This place is a national treasure. Best burger in the world. Coldest beer in the state.

Great local favorite that has been around for ages! This is a full bar that serves up the best prices in town! Get in here for cold beer and great prices and don't be shy! Try the food too, Terry and his crew will hook you up, proper! You can play some pool or watch a game on one of the tvs. Darts and jukebox are inside too. Remember to bring quarters for the pool table and don't forget to bring a few friends!!!

This is a very cool hidden bar! Me and the bestie came last night since we both had a hard week, and were in need of fried food and ice cold drinks. We got a pitcher of IPA to share, as well as a few shots. I love that they serve your beer in a chilled mug! The shots were tasty, had the Starburst and lemon drop. Food was very good, and so cheap! We had the fried pickles, fried Mac and cheese, mozzarella sticks, and fish and chips. The service was as good as it could be for being a busy Friday night, and only 1 server working. Will definitely be coming back !

Nice lil hidden dive bar.. ice cold beer on tap just like I love it! Got a little sampler basket with fried poppers, mushroom, rolled taquitos and gator tots it was ok as bar food gets, but I would definitely be back for my cold dos xx on draft and the nice service ...

    When does the kitchen close?

The grill closes at midnight, which is one of the latest food options that you will find in a bar in the area. Having said that, don't come in at 12:01 and expect them to cook because that usually won't happen. To be safe, I would make sure that I… Read more

Chupacabra was open, was a three-minute drive, and had excellent reviews. So my decision was made. I parked on the street for free a minute away on foot. Ambiance (3.5/5): Pretty much your typical beer bar. Relatively small inside, but they also have a patio out front with picnic style seating. Casual. My type of bar. My only complaint? I hate picnic style seating because it doesn't give you back support. Which made me want to avoid the patio. Service (5/5): Super friendly service. The guy working the bar did a great job. I ordered one beer and called it a night. A seamless experience from beginning to end. They also have complimentary water in a water cooler, which is always a nice ou Food (N/A): I read they have food trucks, but I didn't see any when I visited. I had dinner prior anyway. Drinks (4.5/5): I love trying new beers and Chupacabra has an excellent selection. They have a rotating screen above the bar. Some interesting brews, ranging from local craft brews to quality European beers. This is not the type of place that has your typical assortment of mediocre beers. You'll find a lot better here. Overall, a cool spot in downtown Mesa. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the neighborhood!

My first pint was a Hefeweizen. It had a slight waxy mouthfeel. My second pint was an oatmeal stout. At 7.3% ABV it was a tad strong, but it went down very smoothly. Expert tip; it's a popular restaurant area, skydive or avoid Friday and Saturday and miss all the fun! Atmosphere 5/5 Rating is based on how I envisioned an Irish Pub & Sports bar. In that regard it did not disappoint. It was loud and crowded with cheering fans in every room. What I observed is patrons who were having fun connecting with friends, family and strangers for food at theirs teams. We were invited by Irish friends who cherish the memories of pubs, loud crowds, Ale's, cabbage and corned beef comfort foods. My score is based in observing them having a great time not mine because I couldn't hear myself think, Service 5/5 We had a wonderful Ladis named Meghan as our server tonight. Happy and full of smiles. She made sure we were tea's were topped and table well taken care of. She was fantastic throughout. Food 4/5 Full disclosure I'm foodie curious and a cultural adventurer but an Irish Pub wasn't on my list. I'm a German Italian who loves Italian, French and especially Asian cuisine. Flavors, spices, sauces and yes noodles. What dis we order, it was easy, they had burgers but everyone does. They had corned beef and cabbage but I settle md on the shepherds pie and iced tea which happened to be today's special. It was hearty and filling and ok. I prefer broiler crusted mashed on top. Our friends had a fish and a Ruben dinner which they enjoyed and my wife had the meatloaf which was ok. We enjoyed our Artichoke Spinach dip appetizer. Tonight's highpoint's was our server and watching others enjoying themselves amongst community and their teams. $70.14 for two with tip. Corned Beef & Cabbage and a pint my Friends? SYOY!

There are so many breweries and pubs around here that there's pretty tough competition. As other reviewers have stated, their duck fat fries are great! So crispy and the herbs really elevate it. They can be a little heavy handed with the salt to the point where you may see salt piles on your fries, but at least the salt granules are larger and can be easily swept off. Although their fries are great on their own, they unfortunately struggle to strand up when loaded. I'm not sure how they do it, but we've been to places where fries can remain crispy even when loaded with toppings. Their poutine is still tasty though if you don't mind your fries soggy. Their burgers have great beefy flavor, but after trying a few of their burger options, my partner and I also feel that some other places do their unique burger stylings a bit better. A lot of the toppings overwhelm rather than contribute to the overall burger. There's plenty of searing both indoors and out. You have bar top, high table, and regular table style seating for indoors. There's plenty of 4 person tables outdoors under shade and also with misters on if it's hot out. Indoor seating offers plenty of viewing for sports. Service is also pleasant. Due to how they source their ingredients, the overall menu is on the pricier side. Although my partner and I prefer other breweries more, we do think it's still worth it to try visiting Arizona Wilderness Brewing at least once.
