SO nobody is calling a plumber because things are going great, right? We woke up to shower for work at 5:15am only to discover that our tankless hot water heater had died! No hot water. There are 5 (!) of us in our house, so needless to say, this was an emergency. We called about 10 plumbers and had very inconsistent follow through (3 never even showed. one came and said he needed to get something to do the estimate (?) and never returned. two said they would have a technician call and then never heard anything). Needless to say, we were panicked. Enter Do Right Plumbing: Called back, confirmed a time and then our hero Dakota showed up! Dressed in the company's spiffy old time-y uniform, he was super friendly and efficient, gave us a very reasonable quote, and COULD start right away! He dashed to get what he needed, he called TWICE to let us know where he was in the process of getting all of the needed supplies so we would know what was going on. Dakota returned and worked efficiently for several hours, occasionally giving us updates. He finished the job and BAM, we were back in business. We are customers for life! Thank you Do Right and Dakota! read more

I wish I could give a minus-star rating. Do Right Plumbers offers a service to drain a water heater annually. This is a total scam. I made an appointment but was called several times that there would be a delay but promised a later times. Finally, I was told that service would not happen that day but promised to be the first appointment the following Friday. Did not happen. I asked for a refund of the fee I paid. I have called several times since April 14th. Frances always promised a refund. The check was never in the mail. read more

We had Do It Right Plumbers out to inspect a possible foundation leak. Dakota Dulmage arrived promptly and conducted a leak check. Dakota was extremely polite and professional during the entire visit. After a full inspection it was determined there was no leak. At the very least, outside of a professional employee, you can add honesty as well! Great professional member of this company. I would recommend them for any project! read more

Very unprofessional. Scheduled an appointment from 8-9am. Plumber didn't show up. Called and was given the excuse he went to some other job. Was told he could come to my place sometime after 11 or so. I took off work just to have them jeep me around. read more

We have needed a plumber numerous time in the past 6 months with the many problems in our newly purchased home in Laguna Niguel. Fortunately, our son recommended Do It Right Plumbers right away. Our wonderful plumber, Dakota, is always on time and so kind and respectful. We completely trust his knowledge. He once again saved us today diagnosing our stinky kitchen sink problem to be caused by our old water heater. Dakota worked all day and installed a tankless water heater. We can not thank him enough and are so grateful to the Do It Right Plumbers team, including schedulers, for their professionalism. We are so grateful for the seamless service. read more

I've used this company once before and that visit was timely and the plumber was professional. I had to have a sink faucet replaced and a shower faucet fixed. The work was completed and it was a good job. It was more expensive than I expected and in retrospect more than it probably should have been. None the less, it was done right, and I accepted the quote. Today, I scheduled time to come back out for another repair and a second appt turned in to a long wait and ultimately a cancellation. The communication was not great on when they would be out. If your going to be expensive, you should at least be timely. I'm trying somebody else. I see other good reviews on yelp and a few bad ones. I'd say that was my experience exactly. read more

Zero Stars....not one. The won't give me a price range estimate on the phone. They close by saying to obligation until they arrive, so I said OK. No show on Thursday, no show on Friday AM, and they finally make it on Friday afternoon, $350 for to install a customer supplied facet on a kitchen sink. Another company quoted me $140, but I had already booked these guys. I figured they would be competitive, but they're not. read more

Christ came out for a estimate said will give me a price in the same day or early next morning. But I call back the next day to find out the prices, still no answer. Leave a message to contact me, still no answer or call back. Just bad communication, even you can't do the job you still contact me to let me know. I was very disappointed, seem like a nice gentleman but I guess not. read more

Do It Right's plumber, Walt, arrive on-time and quickly performed the repair enabling us to restore water to our house. He was professional, competent, and friendly. He even laughed at a couple of my jokes. Highly recommended. read more

DO NOT USE THEM ! I called them for a clogged kitchen and laundry room sink that is on the same line. They gave me a time frame and I waited and waited. I called them and they said they were still at another job but would be there and gave another time frame. They still didn't show. So finally they came out looked at the clog and quoted me a price of 310 for a clogged drain. Against my better judgment I said ok. The guy supposedly unclogged it. I went to do a load of laundry the next thing I know. My sink is still backed up so they came back. That is when the said the pipe was cracked and needed replacing. They then gave me a quote for over 5200.00 we said no. I had another plumber come out replaced the cracked pipe for 900$ he said the other pipe was still clogged and to get them back out. I had two plumbers come they unclogged it but said since I had rice in the drain (connects to kitchen sink) that they would not come out again. read more

