Just the thought of bed bugs sends me into a mentally tortuous place. I've lived in NYC for many years and this is the 2nd time I've had a bed bug inspection. The first time was definitely not as professional or thorough as Doctor Sniffs was. I moved into a new apartment, it looked clean, walls were recently painted white and I honestly didn't even think about the possibility of bed bugs being there. Fast forward...1 month after moving in I started to get bites, I immediately thought "bed bugs!". So I called the management company and they denied any possibility of bed bugs. Then I went away on trip for a week and my bites subsided, which made me wonder if there are bed bugs. When I came back from the trip I could have sworn I saw a bed bug running near pillow. I did not act correctly, (calmly) and in my emotional state the bug I saw got away from me and I couldn't find it. My mattress and box spring are both encased and my frame is a light color, I tried to find evidence but did not see anything. I called Diana and she came with Goosey that same day. Goosey sniffed all over and alerted near my bed, outlet behind my bed, and the wall behind my bed. After Goosey's alerts Diana tied her to my door handle so she could start looking for evidence. Within minutes Diana saw a fecal matter dot next to framed piece of artwork above my bed. I never even noticed this black dot. She got out the test kit called Bed Bug Blue and it was positive for bed bug fecal matter. Then she asked me to slowly and gently take that artwork off of the wall and face the back towards her. She found a big adult bed bug RUNNING behind the painting. Then found more evidence behind the art and near the outlet. I felt like screaming and crying but could not have gotten through this without Goosey's and Diana's help. I was able to give this evidence to the management company. While I was in the midst of getting treated I found out from someone on my floor that the people who lived in my apartment before me were throwing everything out and carrying things out in bags. If you want an inspection that is personal, caring, and thorough you cannot go wrong in hiring this amazing bed bug inspection team! read more

Diana and Goosey were so wonderful. I saw a bed bug in the morning and was panicking all morning until they came to my apartment and assured me it would be ok. Diana searched my apartment visually. She was incredibly thorough and looked at every nook and cranny in my apartment and furniture. She moved my mattress, box spring, all my furniture and made sure she didn't miss any spots at all. Then Goosey sniffed all the areas after the visual inspection. Diana was great at directing Goosey in where to search. In the end, Goosey noticed something in my work bag, which indicated that i brought the bug home from work and caught it soon because there were no other indications of an inspection. Diana took a picture of the bed bug I found and sent it to a bed bug entomologist to determine if it is a male of female bug. She advised me about how to prevent bringing in more bed bugs and treated my apartment. After the inspection, Diana sent me a detailed report of the inspection. She turned a panic filled day into one that was very manageable. Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Everything you want when your in bed bug crisis mode. Thank you, Diana! read more

I cannot express enough how helpful Goosey (the bed bug dog) and Diana were, they turned what started out as a living nightmare into a manageable situation. I know there is no "best part" to this but now we have a solution to what was biting us and leaving horrible welts for the last month. Goosey, alerted near the head of our bed. Diana didn't find evidence until she took off a piece of artwork that was above the bed. There were 2 bed bugs sitting on the back of this art. Diana immediately got out some tape and caught them. We plan to show these to our building management company who refused to believe that we had bed bugs. Diana also did a thorough visual search of the mattress and box spring. The only evidence she could find was fecal matter underneath the box spring, she used some sort of test kit to confirm this. I am so glad that no bed bugs were found anywhere else within my apartment. I decided to treat every room anyway but just knowing that the dog didn't find any bed bugs hiding on the couch is such a relief. This bed bug inspection was a necessary step to move onto a treatment plan. read more

I had gotten many bug bites when sleeping at my mother's apt. and told her I couldn't stay there one more night - unless we had a professional come and check for the dreaded bed bug. We contacted Doctor Sniffs mainly because of all the wonderful reviews. Well - the team consisting of Rick and dogs Southy and Goosey were everything we could have asked for and more. Super professional, super knowledgable and competent and super nice. All three did a thorough search of the apartment - and the consensus - "No Bedbugs!" It was an unbelievable relief. Rick talked to us about what else could be the problem - gave us some great tips to prevent bedbugs and told us to keep in touch. And he has already checked in with me a few times. And a bonus too... My mother was so taken with the dogs - she kept exclaiming "This is like a show!" Seeing the dogs so focused and doing their thing, thoroughly sniffing and investigating the apartment - was all pretty amazing! Thank you Dr. Sniffs!! read more

