This was one of a couple options I could find. We attempted to dine here for dinner on a previous occasion but it was a long wait at that time so we went elsewhere. This time we showed up around 10:15am on a Saturday in June, and we were quoted 90 minutes for two people. Fortunately there was room at the bar, so we were seated immediately. The decor is very clean and subtlety higher end. It is an open floor plan with the bar towards the front door, which is also accessible from the large patio (in cooler weather times) that has mister fans and a lot of shade. They have one of the nicest and cleanest restrooms in the valley, with complementary sea salt scrub and high end paper napkins. They also have a couple luxurious event spaces, one of which was hosting an engagement party. My mom tried a non alcoholic drink special with decaffeinated tea and fresh juices, with a little flower on top. She also tried the avocado toast. She enjoyed both but she said the avocado toast was a little spicy, albeit she has an extremely low tolerance for spice. I opted for the breakfast sandwich and black coffee. The coffee came in a neat mug with an oversized handle that was very ergonomic. It was good, but slightly watery. Was at least comforting to know it wasn't laced with tons of pesticides like most restaurants' coffee. The egg, bacon and avocado sandwich was delicious. The egg and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the bread was nice and soft but not too dry. The greens on the side were fresh with a nice vinaigrette. The service was excellent, all of the staff were friendly and seemed to be happy to be there. All in all I was impressed with this place. The only thing I wish they had on their brunch menu was an omelette, because this is first place I have been in a very long time that isn't a fine dining establishment, where they actually know how to cook eggs properly. They were fluffy, moist, and light. I don't bring this up as a brag, but I attended culinary school and learned proper scrambled egg (French style) technique years ago. This is the first place I've been in a long time that gives my eggs a run for their money.

I asked the waitress about the chicken and she advised that they are smoked and will appear pink from that, so not to be alarmed, but are moist and really flavorful. While the filet was tempting (and what everyone else at my table ordered), I wanted something lighter. Thankfully I was not disappointed in my selection. The chicken was as delicious as described and could be cut with a fork. The Caesar salad was well dressed, but not soggy. Do I think it was worth the money to add the chicken? A bunch of us from my spin class decided to get together for a farewell brunch for one of the gals in my Cycle class. She's a snow bird, coming to Arizona for the cooler months, and was headed home for the summer. I ordered the Bloody Goode Time ($14), shared the Porch Teatime ($45) with the table, and I ordered the Porch's Famous Mac + Cheese ($12, cavatappi pasta, four-cheese blend, with toasted parmesan bread crumbs). I had their Bloody Goode Time at their DT Gilbert location and enjoyed it so much that I got it again. It's a super savory drink that feels like a meal in itself. The Porch Teatime, we had green tea shots instead of Jamesame orange, came in a tiny teapot the server poured out into six tiny tea cups. It was adorable. About thirty minutes later, we realized we had accidentally left behind several valuable items, including some with significant sentimental value. When we returned, Kate had already secured them and was waiting to return them to us. Her honesty, initiative, and attention to detail turned what could have been a stressful situation into a lasting impression. Restaurants are remembered for more than their food. Kate's service is the reason we'll be back.

The bread was like a fruit bread - actually its a spiced pear bread - which is delicious! The wife got the Chicken Club and sweet potato fries, also stating it was one of the nicest sandwiches she has had in a while. We swapped our sandwich halves to get a taste of each and we both rolled our eyes in delight - both were fresh , very tasty and not over-stuffed, making them easier to eat!
