First of all, let me start by saying this is not review of the food which was great, this is more a review of the staff. One in particular... This was our first time visiting the Georgetown location, we were over that way and hungry and decided based on previous experiences with this chain that we would pop in and have lunch. We ordered via the mobile app at the table, as my wife is disabled and has trouble standing for extended periods of time. Now, there were less than a half dozen people in the entire restaurant including one extremely loud member of staff, an older lady who obviously had family in the restaurant at the time as she kept coming over to the table opposite us and sitting and talking with them very loudly with zero filter, and absolutely no consideration for the other patrons. After waiting about 20 minutes (again, the place was almost empty), our food was brought over by her, she then proceeded to yell at a coworker that as they run out of small cups just to "throw their drinks in a large one" referring to us, and don't bother charging us the extra for it, which is kind of strange considering you get free refills no matter What size drink you buy. She then sat down and proceeded to have a very loud conversation with her family members who'd obviously popped in for lunch and to see grandma, then she shouted across the restaurant "yo bitch, bring me a big to go box" at her younger coworker who was walking over with our drinks. This is extremely off-putting and very unprofessional in what is supposed to be a family friendly restaurant, her grandchildren were maybe 10 and 12, is that the way she acts in front of them at home? WE WILL NOT EVER be coming back to this particular branch, and I will be emailing McAllister's corporation a copy of this review. The food was great, the place was obviously an older branch and is in need of a little bit of modernization, it was clean and tidy and other than the yelling grandma was OK. I have noticed other people's reviews mention the exceedingly long waits for food and the varying standards of food preparation; however, I cannot speak to that. It was my first time visiting McAlister's in person since I've always had it at corporate event or at office meeting, but this is my first time at an actual restaurant. Overall, it's a great place to grab a quick meal plenty of different sandwiches to choose from hot and cold and it reminds me of a more elevated Schlotzsky's. Love how I order the wrap and it came with the side of a pickle spear. It would've been nice to have a side of hot sauce too, but hey, that's Schlotzsky's deal not McAlister's. I really fell in love with the club wrap. I wanted everyone to see when I cut it in half the cross section. You could really see the layers of deli meats along with the cheese, the fresh tomatoes and lettuce, and I decided to substitute regular mayo for the mayo basil free of charge. I really like the exterior texture of the wrap. It's a firm type of feel soft so when you chew into it as a soft chewy texture and then you bite into the cold dense meat and I want you get to chew it you could then taste the cream with us of the cheese along with the freshness of the vegetables great wrap but on the other end, the red beans and rice is a total letdown. It tasted like a side of pinto beans missing really what makes it red beans and rice, and it had little to zero rice. Mine as well call it salty pinto beans. Plus, it's ultra salty. I recommend anyone to come visit. My total meal was under 18 bucks so it is pricey to come here but definitely worth the try the club wrap and avoid the red beans and rice. read more

This is one of the worst experiences I've had at a McAlister's Deli. I love McAlister's and have been going from when I was a kid. This location gave me the worst experience ever, I would highly recommend skipping over this location. I ordered a French dip with a large Mac&cheese. After I sat down and waited for 15 they come up to me and told me that they didn't have the bread to make my French dip. So I opted to have wheat bread,15 minutes later the French dip came out with the triangle wheat bread that was half the size of a regular French dip. They also forgot my cookie. Coming to the French dip, it tasted like paint. Very sour tasting like something went bad. Took to bits and the was it for me, never going to that location again. read more