Goosey and Diana were life savers in a moment of horror. This is the second time living in NYC I've dealt w having bed bugs. Upon spotting one in my bedroom I scheduled Goosey to come w Diana. He was a great dog and alerted to all areas in the bed room where we had bed bugs. Additionally he alerted to the couch and Diana found a live bed bug. Goosey confirmed my worst fears but at least he made the problem seem manageable and to specific areas. If you are concerned you have bed bugs, use a dog it's much more full proof than looking yourself. We have been exterminated and taken all the helpful tips Diana suggested and are waiting the 30 day period before Goosey can come back to inspect again. Diana and Goosey are worth hiring and they are both very well trained. They caught a problem before it became bigger. If you fear you have bed bugs I would highly recommend them, they are great. read more

I had an excellent experience with Doctor Sniff's and highly recommend their bedbug detection service. Diana texted me back within minutes of my first phone call to her, arranged an appointment on short notice and arrived punctually. She and the dog, Goosey, performed a swift and accurate assessment of the situation in my apartment, and promptly provided comprehensive documentation that I could send to my landlord with my request for extermination. Diana's communication was clear, timely and consistent throughout, and her expertise in both dog handling and bed bugs is evident. Doctor Sniff's is not associated with an exterminator, so Diana can provide unbiased advice about what your next steps should be. Don't hesitate to call Doctor Sniff's if you suspect you have bed bugs, or want solid confirmation that you don't have them. The peace of mind is well worth every penny! read more

Having bed bugs definitely sucks, literally, and is a rather stressful inconvenience, which if not identified and handled appropriately, can spiral into an even larger overwhelming problem, as I have experienced. And so I highly, highly recommend Diana and Goosey, if you are in need of inspection for bed bugs. Diana exemplifies everything you would want when dealing with this type of situation. Her professionalism and in depth knowledge of her field is second to none and honestly has made handling this nuisance about as good as it could be. Goosey has 2 prestigious national certifications, which not all bug sniffing dogs have. Dianas attention to detail was quite prevalent during my home inspection and the information she willingly passes on was invaluable. I honestly cannot speak much higher praise for dealing with a contractor during this troublesome experience. read more

Diana is simply THE BEST. She has been incredibly supportive to me during my bed bug fight. If you are dealing with these bugs are scared and feeling alone, you need Diana on your side. When I first called Doctor Sniffs for an inspection, they asked me to send pictures and describe the signs I was seeing, and based on that, they told me I didn't even need an inspection, I should save my money and just go to treatment. They are NOT out to take your money or sell you services you don't need! I wanted to know for sure, so Diana and Southy came over and told me exactly where the bugs were in my place. I've texted Diana many times since the inspection, with various questions/pictures/etc., and she is always quick to respond and so thorough. She also followed up to see how we are doing - they are worth every penny. Thank you Diana and team for being my ally in this battle! read more

Diana was an absolute breeze to work with and during a time of such distress and so many unknowns, I felt like I was in the best of hands. She shifted around her schedule so she and Goosey could come to my apartment on the same day. She was meticulous and clearly knew her stuff. I quickly learned that not all bed bug professionals are created equal, and the entire industry is rather murky in terms of finding honest professionals to do the job. Not Diana. She and Goosey clearly know what they're doing (Goosey is W.D.D.O. certified, Diana is a CCPDT certified dog trainer -- and it shows!) but she also clearly CARES about her work and her clients. It's very obvious. Not to mention, Goosey is the cutest dog around! Just remember, you have to wait to play with her until after her work is completed ;-) Thank you again Diana and Goosey! read more

I can't recommend Doctor Sniffs highly enough! Diana and Ecko were amazing; the care and attention Diana showed when visiting our apartment on incredibly short (same day) notice -- from taking the time to explain everything that goes into the inspection process, to showing us the "test sniff" she ran with Ecko, to sharing how canines are trained to spot bedbugs --turned a stressful situation into something that was almost relaxing (very much helped by the fact that we were thankfully bedbug-free). Ecko is the friendliest, most gentle pup, yet super eager to do her search, and together with Diana, their thoroughness and attention to detail have given us back much needed peace of mind, and I can't thank them enough! If you have bedbugs, or think you might, call them now! read more

