This world market is lowkey STACKED. The candy section is great (bad for my health though). Wish they had more swedish candies but I'm overall happy with the selection! Had a great experience came in to buy about 150 dishes and Allison was my cashier she was patient and helpful with everything I needed!!!

Tried two days in a row and two different locations to buy a dining room set and living room accent chairs and coffee tables. Employees kept telling me I'd have to come another day to get the pieces I wanted because they were too deep inside the warehouse. When I told them I don't mind waiting I was passed on to another team member and told that the team member that was helping me is about to get off so someone new would help me. Then every item I asked for I was told oh I can only sell the floor model. When I asked if I could get a discount due to gouges in the wood. I was told no. Then two more times I was told that I'd have to return a different day because they can't move stuff around in the warehouse while the store is opened. I finally left. I've never had so much trouble trying to willingly spend my money somewhere. read more

We spent way to much time browsing the furniture and food! World Market has so much cool stuff to look at yall. They were super friendly! Stretching for a fun snack pitstop on a cross country road trip brought us to this World Market location. The manager Sara indulged my kids' requests and questions about the euro candies; we left with salted licorice and mochi candy. The one thing about this store that needs help is the bathroom!! You can see new posting has been done in the hall, but the women's restrooms, though hygienic, could use help. For such a nice store the floor should not be in this condition. What a fun store! I came here specifically for sweet German mustard. The only place in town that I could find it. I walked through each food aisle to check out all the items. Some prices were high, but I have not seen any of these items at other places. I had to leave because I would go broke trying all the fun food items. The employees were nice. The place had the front door open so it was a bit stuffy and humid inside, but I had short sleeves on. read more

Really cool place. I headed straight to the wine, beer, and champagne section and they do have some great choices and some unusual choices. I also browsed through the food section and found some really great items such as habanero salsa, assorted hot sauces including ones made with scorpion peppers and the feared Carolina reaper as well. I also saw some food items we use to purchase in Germany such as potato balls and jagerschnitzel gravy. As I walked to this section I did see some neat household decorations and furniture as well. This location is well stocked and organized, but it's not always easy to find assistance. I do appreciate their large beer and wine selection and if you sign up for their email program, you'll get some great offers throughout the year for 30%-40% off. They have some imports that are hard to find elsewhere. Their coffee is a great item to purchase by getting the whole-bean large bags and making it last. The customer service was awful. No urgency to anything they do. They actually acted like I was imposing on them. The manager said it would take 20 minutes to get a chair and ended up taking more than 40. At one point I said I would come back and get it, but they were only going to give me a receipt and not note that it hadn't been picked up. They could just say I had already picked it up. The sales clerk was irritated after 30 minutes when I asked her if she could check and see how much longer it was going to take. When the manager rolled the box up it was large and asked if I needed help getting it to my car. Obviously, she rolled it out to my car as I was putting my seats down and asked if I needed help loading and I said no. She just walked away. No "Thank you" or "Have a good day." I work in retail and was so disappointed in this retail experience. Won't be back to this location. read more

I love World Market - it is one of my favorite stores. Not only do they have really cute items and great deals all the time, but the customer service is exceptional. They have a ton of deals all the time - major discounts like 40-60% off furniture, home decor, etc. They also have a rewards program that allows you to earn $10 credits. Those $10 credits plus their huge discounts have helped me get some furniture for CHEAP, like hundreds off. Their furniture is really durable - I've never had any furniture from their break, and it's good quality and long lasting. I have had dining tables, chairs, bookshelves, wall shelves, laptop table, bar cart, nightstands, hanging lamps/lanterns, etc. Seriously have purchased a ton - and outside of that, have also purchased a lot of home decor stuff and kitchenware/dinnerware. I have some glasses, bowls, coffee mugs, etc. Their lotions, bath salts + oils, soaps, etc smell DIVINE. I must look crazy when I'm there because I always spend a good 5-10 minutes smelling (and re-smelling) all of their soaps. And what makes everything better is their customer service - they recognize you when you go often, remind you of coupons/sales/deals, hold stuff for you if needed, have made returns easy, have called other stores to find things I'm looking for, etc. Really love this place - it is one of my happy places! read more