More things to love about DIRP! Project completion update! After a year we were finally able to get our floors tiled and ready for the final phase of our plumbing project. I called DIRP to get referrals for tilers. Don not only gave great referrals for tiling but also offered to help my Mom and I out if there was anything their company could do to help during the lockdown. Picking up groceries, prescriptions, toilet paper even! Incredible! It's not everyday a business reaches out and cares at this level. We were given a referral for OC HandyCrew to install tiling and they did phenomenal work, highly recommend! Once the tile was set DIRP immediately sent Chris and a fantastic pro crew who installed our toilets. They also suggested an ADA toilet for my Mom, which I never would have thought of and Edan gave a great price, very grateful. Everyone was wearing masks and all compliant with the new health and safety guidelines. Perfect score for DIRP from beginning to project end. Edan and his company are striving to do and doing all the right things to create a trusting, impeccable high quality service for Orange County with proper ethics, professionalism and integrity. We are forever grateful and extremely happy to have selected DIRP and will always be their customer! Thank you! read more

I called to get help with the water pressure issues for my new fridge and Darryl W. came to the rescue within a few hours. Quick and professional. Would definitely call them again with any other plumbing issues. read more

So my last review I gave them three stars because they kept rescheduling. So this is really an update. I have to give them 5 stars now because they read my review and made it right. I was expecting to just never do business with them ever again, but the owner called my husband and told him that they had a nice chat about not canceling bookings. We scheduled for the plumber to come out yesterday morning. The man was here by 9 and apologized for our past experiences. He checked and cleaned our tank less water heater and was done within an hour. I am impressed at how they handled this situation. read more

I used the Home Advisor to select Do It Right Plumbers and received an immediate response for an estimate to replace a water heater. Buddy L. showed up on-time (actually we rescheduled for an earlier appointment) and quoted a price for a replacement water heater after confirming that the water heater was in fact the problem - no hot water pressure due to an internal (old water heater) blockage. Buddy was very professional and outlined my replacement options. I decided to go ahead with the water heater replacement and Buddy did so expediently. I would use Do It Right Plumbers again, but would specifically ask for Buddy again. From some of the other reviews here, it appears that you need specifically request an experienced plumber to address your plumbing needs and then you will more likely be satisfied with the outcome. Thanks again Buddy! read more

I called and received great customer service. The technician Eric was great, knowledgeable, honest and very friendly. This is a company I will use permanently. I am very pleased with all that this company has to offer. read more

Today I just had a service technician come out to see why my water heater stopped working working. The boss Edan Bar-Lev seemed fine on the phone and said he could get someone here between 8:00 - 8:30. The technician Saul showed up right on time at 8:30 and he was friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to relight my water heater within 2 minutes after adjusting a wire and the vent. It's a rental so my landlord was to be billed. 10 min after Saul left i get a call from him saying his boss Edan told him to charge me $385 for the visit. He said his boss told him to charge a flat rate for the visit, which he told me nothing of when we spoke. That whether he was here for 3hrs or 5 min it should be the same. $385 for a 5 min job comes out to $7,700/hr. I contacted Edan to voice my concern and outrage and he has yet to respond and instead made Saul spend his night contacting me. For a company called Do It Right. Edan doesn't seem to do right by his customers or his employee for that matter. So if you're considering this company I'd reconsider or at least be aware of this $385 flat rate read more

James and Do It Right Plumbers have my highest recommendation. Professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and just plain good people. They do not take advantage by profiteering from your plumbing problem. Instead, they do the opposite: they solve the problem fairly, as quickly as possible, with expert judgment at a reasonable price. You can trust James and Do It Right Plumbers for both simple and complex jobs. Not only will be help you, but he is personable too, and he lives up to his great reputation. Let's say that they should be called Do It Wrong Plumbing. Was referred to them by HomeAdvisor.com. They were very quick to respond and gave me a same day appointment between 2.30 and 3.30 pm. My wife waited at home for them to show up but ended up being a NO SHOW, called them several times to find out as why they had not shown up . Finally got a call letting up know that they will not be showing up as they were too busy and would give me a $50 discount for the next time I call them . There will not be a next time , these guys can't even keep an appointment. Too bad can't give them a Zero star. read more