We had a very disappointing experience at this McAlister's location. We placed our order ahead of time, but still had to wait over 35 minutes after arriving to receive our food. They never acknowledged how long people were having to wait. While we were waiting, it was obvious the staff was struggling to keep up--they mixed up multiple orders and seemed very disorganized. The restaurant also didn't appear to be very sanitary, there were lots of dirty tables with food sitting out and which made the experience even worse. To top it off, the employee who handed us our food used a tray in a way that smashed our order before giving it to us. The employees had a terrible attitude and did not help with getting our food Overall, the long wait, poor organization, lack of cleanliness, and damaged food made for a frustrating visit. Ridiculous, McAlisters started hitting up customers for tips without any additional service's. They stand at the register and type in an order. Average order $20, at 20% that's $4.00. $4.00 for what? I asked the employee how the company feels it to be rare to ask customers to tip for basically self service. Her response was, "mcAlisters don't pay us well, so we need the tips". This establishment is way past unprofessional. They almost double charged me for a to go order AND never gave me the drink I paid them almost $5.00 for on top of it. Not sure if the girl taking the order helped herself to a $14.00 tip or she just overcharged my card because she doesn't know how to work the register. But when I called to talk to the Manager the girl proceeded to tell me her Manager was in a meeting. I called back 40 mins later to try to resolve it and she told me sorry we are at the height of our lunch hour. He still would not come to the phone. I let them know if they refused to come to the phone I will call my credit card company and dispute the charge. The woman hung up on me. So this is we my first time trying this place and definitely won't be my last. The service was great! We had a group of 30 people and they accommodated us so well. No one had an incorrect order and was served in a good amount of time. Anyone that reads my reviews, then knows that I like to try it all! I chose the Choose 2 and picked a Turkey sandwich and baked potato. This was super fresh and flavorful. My baked potato was piping hot! Then, I tried the country potato soup. Delicious!! I was eyeing on the Mac and cheese and noted for myself to try this in the future. Also, 10/10 would recommend the lemonade. It was fresh! This is a review for my to-go experience using the mobile app (which I love). Definitely recommend using the app if you are getting your food to go-it's awesome. Small coffee cup was served 75% full, 3 requests for refill, got a half full cup back, gave up on coffee and switched to water. Ate less than half of it, waitress never came back so I could ask for something else, until my group was finished eating, and she convinced 2 of them to have apple pie. They were served a hot cast iron skillet about 1/4" deep, with hot syrup and 2 small lumps of ice cream. there was NOTHING in that skillet that resembled an apple pie slice, couldn't find anything in it that appeared to be a piece of apple! Asked for split check, she lost our order, repeated it to her, waited 15 minutes for check, she couldn't find the order again!! When I walked in the place was both clean and dirty. Not much on the service cause you walk to the cashier and order, but the cashier was nice. I ordered my sandwich without onions and peppers, naturally it came out covered in both. They were large peices so I just picked everything out. The young man who took my order walked by, turned around and looked at my plate in horror. He tried to get me to let them make me a new sandwich but I assured him that it was fine. The restaurant was clean, every other table had a do not sit sticker on it, though that did not stop a Karen and her young daughter. The staff wore masks and most were nice. I'm just overall disappointed. McAlister's used to be a solid good experience and that's just not the case anymore. My first frustration is they no longer serve the sandwich I used to love (something along the lines of a cranberry orange turkey concoction). Not a deal breaker... I can adapt! Then the guy taking our order had a Darth Vader mask on (I can tolerate masks but this was over the top). To add to his appeal, sweat was dripping from his forehead and his messy bangs were soaked with sweat and scalp grease. Mmmmm I'd love a lil of that in my sweat tea buddy! Then most of the open tables were dirty. Luckily I had swiped a few individual alcohol pads from the pre-surgery prep room prior to my colonoscopy a few weeks back and wiped the table down (it only took 5 packets as you know how small those things are). Looking around I noticed just how neglected the overall facility was. Paint all chipped off the chair rails and corner trim. It wouldn't take much to hit those spots with a lil touch-up paint (even rent houses come with touch-up paint). The food was good and that tea tho so good (hence the 3 stars). The guy who brought our food enthusiastically slammed our plates down and spun around at a strategic speed to walk off so he didn't have to ask for any refills or if we needed anything else. Very disappointing,... 1. Let's start with the menu, no pot roast spud, bad decision McAlisters. 2. Spuds weren't ready, 15 minute wait on spuds. So we waited 15minutes. 3. Wife ordered the black angus roast beef, it had no butter or sour cream, the onions weren't cooked and no anju juice. . 4. I got the plain spud with butter and cheese. It was way over cooked. The skin was hard and the inside fell out and was burned. I guess that extra 15 minutes was too much. 5. I also got the Memphis sandwich. No mayo on both pieces of bread and I guess it was fixed before the spuds cause it was cold. The good? The tea was great. read more