We have a close friend that has to drink decaf coffee and she loves flavored coffees, not many retailers sell that these days, so we were pleasantly surprised when we ran up on some decaf turtle flavored coffee, we've looked at numerous coffee shops, H.E.B. and other major stores...nada....the coffee guy at Spec's even told us they quite making any of it because they couldn't sell enough of it. First of all, I had not been inside a World Market in forever, and I'm so excited to return because I forgot what an incredible selection of awesome stuff they have! Second, a tall blonde girl (whose name unfortunately I did not catch) initially attempted to help me look up on her device the item that I was desperately seeking, unfortunately to no avail, and ultimately checked me out for my purchases, and she was a fine example of great customer service. Most importantly, I came in right before close looking for something very specific that seemed to be out of stock, and, while attempting to spot it myself, Jackie graciously helped me look for it, and then when we could not find it, she went to the back to look for any remaining inventory and discovered that there were some left. It was a hot item, so it was not likely to remain in stock at all. Moral of the story: Jackie went above and beyond to help me out to find the special thing that I needed, and she was super-gracious and -friendly during the whole process. She was just an incredible example of excellent customer service. She deserves a raise or a promotion or at least recognition by her boss. Thank you, Jackie and World Market! So I go to World Market today and have every intention of buying quite a few things. There is a huge sign in the window stating all holiday food gifts are 40% off. I could not find anything that was 40% off so I find an associate who tells me it's up to 40% and that the sign says that. The girl then tells me most is 25% off. I check out the sign again and let another associate know and she tells me they are aware and they have notified corporate but they can't help me. They will not honor it. I go to World Market after the gym every weekend. While squatting and squeezing and pressing I'm thinking about one thing: what is World Market going to let me taste today. I hit the jackpot here a few weeks ago. There was a tasting of at least 10 different chocolates; you will not believe me, but the sea salt dark chocolate is the best flavor mix ever. Some discounted wine is not only crazy affordable prices, but they had a tasting station for them. Yummy bread for olive oil tasting? Yes, thank you. And I'll add that to my basket, too. I signed up for their free membership list. On my birthday, they sent me a $10 off coupon. They were also running some ridiculous sale on jewelery and peripherals. I got the most awesome jewelry organizer ever, and admire it as though I hand-shaped that metal myself. Do you know what it's like, to not have your necklaces all a tangled disaster? I do. The staff is relentless in their awesomeness. My gymed out mess does nothing to deter them from being kind. Join their Facebook page, too. Now that I work within walking distance of one, we've been in a few times and here's the highlights: -They have a REALLY FUN food section. Lots of different sauces, chocolate bars, interesting side dishes, cheeses, and tons of wine and beer (and wine and beer related accessories). -If you're looking for a present, this is a great place to find something quirky, fun, and unique. -The cashiers/staff are really friendly. Came here because I heard they sell Tim Tams. If you ever heard of the "Tim Tam Slam," you definitely need these little chocolate bars of heaven in your life (Google or YouTube this if you don't know what I'm talking about). I slam it with hot hazelnut coffee and the chocolate just melts in my mouth. For some reason, they're sold at this store under the name Arnott's. Grab a bunch. (Note: Target sells seasonal Tim Tam's from Pepperidge Farm, but Arnott's are the real deal. You can really taste the difference). Err wait, this is about Cost Plus World Market, huh? Right-o. Every visit to this location brings major delays either with employees not being trained to operate the register or not enough employees to check people out it lastly some coupon that's not working right. Kinda like a Pier 1...only I can actually afford stuff here. Did I mention they have beer and wine? This place has all kinds of little hidden gems at affordable prices. The beer and wine selection is wide and affordable. Stemware and cookware are good quality and also very affordable. They have a great selection of international snacky foods and all sorts of funky little knick knack and home items. Think of Hobby Lobby in a smaller frame but with bigger muscles...kind of like Franco Columbu. For you youngsters, he was a world class bodybuilder of smaller stature. I rarely buy products from here (I find them slightly overpriced) but always leave with tons of food, candy, wine, and beer. They have a good selection of gluten-free beer & cider to boot. Never going back THERE again. Prices were supposed to be geared for THE FURNITURE SALE OF THE YEAR..... Not!!! And the selection??? BAD. And I can't forget to mention how bad is smells in this place. I found nothing in the 30-45 minutes I spent HOPING I would. Avoid...... skip.... use your time better by going to Pier 1 Imports.. That is a great shopping experience there. I service is very friendly here, however. Two employees went on the hunt with me when I was beginning to think I was maybe just not finding things. It's hard to tell which "dept" you're in. I have always been a fan of world market but I've never been that wowed by the customer service until recently when I visited this location. An employee at another location said an item I wanted was unavailable in their location but Round Rock had "many in stock". I live right between the two locations so I didn't mind making the trip up to the RR store in order to grab some shelves and brackets rather than waiting a week to get them in the mail. Upon my arrival I was pretty disappointed to discover that the item was actually not at all available at this location either. The manager on duty, Darby, looked high and low for the brackets and really went out of her way to make things right, apologizing profusely for the mistake made by another store rather than shifting blame and blowing me off. Although I didn't get what I came for I didn't leave disgruntled thanks to her kindness. The Round Rock world market is now my go to location and I cannot recommend them enough. read more

A friend brought me here today and I think that this might be one of my new favorite places to shop! Tired of the usual Kohl's type stuff but don't want to pay artisan prices? This seemed to be a good medium between the two. I found a lot of really neat things that I wanted to buy - I didn't buy them but still.. it has been a while since I have seen so many things that were unique, different and pretty fairly priced. My friend and I walked through the store twice, it was a great place to just walk around. They also have a ton of food and wine. I did buy some interesting looking wines, and I did join their points club. Free wine and coffee tastings happen on certain days here as well. Ok, what's not fun about World Market.....so many interesting items. Stopped in to see about snacks and some pieces of furniture to round out the master bedroom and home office. The store down in Austin didn't have the display items in inventory but recommended trying the Round Rock store (I'll warn you the companys inventory system isn't exact, if they think there is one or two items at another store, that isn't a guarantee...but they admit this and thats good). Lucky for me they did have two of the three items I was looking for and placed the item that wasn't there on "Rain Check" order status (holding me to no obligation once it arrived, but they'd hold it for me). I also found a 25% discount on-line that was to be in effect the following day, but they let me use it a day early because I had driven from Temple. Customer Serivce!