I had Goosey and Diana come back to my apartment to make sure the bed bugs were gone, this is because I wasn't reacting to the bugs biting me so I could never be really sure that the pest control treatment killed them all. I was so paranoid thinking that I still had them, I was imagining them hiding and me not seeing any evidence. I do not think I would have been able to sleep if I didn't get an all clear from Goosey. Goosey is so cute, she sniffed all over including the area where she found evidence the last time. This time she did not find any bed bugs and now it's been a few months since my final inspection and I am so happy that I spent the money for the peace of mind. Knowing me I'll probably have them come back at the end of the year. Lol. read more

A relative in the NYC area wanted to move some belongings to my home and I thought it best to have his apartment checked before storing items in my basement. Diana was so pleasant and efficient, and she smoothly coordinated the appointment. She described the certification process and how her business excelled in this area. I very much appreciated that she was able to schedule a visit promptly as my relative was under a deadline. No bedbugs were found which was reassuring and Diana sent photos to me of Southy at work along with a written report. She also had a phone call with me and gave me some additional tips to avoid unwanted pests. Diana is a good, hardworking person and I was sorry not to meet her and Southy. Highly, highly recommended. read more

Found this company through one of their videos on bed bugs. I thought the video stood out from all the info there is out there. When I texted them they spent A LOT of time assessing my situation and told me I had identified the bugs in question incorrectly. At first I was dubious because I was convinced that I was finally experiencing the bed bug nightmare. It turned out that they were correct. I have avoided the need to have the treatment. Really appreciate their knowledge and honesty. Rick was helping me out and could not have been more patient and focused on my "evidence." The only disappointment is that I didn't get to meet the dog! read more

How wonderful to work with Diana and Goosey!! We are amazed and grateful. The dog was super conscientious and serious about meticulously sniffing everywhere in the apt. several times. Diana was so careful to look for any signs of a problem. Goosey found a hidden tester vial twice that Diana put in the room while Goosey was tied to the door and couldn't see her. It was fascinating to witness their skills and a tremendous relief to know we don't have a bedbug problem to worry about!! Thank you so much Diana and Goosey! We have passed your card on to building mgt. and will highly recommend you to everyone we know!! read more

I highly recommend Dr Sniffs. I am an extremely anxious person and a neat freak. Out of all the people in the world I would never ever think it was possible for me to have bed bugs. Dr. Sniffs was amazing. She answered every single text and explained in length answers to all my questions. When they came to my house they were so patient with me and I they did a thorough search of my whole house. In addition, they entered my home discreetly because I was embarrassed for my neighbors to see I had bedbugs. I highly recommend them for their professionalism and personal touch. read more

Called Diane on a Saturday after spotting a potential bedbug. She examined my pic and verified it was. Then said I didn't need her services as we already know we have them. Then referred me to a very reasonably priced professional named Erick who came and did the first of two extermination visits. Waiting for my second one next week. Diane was friendly, gave free advice and referral without trying to squeeze me for a fee. Another service would have sent the poor pooches to work just to get paid. Call her first before the rest. Thanks Diane! read more

One of my roommates got bed bugs about a month ago and I moved into a temporary home before moving to my new apartment. Diana and her dog, Goose inspected my storage unit and car before I made the move and they were incredibly thorough, informative and easy to work with. We were relieved to find no signs of bed bugs. I would recommend this service to anyone who even has the slightest thought they may have bed bugs. It's totally worth the peace of mind!! Diana was also very easy to communicate with and reasonably priced read more

I had such a wonderful experience with Doctor Sniffs! They were extremely thorough, professional, and knowledgeable, and put my fears at ease about a possible presence of BBs in my home. Rick arrived promptly, asked pertinent questions, and did a very thorough visual inspection in addition to the search with his certified K-9. I highly recommend Doctor Sniffs to anyone suspecting they may have a BB issue, or if you just need peace of mind after traveling. While my home turned up clean, it was definitely money well spent! read more

I wanted to check my apartment with a certified canine team for bed bugs because bed bugs were found in my workplace. I found Diana online and made an appointment for the the next day. Diana and Goosey arrived on time and thoroughly searched my whole apartment and Goosey didn't alert to anything. Diana then did a visual check on my bed and sofa, searching for evidence for bed bug activity - and she didn't find anything, except for a few carpet beetles. What a relief! I highly recommend them. read more
