Mario came out to repair a pipe leak in my master bathroom. While he did fix the leak, he also mentioned that the shower valve water lines were leaking. At no point did he say there would be any additional charge for addressing it. Without asking or informing me, he cut off the shower valve 1/2" copper lines, soldered caps on them, and then told me it would be $250. I was understandably upset because this was an unexpected charge for work I never approved. Never giving me the option to get other quotes for this repair. When I questioned it, his response was, "it's nothing." It may have been nothing to him, but it was definitely something to me. I called their office and asked for a manager, and someone named Rachel claimed she was one. She said she was aware of the situation and told me, "nothing is for free," and even offered to come undo the work. That level of unprofessionalism shocked me. Instead of trying to make things right, they doubled down with attitude and zero customer service. It's clear that if management behaves this way, employees will too. Their prices also seem extremely unreasonable. I asked about a toilet installation and was quoted $1,500! Overall, this company lacks communication, professionalism, and respect for customers. While so many plumbers today use the tired, old familiar schemata of "quote $175 over the phone for an unclog, then come and do an exploratory snaking with "photos" (often pulled from their hard drive) showing impossible sludge and then upping the price to $2,700 or higher with the warning that "if this won't clear things up the price could soar to $31,000+ to jackhammer through your bathroom floor to dig up and replace your pipes," etc. But thankfully Ted & Bros don't roll like that. In fact they're the polar opposite. No scamming, no shell games. These guys were courteous & professional from the dispatch (thanks Maya!) and both Mario and Gustavo were prompt, skillful, professional, and quoted a very reasonable price and honored it when finished. These guys are the best. Our gas line from the street to our new house was leaking, and the gas company had turned our gas off. We were pretty sure the gas was leaking inside the house as well. So I got a pink slip from gas company for a gas leak in a pipe on the gas meter. I thought this was going to cost a lot. I narrowed down to 3 plumbers. Two of the plumbers suggest turning off the gas line, cutting the leaking line so it's no longer connected to the existing meter. Then, capping it off. The suggestion made sense and I couldn't believe how cheap it was to fix it. So i went with Ted and bros plumbing because they were cheaper of the two quotes. I'm truly happy with the results and ease of mind knowing the issue is fixed and (if I wanted to, they can remove the cap to put new pipes in the future.) Technician Fabian even showed me how to turn off the gas on the meter if I ever smell a gas leak and that advice is worth a million $ to me. Thanks Fabian for sharing that info. It's never good taking a shower and feeling the water start to pool. You know the drill, plunger, check all drains & flush toilet. The flush was all bad. Called Ted & Bros plumbing after looking at a few. Ezekiel & his guy came out at time I was told. Told Ezekiel what I knew. Ezekiel did the camera work, & I found out my line goes through the back and we did not find a 4"clean out. Can't get to the root cause of the problem ( no pun intended) which is roots in the sewer line. Being in the Trades industry I know what Ezekiel is saying. Need installation of 4" clean out/ 2- way, & hydro-jetting to root removal. Ezekiel gave me the rundown & estimate.Made sure home team was on board & approved work order. I desperately needed a plumber for a leak in the ceiling and I found Ted & Bros. I didn't hesitate to call because I saw all the 5-star reviews and it's safe to say I was very underwhelmed... The technician came out to replace the pipe and during the process, created two major holes (bigger than necessary) and replaced a small section of the pipe and charged me almost 1k. We thought the problem was resolved but a couple of days later, the water leak continued. I spoke with a female receptionist and she explained that it wasn't their responsibility if it was a leak that they didn't fix initially. I was so confused because I had hired them to assess and diagnose the situation properly and the leak was coming from the same area where the pipe was fixed. Thankfully, the technician did come back and point out where the leak was which was the surrounding area but I wondered why it wasn't picked up on during the initial assessment. It's been a little frustrating dealing with something that could have been figured out but I would think twice and do more shopping before you choose to work with them. read more
