Carne Asada
Mike R.

My keto hookup in Georgetown! Lots of fresh cooked proteins but they'll serve it in a bowl vs a tortilla, including cilantro, onions, beans, etc.

Chicharrón made fresh!

Immediately I knew I was going to love this place, they had every corner of the store filled with yummy food, a variety of snacks, beverages, and Hispanic grocery items that perhaps I can't find in most places. I came for the barbacoa and while I was there I got some extra goodies. The barbacoa is a 3 out of 5, I was really expecting more but there was a flavor in the meat that caught me off guard. Is it star anise? I can't figure it out but it has a sweet'ish flavor and I'm not used to it in my barbacoa. I'm from south Texas and the style is different so it's not a fault to La Plaza Market it just wasn't my cup of tea. 5 out of 5 The chicharrón con carne was DELICIOUS. Freshly made and still warm.... This was the highlight of my La Plaza experience. I regret not getting more! Crunchy and meaty, accompany it with a corn tortilla and some lime, heaven. 5 out of 5 The calabazas con queso fresco tasted like a grandma just made it, which is the best compliment I can't give food made from a restaurant. It felt homemade, comforting, and I will definitely be getting this again. The tortillas are made in house, the salsas are spicy and flavorful, and the prices are a little above average but doable. I love their candy and piñata selection. This is definitely the place to go if you're making candy bags for a kids party. Also- There was a nice little seating area if you're on a quick lunch break! Stop in, check them out, there was so much to choose from that you're sure to find something you love!

Carne asada 1 pound for $19.99

Warning! If you don't know Spanish they will be mean to you. Just a warning. Their business etiquette and attitude is pretty bad. I've been three times and every time they are very rude. Their carne asada is not good at all. It is very over priced and chewy and fatty. So don't get carne asada. It's $20 a pound. Outrageous

Pastor Taco

Some of the best pastor tacos in town. I've only had their barbacoa, pastor, and carnitas tacos. All have been delicious.

We love the taqueria here! They make my favorite al pastor tacos, but we've enjoyed everything we've tried. They are very friendly & great service. The salsas pack a major punch. Check it out!

Meat Case looking good!

El Pastor tacos on fresh tortillas were well prepared and flavorful. Great location and will be of great benefit to many local residents of Georgetown.

Todo bien pero por favor no sean huevones para picar la verdura.

I went there, yesterday, the Food was delicious! The Cashier Girl, I believe her name is Alexis (we…read morejoked about being called Alexa), recommended me the sandwiches (maybe it was The Club? Overall, it's a great place to grab a quick meal plenty of different sandwiches to choose from hot and cold and it reminds me of a more elevated Schlotzsky's. Love how I order the wrap and it came with the side of a pickle spear. It would've been nice to have a side of hot sauce too, but hey, that's Schlotzsky's deal not McAlister's. I really fell in love with the club wrap. I wanted everyone to see when I cut it in half the cross section. You could really see the layers of deli meats along with the cheese, the fresh tomatoes and lettuce, and I decided to substitute regular mayo for the mayo basil free of charge. I really like the exterior texture of the wrap. It's a firm type of feel soft so when you chew into it as a soft chewy texture and then you bite into the cold dense meat and I want you get to chew it you could then taste the cream with us of the cheese along with the freshness of the vegetables great wrap but on the other end, the red beans and rice is a total letdown. It tasted like a side of pinto beans missing really what makes it red beans and rice, and it had little to zero rice. Mine as well call it salty pinto beans. Plus, it's ultra salty. I recommend anyone to come visit. My total meal was under 18 bucks so it is pricey to come here but definitely worth the try the club wrap and avoid the red beans and rice.

First time back to Jason's deli in a few months My Panini…read moresandwich was very good. It had plenty of flavor was toasted almost to perfection, plenty of ingredients, but not overfilled. Staff was friendly and interactive. Checked on me several times while I was sitting just a short distance from the register waiting for my dining companion to arrive making sure I was not waiting on food or didn't need anything... Great customer service there. When we arrive, the place was pretty much vacant, but when we left it was jampacked, but still operating well - I appreciated the spacing between the tables... Close enough for Jason's to have enough tables in the restaurant, dining space, but far enough apart that you can still have a semi-private conversation without people on top of you Jason is Jason's so you know kind of what to expect but this location really rocked it in my most recent visit

I would see the manager in the dining room joking with guests, walking around the saladbar making sure it was stocked up, there were 3 employees in back making everything happen, with the open kitchen you can watch the team work, see them enjoying the work they do. the sun was blinding though, and those blinds dont really help.

What an awful mistake! First, I was surprised the subs were done so quickly, but noticed when I arrived that the restaurant was completely empty (probably an indicator). I picked up my order and drove back home. Little did I know, I should have actually checked the subs in the store. None of the 4 subs had the cheese or any condiments ordered or listed on the ticket. How does a beef and cheddar literally have no cheddar? None of the 4 were cut in two and there was no mayo, mustard, or any other condiment. That's tough to swallow with a toasted, dry, scratchy sub. Meanwhile, I was still out $45+, but then had to find something else for dinner. I've only ever not eaten or served something ordered one other time, but the subs were completely inedible. If you think you're craving the good old version of Jimmy Johns you remember, keep dreaming, as it's long gone! Update to add: one of my kids ate their sub for lunch rather than waste it, then she threw up! Yuck!
