The outside shut off valve also needed the regulator replaced (the cost was very expensive) but the house is 20+ years old so I gave my approval. Shannon did an excellent job and didn't mind me watching, not to check his work but to learn, I'm always looking to learn about any trade. Afterwords they cleaned up everything and were on their way. Round 2! Still not a handyman. Our sink was backing up anytime we let the water run more then 1 minute. If we ran the garbage disposal, stuff came up on one side of the sink. Anytime we ran the dishwasher, both sinks flooded. I youtubed a solution that worked for about a day (baking soda and vinegar). But then our problem came back again. I had been traveling for work from Monday-Thursday and was so eager to get home on Thursday afternoon.