Update on following information: As anticipated, company called within 45 minutes of my posts on various home services websites. They were very apologetic and refunded all the labor costs. I made the unfortunate choice of selecting this company and their Chris Martinez for repairing an under the sink faucet hose that had a hole that sprayed to back of kitchen sink cabinet that lead to extensive water damage. Chris's role was to troubleshoot and recommend repair which he did + I added on minor plastic drain rerouting because of dishwasher water backing up into sink when draining. So for a new $250 faucet + $10 parts for draining I was charged and additional $550 for 3 hours labor ($183 per hour.) I'm older and on disability so this is a big deal but water damage remediation company coming shortly and I needed this fixed. Several days later water damage people come, tear out cabinets, drywall, insulation etc. and tell me there are 2 leaks from the work Chris Martinez did. Cold water connection has slight leak and coupling of drain pipe to disposal has significant leak and is leaking on bare wood floor recently exposed because of demolition. Immediately contacted Do It Right Plumbers in Orange, CA and female in office said we will be there next day which would be yesterday (Thur.) Mid-afternoon Thursday I started messaging them because I had ZERO communication from them since Wed afternoon despite sending multiple messages to them explaining situation and requesting invoice for original work that I have requested at 3X. It is now Friday afternoon and still have not heard from them since Wed. afternoon and no copy of original invoice. I should have known something was wrong when they were only ones that could come that day (they are not large company) and half-way through job I noticed what in my opinion was alcohol on Martinez's breath. My advice to you - you will more than likely be better off using another company. I was overcharged and they do not stand behind their work. read more

Completely horrible experience manager guaranteed to resolve the issue his employee created and then called back saying the owner decided NOT to honor that promise ! They said they would not honor their price though the estimate came with a 3day price lock guarantee once I was approved for financing at a higher amount. They said that I could not get what I requested as the location of my tankless was impossible to place and that the price has risen 7000+ dollars over the course of 3 days. When I was directed to the supervisor who guaranteed the price and asked about all the sudden changes and expenses he said the owner was now refusing the job and they would no longer be able to complete the project -- nor repair the issue they're own employee created! the day there were scheduled to install (a few days before I was to leave for a vacation) they ghosted me and then after informed me after I called a thousand time! They refused to give me it in writing so it was very difficult for me to prove to the bank they never completed service and it caused months worth of confusing credit issues because of it! Shady company overall! They blamed everything on their employee Dakota even calling him incompetent saying he made the mistake and "the tooth paste is already out of the tube" so they couldn't do anything for their mistake. I called another company Roto rooter and they came the very next day and completed the service literally it was done in one day by the other company no problems and passed inspection with ease. read more

Great service, showed up on time, and called ahead to confirm service time. they did a great job!!!!

I hired them to clear a slow draining kitchen sink the technician came out and talked my wife into doing a Hydro cleaning throughout the house the next day we use the washer in the garage and the water backed up and overflowed out of our secondary bathroom shower causing damage to all of our laminate flooring throughout the house. They contacted their insurance company that denied the claim stating we had an existing issue. If the Hydro cleaning would have been done correctly there would not have been an issue and they walked away from the project and charge me $1,800 to do the Hydro cleaning and the next day they fired the technician that did the work. I lost about $8,000 worth of laminate flooring throughout my hallway, bathroom, front entranceway, kitchen and dining area. Video camera showed some roots in the line and that is what they based their decision, but if Hydro cleaning would have been done correctly the roots would have also been cleared out along with all the debris that clogged the drain. read more

So highly disappointed with this company. Had two toilets, one had water running and other needed a new handle. They came out and told me to replace the mechanisms in one tank and the other needed a new flapper and ball. Wanted to charge me over $350. I said no thank you. Next day I bought a new flapper for $7 and a new handle for $8 at Lowes. Took me 15 minutes to go and buy the parts and another 10 to switch them out. Costed a total of $15. read more

