On May 21, my garbage disposal made clunking sounds - NOT something inside the disposal, the SoCal Plumbing repairman said when he came out. He replaced the garbage disposal with an upgraded model he told me. Then, AFTER he finished installing the new disposal, he told me I needed a new air gap (which was clearly obvious even to me before he came so he must have seen it then), but only LATER told me that needed replacing, $75, and he had to go to Home Depot to buy a new one. It took him almost 3 hours from start to finish. Cost was $760. Now, 1 week later, I woke up at 1 a.m. and found dirty water on my kitchen floor in front of the garbage disposal cabinets. I opened the cabinets and found my large plastic container that held supplies was FILLED WITH the DIRTY WATER to the RIM! I called SoCalPlumbing at 2am hoping they could send someone out to fix on an emergency. Joseph did call back, seemed undisturbed, no concern at all, and said they will try and have someone out 9a-10a, that it was a "quick fix". I already had problems with the extended time the installation took over what I was told in getting this installed, so was already very stressed, especially since I had to at least clean it up the outside floor myself, and am worried about the wood/pressboard base insidegetting ruined also. read more

Drip, drip, drip. That's the sound of brownish water dripping out of our pipes uncontrollably when we ran the disposal. Bonk, bonk, bonk! That was the sound of my heart when I realized we had another water problem that needed to be fixed right away! I called a different company that we had used before, and they came right over. After looking at the issue, they were happy to replace the garbage disposal and even had the unit in their truck, but the price seemed way off. A quick google search confirmed that the pricing was ridiculous. So even though I wanted it fixed right then, I declined and turned to Yelp Projects. I asked a very simple question...can I get a quote to replace a Badger Garbage Disposal? SoCal Plumbing & Rooter came back with a straight-forward price that was half the cost of what the previous company quoted and was very much in-line with what Google said was a fair price for parts plus labor. They scheduled us for right away and were super communicative in the process. I had a window of time to expect my technician, and not only did they call and let me know when I could expect him, but he arrived on time and was SO nice! I reached out to this company to get a quote for repairing a main water line that was leaking, Victor came out and diagnosed the issue quickly. He was very professional and gave me an estimate with the price and scope of work. I ultimately chose another licensed contractor because they could perform the same work at the same price but with a 5 year warranty which was hard to beat. I understand warranties are usually 1 year and the chances of something going bad before 10 years is unlikely but as a homeowner it is hard to pass on extra value. I will contact this company again if I have plumbing issues as they are excellent in response and fair in pricing. read more

I had a kitchen grease clog where I had a previous plumber take a look and was unable to find the drain pipe and suggested a $4000 job to break concrete and physically inspect the pipe and overhaul it. I asked Socal Plumbing for a second opinion and they really provided incredible customer service and professionalism. They gave me some advice over the phone and told me that if they weren't able to unclog it like the previous plumber, they wouldn't charge me anything for doing a camera inspection and snake. Mikey and Eddie were able to unclog the drain and it was by some form of miracle. The reason it was so difficult to find and unclog was because whoever did my home's plumbing, put the fitting in the wrong orientation, therefore the camera and snake would run past the drain and towards the vent because the vent was the path of least resistance while the drain had to take a 45 degree angle turn. Eddie put on a master class using both the camera wire and snake wire to navigate them into a bend that they did not naturally want to detour to. These gentleman deserve all the praise. Saved $20,000! Dreading that we have to repipe from the slab leak in our kitchen (diagnosed and pushed by another company). We had our kitchen sink clogged on a Wednesday evening and was not able to self resolve it after a few days. Late Friday evening I decided to finally look for a plumber to help with the fix. Today, early morning I get a response back that SoCal Plumbing can send someone out between the hours of 11a to 1pm. Sure enough I got a call from Peter, the dispatch manager at 12:30p to let us know to expect both Mario and Ezekiel to be here within 10 to 20 minutes. The technicians arrived shortly and went straight to the source of the problem. After assessing the problem, they provided two options with no hidden fees. We chose to go with option 2 to snake and also hydrojet the clean out. They saw some other issues with our piping that they graciously addressed as well. We had an in ground burst pipe at our house, along with a leaking water heater. I texted Fredico early in the morning and he responded right away. He came out to do an inspection and used moisture detention tools and water detention scanner to locate all of the problem areas. He didn't try to over sell me and worked with me each step of the way so I am aware of the situation and the possible solutions. I ended up opting to get the whole house repiped since it's less evasive and Fredico ensured me that the water can be working again in 1 day. He wasn't lying. The next day a crew of 8 guys came and repiped my whole house in one day and then another crew came and re patched all my walls. The crews they sent was very professional and clean. They covered all areas and was very respectful of my house. The other rep that assisted me was Jose. He was very delightful to work with. Very knowledgeable in the field and very professional. Toilet wasnt flushing correctly. SoCal responded quickly and answered my questions without needing to send a crew first. They laid out the services that I would potentially need (hand-held auger and/or removing the toilet and snaking the drain) and was up front about the pricing. They cost a little bit more than others, but they were the only ones that could meet the timeframe I needed since I was having guests over. They sent over 2 guys withing the time frame they provided and were professional. They confirmed the problem was a clog with a boroscope camera and cleared it with the hand held auger.
