Surprisingly good little station-in-the-wall place! After going past this place a bajillion times, I finally stopped in and tried both the chicken and beef fajita plates. These delicious morsels are served with roasted peppers, onions, and cheese and include beans and rice as a side. The menu is fairly diverse for a burgers-and-tacos sort of place. They offer gorditas and tacos al pastor, which is a pleasant surprise. While I can't comment on the burgers or fries as of yet, these were delish in a most interesting and unusual way. That is...the beans, which are a bit watery at the start, are a sort of tasty universal food lubricant. Both the rice and the fajitas are a touch on the dry side. But a dollop of the beans...and voila, everything comes out perfectly tasty and the right level of moist! It's almost head-scratchingly good. Definitely worth a visit if you're in this neck of the woods. I know that I'll be back. This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Please let the owner see this. My advice - if you don't have a proper cook on a certain day ... close the grill . I would have understood that quality is more important than having someone prepare/serve food that is not qualified to do so. I would have preferred to not waste $15 on two burgers and fries that were simply awful (we did attempt to try them, however they ended up in the garbage and we have now gone to another establishment). It is never worth sacrificing quality! My husband and I often frequent Camco as we've found they have the best burgers and fries - always prepared fresh. In the past, my rating would have been 4.5 stars. Today was a huge disappointment. The burger was precooked and warmed on the grill, the fries were soggy and under cooked. The cook appeared to be following instructions (she looked lost) on how and what to put on the burgers. An example is we ordered a bacon cheeseburger with no tomato or onion. I watched the assembly I saw a burger with meat, pickles, mayo, and mustard wrapped up and about to be put in the bag. No bacon, no cheese, no lettuce. I have lived in Crystal Falls for 5 years and since the first weeks we have lived here, I have been a customer of the Camco. Sure it is a convenience store, and yes, the prices are higher than those of a grocery store, but umm that is the rule of convenience stores... you can pop on over and not deal with the time it takes to navigate the parking lot or aisles of HEB or wait in line for a long time. Positives: - Nice little wine room recently added last fall. Good selection and they will check with their vendors if you are looking for something. Also, they have a great little wine punch card (buy 10 get 1 free). They also have these for snow cones and ice cream. - Zero Degrees ice cream. I personally do not eat ice cream all that often, but my husband loves to get the Merry Berry from there (cheesecake ice cream, fresh raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries, in a chocolate coated waffle bowl decorated with nuts.) - Late afternoon and night time staff: Hassan and Riz are great guys that provide pleasant conversation and service. Negatives: -Lately the breakfast tacos (sausage, egg, and cheese) have been lacking in flavor and are a bit greasy, even in the early morning. -Sometimes grocery items on the shelves are expired, however, Hassan and Riz both double check when you purchase items (not sure about the earlier day staff). So, if you need a bottle of wine at the last minute, milk, or perhaps have a hankering for some ice cream (which you can eat outside in their nice picnic area), check out the Camco. read more

They have a decent number of beers, which is nice. But their wine selection is insane, especially for a gas station. They have everything from some moderately priced stuff all the way down to stuff that legally has to be referred to as a "wine beverage" which is pretty sweet. Their food selection is impressive, but not great. The burgers look amazing, but are a little light on flavor. Not bad, just not great. If you keep in mind that you are buying a burger from a service station and adjust your expectations accordingly, then you're fine. But any place where you can buy beer, a refreshing "wine beverage," and a pocket knife all while getting a fresh grilled burger and fries is worth a trip, in my book. read more

We live down the road but have never gone in. The store was clean, smelled good and nice music was playing. My son and I ran in yesterday for a quick drink and saw the little food counter and it was delish smelling. They had burritos, menudo, burgers and a few more selections. We had to try something so we got a guacamole bacon burger combo. Maybe 6.50ish. The burger was amazing. There were fresh veggies and the patties looked home made. The clerk pulled a sticker off an item while walking it to the register so he can ring it up for $3 more. I caught him. This isn't the first time. Ordered a burger today. What a great find! This is a diamond in the rough. The camco mart has everything you need from a corner store and the Deli is excellent! AMAZING burgers, sandwiches & tacos. I was told by a coworker to check this place out as he raved about the burgers and how big and tasty they were and after a few trips this had been my go to spot for burgers in Leander/Cedar Park. Huge burgers with great taste and honestly the Mexican food is some of the best I have had in Texas which I know isn't saying much since the majority of Mexican food out here has zero Mexican flavor. This is my go-to convenience store and is the closest one to my home. Even though new chain convenient stores have opened up down the street I still prefer Camco. It has amazed me at times of how much stuff they pack into this tiny store..including obscure items that you wouldn't think a convenient store would carry. If you like wine, they have a little room kind of hidden in the back that is jam-packed with a very nice selection...better than many liquor stores. And the fresh food at the grill...the best burgers and Mexican you'll find in any convenient store or in most restaurants. Seriously. They even have a full-blown ice cream shop in the store that carries a variety rivaling 31 flavors. I hope this place does well with the new competition. And judging by the constantly full parking lot, I'm sure they will succeed. If you pass by this place because it isn't a shiny, new chain store, do yourself a favor and stop in once. It's clean, well organized, has a great selection, and the staff is fast and friendly. Unlike some chains, if there's a line, the folks at Camco will open up the other register to keep you moving. Although the breakfast tacos have gone downhill a bit in this past year, they are still far better than most other breakfast tacos in this area. Love the bean and cheese when they cook it with a little cilantro and onion (depends on cook), awesome barbacoa and pastor pork! Steak and chicken fajita are good and sometimes great (depends on cook that day). Carne Guisada is moist and extremely messy but wonderful. We used to go to Hardin Del Rey for our breakfast tacos but once we found this place, we have not gone back to Hardin Del Rey for the breakfast tacos (years). read more

I love this mart the menudo is the best tasting one I've ever had it does taste 100% Mexican. The burgers are so juicy and amazing really big and well portion.