Had a plumber from this company come out. Wanted 770.00 dollars to replace an out door faucet. Way to expensive. A plumber from another company came out today and did it for a quarter of the price. I had never called a plumbing service before but I am so glad that I called Do It Right. Jason was extremely nice and informative on the phone and was very sympathetic to my situation. Damian was my plumbing technician and was GREAT. He made me feel really comfortable and explained the different scenarios that could happen and he was very informative. Hands down one of the best experiences with a home services company! It takes a lot for me to say that after the experiences I've had, but when my water heater started leaking Do It Right Plumbers came to my rescue! My husband and I purchased our home a few years back and didn't know the water heater was so outdated. The few times in the past it had started making a lot of different noises but nobody was able to tell us what was wrong. Then the leak happened and Joe, the technician, explained a few different things, including the fact that our venting was set up wrong, which could have been the issue with the noises we had been hearing. He was up front with everything right from the start. He gave his recommendation but also gave us ALL the options, and was not pushy at all. Biggest thing was that he explained everything very clearly so we knew exactly what options we had and the differences between them. We ended up opting for a tankless water heater and from start to finish it was seamless. We had hot water that same day! Hands down just a great experience, even from the first phone call speaking to Tristan over the phone. Thank you Joe & the Do It Right Plumbers team! read more

My granddaughter has cancer and cannot be around any kind of bacteria. The kitchen sink exploded and we called a plumbing service out and that service never showed up. We had a water leak coming out of the bottom wall so Chris Martinez and Ken of DO IT RIGHT PLUMBING company came to see the cause of the problem. Soon after they pulled out the fridge against the same wall, Chris immediately figured there's nothing wrong with our plumbing but it's the broken fridge, which was causing the water leakage. Since they didnt do any work, he didnt want to charge us anything. They came in with coverd shoes and even offered to clean up the floor and push the fridge back. We have to say, the most professional, clean, courteous, honest, respectful and truly knowledgable plumbers we've ever met. We asked if we have to have our old plumbing system diagnosed, their fee is still definitely lower than any other company we had inquired from. WE CANT THANK CHRIS FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING!! We highly recommend them to family and friends =) read more

The only thing these guys did right was hire a competent restoration company to fix the damages they created after one of their Plumbers cut a pipe and let water run in a portion of our living room that had not been previously damaged. We had a slab leak and called these guys to come out, cap the line, and provide us with a reroute. The initial attempt by the first crew they sent out was a failure (as I alluded to above). They then sent out their "expert", which begged the question why he wasn't sent in the first place, who confirmed the work done by the first crew was not acceptable and led to additional damages. They offered no concessions for the work that created the damages despite the inconveniences created; however, they did own up to the damages. Once the reroute was completed the process of getting them to fix what they had damaged began and they made sure to make it arduous. After many calls and emails they finally sent out a restoration company of their choosing (despite requesting that I provide them with estimates to repair the damages from my own contractors) and the restoration company took care of us. I'll give them credit for paying for the damages, for a very emphatic/ responsive support desk, and for having a quality employee like Dakota on staff; however, the damages should have never occurred and management should have been diligent in their follow up to ensure that our situation was handled after their crew created additional damage. It was nearly impossible to get their management to respond and they still have never followed up to ensure our issues were resolved. Beyond that these guys are the most expensive plumbers we encountered. When we initially engaged them we asked about a whole house repipe and the price was over double relative to what other plumbers quoted. I wish their overall work was as good as their marketing/branding. Given my experience, I would NOT recommend them. read more

I had the tech out to look at a dripping faucet. He felt I should replace the faucet and gave me a quote of $125. That was with the $25 discount I was supposed to get for agreeing to wait for them to come out Saturday when they were supposed to be here Friday. He was to come out today to install it. The owner called me after the tech left Saturday tried to sell me a new faucet at $745 . Then dropped the price to $645 since I was on Work Comp and tighter on money. He pushed me to finance the faucet and take a plumbing program at $8 a month. I refused to spend that much money on a faucet. He then told todays cost would be $345. I asked how he could justify that when I already had a quote for $125. He said fine his tech would be out today. 20 min later the tech called me up and said the owner wouldn't have the work done for under $305. I said forget it I don't do business that way and hung up. I got another plumbing company and my cost was $95 and they didn't up it from their quote. read more
