I spoke with David last night, and he was able to get me on the books with someone first thing this morning. Christian arrived on time and was incredibly helpful. He took the time to educate me on the problem I was dealing with, the causes for it, and the solutions I had available. Luckily I was able to take advantage of the $99 Yelp special they offered, so this went from being a major headache to a minor inconvenience. After the service was complete, Christian took the extra time to check for any other leaks and to make sure things were looking good across the rest of the house, which I greatly appreciated. We found the water leak under the base of the toilet. Then we searched for the plumber around the area and gave Done-Rite a shot. Since I got multiple quotes from the plumbers around and their price was very competitive. It was easy to book an appointment. Then they assigned Jon to come to the site. He was on time. Updated when he was on his way. Jon was very friendly and professional. He answered all my questions about the leaked and he perfectly help us pull and reset the toilet. It only took like an hour and the whole process was pretty smooth. Again that he was very patient because I asked him lots of questions and he still answered all of them to help my concern. I had the two sinks in an upstairs bathroom not draining. Called D-R in the morning and was able to get a same day appointment in the early afternoon (their initial ball-park price estimate for this type of service call was lower than 2 other companies I called). I was given a scheduled time, and the tech texted when he was on his way. He arrived right on time, if not a few minutes early. Showed Christian and partner the problem and they went to work. Dual-sink bathroom drains are sometimes a little tricky because when you snake from one side, instead on going downward in the main drain, the snake will cross over thru the Y fitting over to the other sink drain pipe. So with a little bit of technique and patience, he was able to get the snake down the Y and into the main pipe and break up the clog. When he pulled out the snake, it pulled out a lot of gunk and hair, so it was good to see evidence of stuff being removed from the pipe. They worked fast and worked cleanly, and did not make a mess with the snake and drain water. This is the second time I've used Done-Rite, and like before, I am very satisfied with their service. I had a brand new washer and dryer installed, and during the installation, the technician mentioned that my water was backed up and suggested I get it checked out. I hired this company to run a snake through my pipes, only to be hit with a quote of $2150! I decided not to go with them--they charged me $79 for the visit--but I immediately sought a second opinion. The second plumber arrived, ran the snake, and confirmed there was nothing wrong with my pipes. Everything is working perfectly now. It's really unfortunate how some companies take advantage of your trust to push unnecessary, overpriced services. I definitely would not recommend them. Danny and the Done-rite team were incredible! We had a slab leak and they gave us 2 estimates, one for repair of the single slab leak and one for a whole house repipe. Done -rite completed the whole house re-piping in one day. Then the next day they returned and completed the drywall repair. While they were here they were able to also address the issue that we had had long term, where it took forever for us to get hot water to our second floor. They were able to run a loop of piping from the water heater, upstairs and back to the water heater and it fixed it! They were competent and professional. They were dis honest with me from the beginning of the work, by not working w hat there were call for which was for a water leak in the floor of an apartment. Had a couple small-ish jobs. The positives were easy scheduling, text updates on when the plumber would arrive and sharing a name and photo of him for easy ID. The negatives were around pricing. When he arrived, I asked about the price difference between replacing the cartridge for an old shower pull-out handle vs updating to a new lever handle. We opted for the cheaper fix but after completing the work, the plumber then tells me the pipes are starting to wear and we should update to the new handle soon. If I was given this information BEFORE the cartridge installation, I may have made a different decision. Now, I'm basically stuck paying for both services as I'll likely need to update soon. He did ultimately offer a partial discount for the new handle, but would have been ideal to know this before the work was done. Similarly, he snaked the kitchen drain and then told me it was too full of grease so we'd need the more expensive hydrojetting. Lastly, I was told we could get a small senior discount as this was for my parents home. When I asked the plumber, he confirmed this was included in the price but I then realized this actually wasn't included upon receiving the invoice. I'm not sure I'd work with them in the future and would suggest you look elsewhere. read more