I love this place, even though it's a chain with three star food. The servers and management at this store make it a great experience-- especially if you have children. My husband and I go on Sundays for sweet tea and sandwiches and you'll almost always find a veteran or law enforcement officer whose food you can pay for to celebrate their service. read more

We'd stumbled upon a McAlisters on a road trip to GA when we were tired of the usual road trip burgers and fries fare. I was so impressed I looked online to see if one was close to me here at home. I was soooooo stoked to see that we had one! Tonight was my first order from there and they truly didn't disappoint!!! I just came here yesterday evening for the first time. The food was delicious. I opted for their "You Choose 2" and got half a sandwich & a potato. We also grabbed the last bag of their mini cookies to share (chocolate chip). The cookies were chewier than I expected for being so thin, but they were still delicious! They had one section closed off for dine in which I thought was a little strange because it caused those of us dining in to be packed pretty close together. It kind of goes again social distancing. 4 stars on the food! Cleanliness where food is made goes a long way and builds confidence in customers that cleanliness is at the forefront of a restaurant's priorities. The floors in the restaurant and the men's restroom is in need of a serious cleaning. The people were nice and my chicken Cesar salad was good. I really love the layout of this restaurant that allows for comfort-ability while eating with your party. However, when I walk around the restaurant my shoes should be feeling like the floor want me to stay in place because it needs to be cleaned better. Very sticky in the restaurant and even worse in the bathroom. I'm a fan of McAllisters and this issue is rehabilitative. Please make changes for a better restaurant and experience to match your food. read more

However, the cost for a family to sit down and enjoy a meal together is astronomical. We paid $69 for a family of four on Sunday afternoon. That's a rip-off! So i was in the parking lot and decided it was a nice day for soup- soup would be nice. Now i've been here before and i'm not sure what i was expecting to be better - but it wasn't. One cashier taking orders as slow as humanely possible - like how hard is it to type in some stuff and take payment - i waited behind 5 other people - all as slow as the next one. manager like dude finally came and helped speed up the line. Ordered soup - while i waited i noticed that this store needs a refresh - super worn and used looking. Ambiance reminds me of a Furrs cafeteria in 1989. At least Furrs had decent soup. Got my soup - bowl - wasn't great - it was soup and i wanted soup so i ate my soup - it's food service soup people - Sysco ? Who knows. Will i go back probably not - also it was super warm inside - but who knows maybe i'll want soup and try something else that's at best "mid" as the kids say. I love this chain of sandwich restaurant and this location is my closest, so I frequent it once a month on average. The last few times have been so disappointing. I don't know if it's because they cannot find quality staff to employ (trust me it's the same issue at JDeli across the way), but a 40 minute wait for a fast food meal is unacceptable. I'm not sure how the franchisee can find staff and improve the overall experience, but I hope by the next visit things are vastly better so I can update my review. read more

I'm all about McAlisters and love Their food, but the staff at this location needs a tune up. The last 3 times we've been here there's been someone high taking orders; something is always messed up or they just don't care enough to pay attention. Tonight just made me laugh, the boy taking our order was clearly stoned and hardly able to function. My husband and I ordered two of the choose two's and both got GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICHES. When our order was brought out they even said "and here is the grilled chicken" , without looking I took a bite and it was the harvest chicken? In both mine and my husband's sandwiches. It made us laugh, how can you get it right on the order, and when you drop it off at the table but still provide the wrong thing? When I brought the plates to the counter to get it swapped the stoned boy told me "at least you get a free sandwich " like okay? I would've loved it to be correct since I won't be eating this one . Even the people around us were commenting about how they seemed out of it. The people we went to dinner with had a different person take their order and even commented saying they were clearly out of it and on something. We love the food and the convenience of this location however the cedar park location is better kept and better ran. read more
