I shop here weekly, and this was one of the most unpleasant and unprofessional interactions I've ever had here or anywhere else. Debbie yelled at me from three registers away while she had several customers in her own line. I didn't even realize her screaming was directed at me. When I finally looked up, she asked if I had a question about the Pokémon cards. I didn't. She asked me again, while she should have been tending to her customers, and again I replied that I did not. I'm not sure what she was implying, but the way she addressed me was unprofessional and offensive. I found it particularly odd because I shop here every week and she has never been someone who seemed concerned about whether customers had questions or needed assistance. When I got to her register, I asked why she felt inclined to yell at me from three registers away. Rather than simply explaining herself, she became extremely combative. She then questioned why I was taking photos of the Pokémon cards. I don't believe I owe her an explanation for taking a photo of merchandise. I was simply sending the photos to my son so he could tell me which packs he wanted, since I know nothing about Pokémon cards. Again, not her business. Then, as her final parting shot, she wouldn't even hand me my receipt. She put it in the basket. I told her that was petty behavior. The entire interaction was unnecessary and completely unprofessional. I hope Aldi will address how this employee treats customers because this experience was unacceptable. read more

I really missed coming to Aldi after moving farther away, so it was a nice surprise to stop by today while I was in the area. I popped in mainly to grab a few Pokémon booster packs--still funny (and awesome) how many grocery stores carry them these days! As always, the fresh produce looked great, and the prices were incredibly economical, perfect for anyone trying to save money without sacrificing quality. This is a nice store, with competitive prices on items other than eggs and half & half. The produce selection is fairly limited, and I've had some items like berries, onions, and potatoes spoil before they should have. Be picky about what you buy in that department. The selection of cheeses and prepared items on the back wall is excellent and very well priced. Their sourdough bread is very good, and the selection of breads is good in general. They have a relatively new store branded version of "Dave's Killer Bread" in several varieties, and not only is it priced much better but I think it's tastier. The so-called "aisle of shame" sometimes has interesting household and clothing items, so is always fun to look through if you have the time. The store is rarely crowded, but sometimes lines are long to check out. Some of the cashiers are super nice and make the experience more enjoyable. read more

Clean, organized and easy to find parking spots. I heard there was a difference with this location vs another one close by so I came here to check it out. Parking was a breeze and with it being a newer location than the one I have been going to, I was definitely expecting it to be nicer and it was. I know there are people saying they have a limited selection, but when comparing this location to another I have seemed to find items that were not at the other store. I love their calzones you just pop in the oven and eat. This trip I tried the cauliflower crust pizza. It was pretty decent! I added extra toppings and it was good. If you are ever curious what people get from Aldi definitely check out social media for inspiration as they have there is a hash tag. I couldn't find my chile peppers, but they had a big bag here so I was happy. I was here getting Bluey socks for my little one...random I know. Stopped in to pick up a loaf of sourdough bread. It's tough to find good sourdough bread in Texas, so I'm happy they opened an Aldi's near me! I like Aldi's because they have some good German brands as well as American ones. Sometimes I can find interesting gifts too. They have good prices, and that's a big help these days! Anytime I'm in Austin I always stop at ALDIs because this is the closest location. I love how simple this store is, they have the essentials that you need for your house. Great selection of foods and snacks at amazing prices! I mainly got snacks because I didn't have a cooler and takes about over an hour and a half to get home and I don't want my food to get nasty. I am a fan of Aldi. They stock some unique items that I'll later see in the gourmet section of a store, but for much higher costs. Some items are worth to get, like mangoes and avocados, which others, like some bread, you can skip. I scour for value and tastebud satisfaction. Their brand of deli cheese are always a hit with the entire household. Sometimes there's one cashier, sometimes multiple. It's just part of their game. I love the gems I find here, especially german chocolate after the holidays. And you can be sure to purchase duck here during the fall time. read more

It's definitely cheaper with some items but first time there with my my mom months ago she was rushed she's almost 80 and until you've gone through with your cart you don't know not to keep original cart they switch it out and mom didn't understand the why she didn't keep her original. Today I got opposite and the divider is what generally divides yours from the next and today's dingy cashier told me to wait because the customer in front of me had a lot of items he was almost done! I moved to other line instead and checked out sooner anyway but she was rude in my opinion. I always assume people are biased because I'm not white but it could just be normal rude she tried to seemingly cover by her exaggerated sarcastically friendly attitude with next customer. She hadn't been consistently like that earlier. Just my perspective! lol read more

