched us to BCBS and wanted us to switch pharmacies. They used Walgreens. The closest one to our home is at Oakmond & 1431. It's not convenient.. not really. When I used this pharmacy the employees seemed nice and polite. Today I went to pick up a script and they closed the drive thru after helping the 2 cars in front of me.. I pull up and blinds were closed.. "Pharmacist not on duty". I go around to the front and walk inside. The inside counter is closed also. I see one of the Pharmacy employees at he checkout register. I ask why the pharmacy is closed.. he said, Lunch. We'll reopen in 30 mins. CVS HAS NEVER CLOSED ITS DOORS.. In this day and age it's ridiculous to shut down a business to eat. Now I need to make another 20 min round trip because they suck. read more

"STINK!" is the first word to come to mind when I entered this Walgreens. It literally smelled like a giant toilet, I kid you not. I went in with a very short list and it was all I could do to concentrate to find my items to get out of there as quickly as possible. The people in the store seemed friendly but I can't imagine working there, I'd be sick! They had the items I wanted and besides being stuck behind slow customers I was in and out pretty quickly. I didn't buy any of the food items I needed because the smell ruined it for me. Ended up going to the CVS down the street instead. Last month the pharmacy employee asked to place my prescription on automatic refill and I gladly agreed. Last week I went to pick it up plus another that my doctor had faxed in. They did not have either one. I was told the first one was not eligible for automatic refill, and they had not heard back from my insurance on the second one. Today, I attempted to pick up the one that my insurance does not cover with a discount card, and was told they had no such prescription order. It's not the first time they lost a prescription order! I would think there would be higher caliber people working in a place as important as a pharmacy! read more

This locations turn in is a bit odd. Its a small entrance about a couple hundred feet after you pass the walgreens on th main road coming on University Blvd. There is much more choices when it comes down to grocery options and drinks as well compared to the CVS right down the road. read more

I know exactly what Candace is talking about with the overly attentive beauty counter clerks. I haven't really experienced it at this location, but when we lived in Cedar Park I couldn't go near the beauty dept at the 183/Discovery Blvd store without having someone on top of me all the time, one lady in particular. I started feeling like she thought I was going to steal something. Then one day it all became clear. She had been on top of me, following me to every new product I looked at. I grabbed a couple things and as I was leaving the department, she asked me to bring my purchases back there when I was ready to pay. Honestly, I found her SO annoying, there was no way I was going back to her counter. So while I'm standing in line at the main counter, the annoying beauty counter lady actually calls me over from her beauty counter to check me out. I was SO annoyed with her, I actually indicated I would rather stand in line. When it was my turn, the checker explained that they're on commission in the beauty department. Ohhhhhhhh! That explains SO much. It does not, however, make it any less annoying. So, back to the Round Rock location. I have not personally experienced pushy sales people here. I have had a comment or two on my purchases, as the other reviewer stated. I think they're just making small talk and being friendly, but I could see how it could be irritating or even embarrassing, depending on the purchase. I have not experienced the stink another reviewer referred to. I'm guessing it was an isolated incident. All in all, this is an average Walgreens store. I normally would not bother writing a review for a chain drug store, but I thought the annoying beauty counter ladies was worth addressing. Walgreens, if you ever read these reviews, pay attention and do something about that. Trust me, you're losing sales with these ladies harassing people. Maybe it's time to ditch the commission structure. Come on, this isn't Dillard's or Macy's. It's Walgreens! read more

Had a rather complex prescription issue that required extensive coordination with physician and insurance people. The pharmacist, Cassie C. went far above what was required to take care of this matter. She is clearly quite qualified, experienced and willing to take the extra time to make things work. My review is mainly for the pharmacy. The hours need to be extended, especially on the weekends. Also I have found that they do not carry several medications and would have to either special order them, which could take days or weeks, or worse - their warehouse doesn't even carry those meds At. All. I can go down the street to CVS and get the same meds right away. Often times, I can get them from the HEB pharmacy also. Nine times out of ten, if this Walgreens does not have the medication on hand, the CVS down the street does. I think they need to start ordering their supplies from more than one warehouse. Obviously the warehouse they order from, cannot meet all the demands of their customers. read more

My Review is over the Pharmacist Cassie or Tessie or something like that, she is the one with brown shoulder length hair, with an I'm better than you mentality. I have had 3 dealings with her, and all 3 of my dealings with her were extremely negative. The straw that has broken the camels back was Thursday when I presented with an expensive Rx, that does have a discount program so that it makes it more affordable, They were having problems getting the Rx into the computer properly so that my insurance and this discount would apply properly. A friend of mine gets the exact Rx and told me that the walgreens that she gets her Rx filled had a problem and had to call the 800 number for help, as i was nicely trying to explain to Tessie again or what ever her name is what I was told, as just walks away from me, dismissing me stating that that she is to busy to deal with it and might do it later.. it would be one thing if this was a difference of oh 10 dollars, but it is the difference of approx 250.00. i have complained on her to the store manager and to the assistant manager today, after Tessie got agrumenative with me over the phone on this same Rx.... I am done and have transferred by Script and i will be transferring the rest of my stuff to CVS down the street. I have been a customer of walgreens pharmacy for 30 years...with out a problem... i hope this pharmacist gets severe disciplinary action or termination... she doesn't need to work with the public read more

Awkward pharmacy hours. If you need a fill late at night or even early evening on a weekend, go somewhere else.

Walgreens has been my favorite pharmacy for about 15 years, but the ones in Texas seem to be either fantastic or terrible, and this one is definitely the latter. I have to fill one of my prescriptions at this location because they carry the specific brand I need, but even though there's a note in my account, they've filled the wrong one three times now, so after driving out of my way, I've had to have my card refunded, wait 15+ minutes for them to fill the right one, and then check out again. So today, I called first to make sure they got the right one, which is what I was told to do last time, and the lady was really rude since it was already noted on my account. I called at least 20 min after the doctor sent it in, waited another 20 minutes after speaking to her, then headed over. I was just told that they don't have it ready because they said they just got it now. Definitely not true because I confirmed it 20 minutes ago and was told it was already in process then. Most Walgreen's are neat and clean (much more so than CVS), and that is one of the things I like about them. This one is middle of the road for the chain, but much cleaner than the Palm Valley location. Values are good, and service is adequate, but sometimes hard to find help.