Seriously? No reviews yet? This location recently opened in Georgetown. You don't know how lucky you are to have this gem here. For those of you unfamiliar with ALDI, you need a quarter to get a cart. You don't lose your quarter unless you don't take your cart back to the corral after you're done shopping. It's their way of keeping the parking lot free of carts. Take it back, pop the chain back in and get your quarter back. Easy Peasy. Also, bring your own bags. They'll sell you bags or you can grab boxes (kind of like Sam's or Costco). Just bring your reusables and pack your bags at the counter. Don't hold up the lines. Don't get freaked out by the speed of the checkers - it's supposed to be like that so the lines go faster. Great products & prices. It's a small Store - limited stock with primarily house branded items. Meaning lots of stuff, just not lots of one kind of thing. Sometimes they get name brand stuff. But their stuff is great quality - really good. The only thing I've ever tried that was not equal or better was their "Cheerios". They're yucky. Some of my favorites - the Girl Scout cookie knockoffs. Sooooooo good. Their cheeses and other dairy products are great and so much less expensive than the other big box stores. Stocking up on baking basics will save tons of money. I waited a long to me for ALDI to make it to the Austin area and now we have two locations. read more

Big beautiful clean store and frequently manager who helped me find a few things. I would have bought more but I didn't have a quarter haha next time I know Bonus ! Sorry but we found expired/overripe produce.. Employees need to be more customer friendly... Asian girl there at Georgetown store needs to slow down and be personable. Some of the reviews on here are pathetic; people here love to hate on cali but not once when I lived there did I ever deal with the amount of hateful nitpicking and Karen esque behavior that I have here in TX. So onto the business. Aldi is a discount store headquartered in Germany. There's a reason why Germany is just better than us in most things. I do wish they had a location closer to Cedar Park, but for now I drive about a half hour both ways. They're never picked over on the good stuff and have a great collection of items. Of course if you go during peak times they're going to be busy, that's common sense. Not to mention HEB is ALWAYS so much worse. Also them only having 2 employees in the store and them being a German company is the reason they aren't charging $8 for eggs like their competitors, but feel free to go get price gouged because your mom never made you wait on anything. If you can afford that you don't need to be here anyway. As for the comment below on Fremont fish: no they're not based in China and no they don't import from China. Aldi gets a lot of their FRESH SALMON from China because they have been depleted in the wild and would go extinct if we continue to hunt them. Fremont are both wild caught and farmed here in the US with much higher standards than our FDA requires(ironically, China has the same standards we do. There's just more competition there which lowers prices. Gotta love basic economics we should have all learned in middle school but didn't because Texas loves to keep us ignorant :) The rant that follows from that individual just reeks of racism, take of that what you will. Anyways if you're a hardcore right wing prepper with zero common sense who also hates LGBT people(aldi is German. They're not homophobic and never will be) then stay far away from aldi. We're happy to have the store to ourselves However if you're not an absolute Karen: the store is clean, produce is fresh, items are fairly priced and employees are both kind and helpful. They were one of the first in the fight for 15 and treat their employees amazing. Bathrooms are clean and efficient with no line. If you don't want to shop in store you can have it delivered with Instacart.parking lot is great with plenty of parking and several ways out(including my favorite, one that goes to another parking lot so I can avoid a little bit of the main road. Gotta love Texas drivers) The feel when shopping here vs HEB is the same way I feel when shopping at target vs Walmart; I'm less stressed, it's quieter, and it's just a better experience overall I'm also a health/fitness minded person and a mom so it's important to be able to find healthy, protein rich snacks that don't taste like cardboard and bulk items for the kiddos. I'm also a wine lover and many of the wines I've bought from aldi have rivaled wines I've bought at quadruple the price. Just wish Texas would stop letting liquor stores lobby them into keeping prohibition laws so I could buy spirits here too. Overall aldi brings a little bit of the Californian/European spirit to the grocery game and is clearly something Texas needs. Went to get angel hair pasta they have carried forever only to find it gone- replaced with imported varieties like fettuccine, spaghetti and linguine which is fine but not why I made a special trip over 10 miles. Got good prices including a ham at $1.49lb. - all the money saved ok but im disappointed about them not having something I really love and can't find anywhere else. read more

This is one the the cleanest, nicest Aldi I have ever been to. On a Wednesday at noon they were fully stocked with all the promotional weekly items. Checkout was fast and friendly. The bathroom was not hospital-level clean but more what you would expect from a grocery store, but still all I needed. Also, can Trader Joe's study how Aldi creates a parking lot?
